If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I've tried to log in to connect the custom bot account to obs, and it let's me go through it all, then I click authorize, it takes me to a white screen then the screen goes away but it doesn't show that the account was connected. Idk what I should do now

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Actually, you can try ${count "${sender}_value"}

That way the variable will only count for the sender and will append the string _value to the counter (it doesn't need to be _value, it can be any string you want)

Okay, not sure if this is the right channel. But regarding SE chat commands, is there any sort of conditional statements allowed?
The idea was to have a command that makes a random number roll b/w 1-20, and based on the provided random number prints out a different message.

Hi Helpdesk! I have two users who are unable to use subscriber only redeems using chat commands in my Twitch channel chat. They are the only two, and the commonality between them is that they have changed their Twitch names, same account, since their last time in my chat. They have both used the rename command to successfully transfer over their watch time, yet when they use the !redeem soundname command, the sound doesn't trigger and the receive the response "StreamElements: @Username, Item is subscribers only". I have no clue where to post this since there isn't a section for SE.pay, but when I try to tip a streamer I get asked to log with Twitch or other providers (don't really get the point, other solutions don't require viewers to log in and it seems a bit much) then get redirected to streamelements.com/<streamer>/tip?comingFromOntip=true which has a greyed out Tip button, this happens both in Firefox and Edge. Only way I managed to solve it was to remove the comingFromOntip=true part AFTER the login and then it would work.

You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

You should adjust the text animation settings so it doesn't quickly fade out, you'll have to play with it until it matches how you want, however, but those options are what you are looking for

Hi Helpdesk! I have two users who are unable to use subscriber only redeems using chat commands in my Twitch channel chat. They are the only two, and the commonality between them is that they have changed their Twitch names, same account, since their last time in my chat. They have both used the rename command to successfully transfer over their watch time, yet when they use the !redeem soundname command, the sound doesn't trigger and the receive the response "StreamElements: @Username, Item is subscribers only". How can I fix this? Thank you. (Addendum: They do not Streamelements accounts so there is no account for them to log in and out of, and none of the other users who are able to use the chat commands have Streamelements accounts yet they are able to use the chat commands.)

The text, image, and sound are all separate assets with their own run times, so they don't automatically sync up when added. As mentioned , you just have to tweak the animation settings until it looks how you would want. For example, add a couple seconds to the text animation and see how that looks

In the video you posted, at 31 seconds, that would be how. Adjust those numbers to extend/shorten the text animations. The text itself doesn't have a set duration, it's the animation that make it leave early

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Specific Browser Source stopped working in SLOBS (worked fine for a month and stopped working ~2 days ago):
Anything with "streamelements.com" (as far as I tried) does not show up.
Browser Source flashes white for a second then shows black / is invisible / transparent.
Except for Overlays. streamelements.com/overlay/xxxx is working. Other sites like google or twitch show up as well.
I tried de- and reactivating "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration (requires restart)", deleting and re adding the the browser source, deleting files in "slobs-client/cache" and "slobs-client/plugin_config/obs-browser/cache".

Hi, my friend has a problem with his twitch panel extension. It worked fine before but I noticed yesterday on his stream that it showed wrong amount of loyalty points. We then realized that it showed his (the streamer's) amount of loyalty points and redeeming stuff from store also went from his account and not mine. His stream is mik_vr and he disabled the panel for now so no one can exploit it.

To reset goals:

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

in twitch settings change in the chat's leaderboard the time range to "All-time" - this will allow the extension to grab data from the chat directly and populate itself. (This applies for both cheers and gifted subs.) After the extension grabs data, change the time back to what it was before if you wish.

Hi. We have a few widgets that can do it, some of them are custom and located in the #widget-share channel, others like the store redemption widget are default - you can check out the stream store for example to have that combined with an overlay alert and loyalty etc.

The stream store is located on our page in the Loyalty settings, this can have items being triggered via command and play alerts etc.

For clarity, I'll repost my full question from yesterday: Hi Helpdesk! I have two users who are unable to use subscriber only redeems using chat commands in my Twitch channel chat. They are the only two, and the commonality between them is that they have changed their Twitch names, same account, since their last time in my chat. They have both used the rename command to successfully transfer over their watch time, yet when they use the !redeem soundname command, the sound doesn't trigger and the receive the response "StreamElements: @Username, Item is subscribers only". How can I fix this? Thank you. (Addendum: They do not have a Streamelements accounts so there is no account for them to log in and out of, and none of the other users who are able to use the chat commands have Streamelements accounts yet they are able to use the chat commands.)

My question is, does Streamelements keep anything on their side maybe on my dashboard that shows a running list of who they view as subscribers

We do have data about subscribers, but not as a list - mostly as data in widgets like the most recent subscriber etc.
The system for the chat and store redemption is not linked to the subscriber alerts etc. - this is different. Can you let them log into StreamElements and check it?

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

There are no particulars in the FAQ about it, so I'm hoping to get some specifics. In particular, would someone have a higher chance of winning if they buy 100 tickets all at once as opposed to 20 tickets spread over 5 separate buys? Does StreamElements generate multiple instances of ticket purchases for a user spread out over every purchase, or are they just totaled cumulatively per user? And is winner selection truly randomized with no way to game the system?

Not really much of an issue but since the latest UI update in the dashboard, sometimes clicking on a certain section in the chat bot brings me to the main page of the dashboard but highlights the section I clicked like it brought me there. Clicking the section again makes it actually bring me there. Doesn't happen every time.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Its just the fact that you guys don't give updates or put out announcements that things aren't working as they should. I've been a developer for 10 years and have always had the courtesy to give an estimated timeline and some details as to why something is broken. There must be a lot of huge streamers who use these overlays wondering what is going on and to not have an estimated timeline is rough.

This might not be the exact place to post this, but I don't see a "helpdesk-streamelements" so here goes?

In StreamElements I've got my regular alerts widget. Under the base alert for Subscribers I've got a generic "thank you" with a sound clip. Then under Variations I've got 20 variants, each with "When months subscribed is at least 2 (chance of 5%)" and a different gif that plays for each.

My problem is... a lot of the time it'll just play the base subscriber alert, even if someone is resubscribing? Like it's a regular in the community. Twitch shows the like... Can you try to set the main alert empty (remove text, sound and image) and create a variation that says "exact" 1 month to have this for 1 month?

Not sure what is the issue here, the variations should always have priority over the base alert if the event matches.

I think that may have done it? I'll have to see live but doing a bunch of tests in SE it seems good. Before the change it was sometimes triggering "base" subs even if I tested with a custom user multiple times and set the months higher than 1.

is there any way to make it so that you can add a ! in front of responses for the chatbot alerts? I'm using a 3rd party TTS for chat and would like some alerts to be read over TTS and some alerts not to be read over TTS, it seems the streamelements bot will @theperson first, then put the custom message, for example if I redeem something from the store it will say: StreamElements: @b3ck, ! you successfully redeemed Such a Good Boy! for 100 Live bait. I also have the module disabled and it still gives the alert in chat:

Still no go actually, just tested. I thought some alerts weren't working since nothing was happening (since we blanked the base sub alert). So now instead I've got the base alert set to an obvious error pic/sound. I did set up the "Month 1 = exact" thing. But still when I test from SE (and push it to Live in OBS) I'm getting my base sub alert... seemingly at random?

I thought it might be because SE/Twitch "sees" a person with a different name as a "new sub" and therefore does the base alert. So I did a custom test with the name "Bob" several times so it's the "same" person and sometimes it plays the variants, sometimes plays the base alert.

Same thing if I just do live-tests with random names (the ones that StreamElements auto-populates)... sometimes I'll get that base alert, other times I get the variants I want.

You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

!command show (commandname) - allows you to see the raw response of a command before variables are used

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello, I changed my username a few months ago (although I already had StreamElements before the name change) and just noticed today that my old username is still listed as the broadcaster. I already read the Chat Bot Overview and Guide before coming here.

What I've already done:

• Parted the bot, logged-out of StreamElements, logged-in again, made the bot join the channel chat again. Tried the !level [username] 100 command; it tells me that I can't demote someone with a higher level than my own. (x 4)
• Deleted my old username from user management (x 7)
• Logged-out of StreamElements, parted the bot, made the bot join my channel again, tried the !level [username] 100 command. Same results.

My Chat Stats page is also returning a 404 error.

I still see my old username as the broadcaster under user management. Keep deleting it, but it still keeps coming back. Tried the !level [oldusername] 100 command. It failed. Hope this helps illustrate the issues.

@fleet prairie Thanks for the elaborated vid! That's not an issue per se, overlays do take time to load, unfortunately.
In order to smooth the transition up you should use 'studio mode' before switching scenes (or even keep working in studio mode if you find it comfortable).
