If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Hi! Random issue. I just switched from YT to Twitch and duplicated my custom overlay to use on Twitch. Issue is I cannot edit the Secondary Text for the Subscriber alert. It will not let me change any setting or input any font for Secondary. For Subscriber variations secondary text, I can input the settings and change font but they don't take effect at all. Any ideas? anyone got any quick answers on why when I streamed tonight OBS, I had my OBS tell me I was streaming and my twitch tell me I was not, about 20 minutes into streaming and then another 40 minutes later. Keep in mind that it worked between those times and stopping stream and starting stream took a long while

essentially, what Im saying is I started streaming. 20 minutes later, it stops on twitch but OBS says im still streaming

repeats 40 minutes later

had to restart stream to get working again

there was complaints about bit rate in the corner of obs saying bit rate was exceeded

Steps:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
3. Click on Enable Custom Font
4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

I've got a weird one. My google-foo isn't working. Forza Horizon 5, runs fine. Stream, runs fine. When tabbed into Game, all desktop stuff is paused. Video preview, chat, sound meters. Click onto second monitor, everything refreshes with no issues. No dropped frames or anything. Only game it does this with. Borderless fullscreen issue? Stream appears fine from a viewer perspective.

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Is it possible to make another Twitch account be a Bot through StreamElements. Like GPJesBot and then the Bot is able to say things in chat, or make another Bot that you can change the name of that can chat on the stream.

Also, are sound commands a thing? I have yet to find how to add them if so.

Those two things are the only things I have through another bot service and I would like to change that.

Hi I have a question about command on streamlabs bot, command goes like this " ${touser} is a level ${random.1-420} High." I want to know if 420 is possible to get because there is a reward if someone gets 420. I've tried to make a command with 1-3 and I keep getting only level 1 and 2, I've never got level 3. so I don't know if max number is included and possible to get when someone use the command.

Hi friends, I'm in the process of moving alerts from SL to SE, figuring out the backend.. Issue I've run into is I get my alert to slide in left, exit right. Text is aligned center over my follower image but at the half-way mark of the alert, the text disappears while the image slides out left, as if one or the other is too short of a time lapse?

I've recently made the move from Streamlabs to Streamelements due to the controversy surrounding SLOBS...

**I've been trying to get all my twitch alerts plugged in but they seem to be out of frame in the browser source for some odd reason.

I have tried this with numerous overlay attempts and usually this type of stuff is a simple fix and was hoping someone might have a clue of what I'm missing.**

The default resolution for StreamElements overlays (theme and custom) is 1920x1080. Please add them in OBS at their full resolution and use CTRL+F to fit to screen if necessary. You can then downscale your stream in OBS settings > Video if you'd like https://i.imgur.com/6bWXxjR.png
