Hi! I have a question, but it's a bit of a complex one. I've been streaming on Twitch for a long time, and I have had my alerts & tips run off of StreamLabs. I've recently started looking into multistreaming, and I may relinquish my Twitch affiliate status so I can multistream on Twitch along with Glimesh, Trovo, and YouTube. What I'd like to know is, would I be able to set up alerts for YouTube, Twitch, and Trovo all at the same time off of StreamElements? (I want to get rid of StreamLabs for obvious reasons.) we don't have multistreaming support, but you could create alerts for each of those platforms and add them all individually to OBS

That is correct. The chat widget and alert widgets live inside the overlay. You can adjust the settings for the chat and alerts widgets from the online overlay editor

Our Dashboard and Overlay Editor are Chromium Optimized. We strongly recommend using Chrome. Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins is blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in an incognito tab.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hello, I've been trying to import Currency.csv from streamlabs chatbot by following "Import other platforms into StreamElements" help, but it keeps saying Import Failed when I select my currency.csv and press import. I also removed headers (I'm not exactly sure what it is, but first lines that say Name, Points and Hours) but it still failed.

Hi guys! I've just started transferring all my stream stuff from StreamLabs to StreamElements and I've noticed that my public StreamElements page still lists my old Twitch name in certain places (see pic). Is there anyway for me to edit this?

I changed my Twitch name a few years ago from PAND4M0N1UM to PandamoniumOCE.

So I've been having an issue with the streamelements extension in OBS. I'm no longer able to use a custom bot name. When I go to connect custom bot account, it gives me the pop up with a login page, I enter the login info, and then the 2FA page, I enter that, the pop up closes but nothing has changed.

I tried resetting everything and un/reinstalling, but it seems the issue is with my account because I have the same issue from a different computer, and the issue is gone if I logout from SE and sign in to my bot account.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I have set the text to 50. To clarify, the issue is with the secondary text i.e. the subscriber message, not the alert text itself. The alert text seems to be fine, but I cannot seem to get the subscriber messages to show themselves no matter how i edit the text margin/size settings

It's strange, I've enabled the 'show message guides' option which I assume shows boundaries for the mesage itself, but it appears to be a vertical line as opposed to a box which I assume again would be the purpose of the option

and It appears to be all of my sub alerts, I've only just started customising this overlay for a general alert window, I worry that I may have borked something in the regular sub alert setting that I've carried on to resubs, community subs etc.

So like I have slide animation set to five seconds, slide in, then out.

Enter/Exit Animation Slide In/Out at 5 seconds. Text: Enter/Exit as None/Fade Out and 10 sec / 15 sec.

I'm in the process of switching from StreamLabs to StreamElements for alerts and such. I wanted to set up a death counter overlay. The bot counter is set up and working fine. However, I can't get the overlay portion to work.

I added a new overlay > add widget > labels > bot counter and changed the text in the settings to Deaths: {deathadd} and saved. But when I test the command !deathadd in my chat, the bot counter in chat updates but the overlay does not.

Hi, since we are talking about the store... I have some stream perks set up on the !store that trigger sounds and alerts (whoch show fine); however, for some of the viewers when they use the SE panel and redeem items from there, SE uses my points (the streamer) and shows my name as the one who redeemed the item. The issue does not seem to happen when they do !redeem. Is there any setup that I am missing or is this a known issue? Thanks!

@cosmic badger Hey, it seemed like you set up properly. FYI the commands contained unneeded symbols (these triangular brackets <>).
The issue with the widget was that it was set to count the 'deathadd' command while it should have been counting the 'death' command itself.
I've edited both your commands and overlay variable and it seems to be counting properly now.

this is something that i never tested; but i would imagine that is true.

When they talk in chat for the first time, the bot chats a message and plays a short audio clip. It is triggered on the username not any "!<command>" type of use. How do we do this in StreamElements?

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Our Dashboard and Overlay Editor are Chromium Optimized. We strongly recommend using Chrome. Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins is blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in an incognito tab.

• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Hi! I had a question about the alerts. I changed the alert image to one that I wanna use and it works with all of the events (followers, cheers etc.) but for subscriber it is still an image that I don't want. I have already looked in the variations settings and changed everything there but it is still the wrong image

@split ridge i just made a new canvas, and coppied all the html/css/js and works right now thank you for your time and effort i hope it you can figure out your issue with the extra life if there anythingi can help with let me know. I think while importing it from SL it din't set the correct size/diminsions for the canvas

Roxy: May I make a suggestion and have you clear the images, by clicking the (x)? after everything is cleared, check to see if it gives the same image, if so, then you may have a duplicate layer element that gives the alerts. If not, then try adding the images back 1 at a time.

you can go to the 'static/custom', and make a custom widget. The catch is you would have to javascript, css, and html your own chat widget, but you would have had to do that anyway if you were planning on messing with the html/css/javascript anyway.

You can test alerts via the Emulate bell on the lower left side of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard > My Overlays > pencil/edit button on the overlay. Make sure the Preview LIVE on stream option is on to see the alert in OBS/XSplit** https://streamable.com/vtulg9

hey all, so now i have the problem of both of my sounds playing when i use a variation alert (like, i have Sound 1 for the default and Sound 2 for the variation, and both Sound 1 and Sound 2 play when the variation goes off, not the issue of hearing my alert twice). anyone have any suggestions? 😅

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4
