Hi, I have an issue with KappaGen, bounce animations does not show on obs browser. It do work in my browser and in the editor. Their is an error thrown in the console when emulating emote event but after doing some testing I'm not sure it has something to do with my problem. Hey everyone, because this could fit in both the Twitch and YouTube channels I am putting it here. I stream on both Twitch and YouTube (and also Trovo soon but that's for the future). A while back thinking I had already linked my YT to SE I tried to login and because that was not the case it created a new YouTube account for me.

Because of that account I am now unable to link the channel to my primary account that has Twitch on it as the channel is already claimed. Is there anyway I can merge both accounts so that both my Twitch and YouTube use the same StreamElements resources and analytics and such?

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3. Stop your stream/recording.
4. Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+.

Sorry, I’ve been asking for help for 24 hours now. I’m sure everyone is busy. My activity feed isn’t updating. It’s only showing new followers, no raids or subs. This causes my alerts not to go off. Is there a fix to this? My filters are set correctly. I signed in and out of twitch on OBS. I signed in and out of SE on OBS as well. I’ve uninstalled and installed SE Live. The only recent change to my stream was I changed my twitch name 2 weeks ago.

From what I can see they were prime subs and the privacy behavior is enabled by default, which means that the points are not shared with us therefore the points won't be added.

Question: For the !watchtime command, does it count a month as 30 days? 28 days? or 31 days? Ex: if this is calculated to staight hours, the total number of hours is around 800. But, depending on how long a month is considered, the hours calculation will fluctuate. Thank you!

Hey all, I noticed in 2 streams that some donations from viewers were being charged but not appearing in my alerts nor my Paypal account. I asked the two viewers and it looks like their credit card statements shows it went through. How do I go about trouble shooting this? Is this common?

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

I am trying to add a follower goal bar to my overlay, and for some reason I set my goal, but in the middle there is a larger number that is the supposed amount I got during stream. I can't get it to reset to 0. Right now for the day it should be at 0, but it says 120 in the middle.

To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello! I'm having issues with the SE Bot in my stream. I have tried Parting - Joining the bot with my channel, resetting the integration with Twitch and with OBS and my StreamDeck. SIlly question, having issues of major delays for alerts going off. CPU usage is 0.5%, no video or pictures in the alerts, running as admin, no bandwidth issues either. I have run out of things to check to fix this issue.

Nope, only StreamElements with the commands I am having issues with. I.E. !discord-command works, but !hug does not work - but they are both through StreamElements chatbot. No commands go through StreamDeck, so I have to manually type them all out in chat.

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

The question I had about it was, are they hearing the sound when I hear it? Meaning when the sound comes through to me and I hear the alert, they are only getting the sound as well through Desktop Audio in OBS?

To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

But 2 things are bothering me, Streamlabs doesn't show this Shrek copypasta and has this "chunky" visual setting that I feel like is prettier, how can I make the streamelements chatbox exactly like the streamlabs one?

Yes. Twitch has 24 hour exclusive rights as an affiliate. You are technically unable to clip anything and post it to another platform for 24 hours after the stream ends

yes i have 😦 and somehow it really doesnt work for subs when i tried it with a friend a while ago. everything else works though. it was just for that emote moment for the chat. it works for me and the mods though.

hm, i've been at 3 subs for quite a bit. does it help to know that my friend was one of the first ones so she has that badge that says they were subscribed to me? we tested out through my chat and i could see my emotes pop up but not theirs.

on a previous stream though, i can notice that my mod is able to use the emote thing for the chat and have it pop up even without being subscribed to me.

both have to be met at the same time. So for example if you set the timer to 5 minutes, and set the chat lines to 1, typing a single message into chat should trigger the timer. The other part is that the bot needs to be in your channel and a moderator in your channel to read the messages and parse the data.

You can't really format twitch chat. The best thing that you could try is to expand the chat dock large enough for the ascii spam to try to display. Unfortunately Streamlabs didn't provide any of their code back to the OBS Studio repository like they were supposed to so it's impossible to tell what modifications they made to the source code to enable what you saw.

Again, make sure the bot is in your channel by clicking the Part Channel/Join Channel button on the dashboard, and then typing /mod streamelements in your twitch chat

it should work, make sure your timers are set to Both if you're not live so that they will work when testing offline

Check your timer settings and set it to Both. You should be able to then test it while not streaming.

Having issues with two things.

1. StreamElement's overlay for hosts specifically, I tested raids and it works for that, same with the other alerts. Host just doesn't pop up. I tried setting it to minimum 0 and minimum 1. Still nothing.

2. Chat modules for hosts doesn't work either.

I'm having an issue with the widget Kappagen for ny overlay on Twitch. It doesn't allow me to select any emotes for the "emotesplosions". So the widget is working, it's just not showing any emotes so you can't see that it's working. When I press the button to select emotes the pop-up window is just blank. How do I fix this?

We have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
