If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello, it's probably something on my side, but it seems that my exit animations for my follower alert isn't working. Any ideas? I have my alert duration set to default 10 seconds and the exit animation duration set to 0.5 seconds. It seems that it the enter animation works just fine in the editor and in OBS, but the exit animation only works in the editor and not OBS.

Nvm, so it seems that the exit animation did not work for the "animation" settings but worked for the "text animation" settings. Idk why I wasn't using that in the first place anyways

1. Click on your channel name at the top of the dashboard
2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)

Hello, wondering if this is possible. I'm trying to get a chat bot command that will both play a sound and put text in the chat. I have the store redemption set. And I have a chat command set. If I just have the text I want in the command, the text shows up. If I add the $(redeem) argument, only the sound plays and the text doesn't display. Is there a variable I'm missing?

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Got a question is there a way to limit the amount of times a person uses a redeem? Cooldowns don't seem to work what I'm talking about is like let’s say one person couldn’t do it again until like and hour or whatever. Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So I figured out how to import my alerts from Streamlabs to Streamelements but its giving me issues. The alert won't work unless I disable CSS but even when I do that, the name/message in the alert appears at the top of the alert box instead of on top of the alert it self. Selecting text over image does nothing.

I wanted to activate the 8ball command for my chat. I've used it before with another bot, but now im moving most stuff to SE.
I did enable the module for it. I made some costum answers and saved everything.
Now i switched the command to enabled and set some aliases.
I saved and did a test in chat. Its not working. I looked at SE site again and the command is not enabled . Everytime i turn it on after i reload page or click around and come back its disenabled. I did save everytime.

What am I doing wrong here? Did I miss something?

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Guys, could someone please help me?
I recently bought the Dot.Wave pack from VBI and imported the overlays using the quick import links they provide.
After that I proceed to add new variations to the alerts and apparently I can't add more than 1 variation, every time I add 2 or more the system can't save my progress, it gets stuck on "Saving..." and nothing ever happens.

I've already tried to clear my cache/cookies and logged out and in again, as well as deleting everything and starting all over and nothing seems to work.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

When I click connect custom bot account, authorize it then the authorization window is closed, but bot is not connected and I can't at least send test message. Can you give me some advice? Thanks 🙂

Lets do these in order

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Yes, Doom. I just tried something about as common as it gets, "Mario." And a ton of results came up for Mario Party (and probably more), but when I backspaced it, I was only left with Mario Rabbids Kingdom battle, and no longer the 3 shown in my image. And typing Mario again brought up nothing more than just Mario Rabbids.

In the past I recall being able to select Doom 3.

There's 1 singular instance that causes PP tips to not show instantly and beyond our control.

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

You will have to gain affiliate status first, then afterwards logout from our dashboard and login again. This will refresh the system into seeing that you can now receive subs and cheers.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I'm having some issues with overlays.
recently I added a webm file with audio to one of my overlays. But I have removed the audio from this webm file later on, and uploaded that file.
However every time I submit the new file, it still seems to go back to the old one(with audio). Even if I try to straight up delete it. (the file when downloaded does not have audio either).

Any idea? I rather not set up a new overlay, but it's probably the only solution from what I can tell.

So I'm using obslive plugin and came across another comment here where someone suggested to uninstall but keep settings/scenes. Did that and noticed my buttons weren't generically dev'ed named (start streaming button at some point changed to start.stream.activate or some nonsense and that happened to all the other buttons).

After the reinstall (streamfx and streamelements/live) everything looks normal now. Will stream tonight and report results.

It's separate from the chat/bot roles. You need to send them an invite which they will need to accept.

Bot supervisor should give them the ability to change those alerts if you don't want them to have full access to (just about) everything in your StreamElements account.

Hi, I performed the steps described inside the getting-started page, anyway my alertbox does not show when the events are triggered, for example during a new follwer. @blissful pewter Hey! We have checked internally and there has indeed been a closure request sent in on the 21st of October. Since the accounts were linked, both accounts have been deleted.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

I don't recall requesting any account closure that's a shame, the only thing I requested was a merge account request which seemed to work perfectly for the past couple of weeks. I assume I'll have to start fresh?

The deletion request was made using the form, we were not contacted for it.
Unfortunately, once an account is deleted, it cannot be recovered, I'm sorry.

Also, if pressing the "close my account" button, you will not receive a confirmation for it, but the process will start.
This might have been the case?

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

That happened to me yesterday mid-stream, my custom bot through StreamElements just stopped working, even though the settings were all correct and the test message didn't work; I just had to log out and back in to OBS.Live and it was fixed.

Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

1. Click on your channel name at the top of the dashboard
2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)

if you are speaking about your chat stats in specific users channels, you would need to go that channel and use the !rename command
