If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

I have a question related to RegEx-triggered commands:

The command exists already and is basically - Command Name "!where" Response "@${user} I don't know"

Ideally, someone would type in chat - "Where is Bob?" or "When is james streaming?" and the RegEx would catch that and trigger the command. (Basically, the use case is to auto reply for when someone asks in chat where or when someone else will be doing something.)

I tried with the suggested "Google RE2 Syntax" and came up with "^((?i)(when|where).(is|will).(bob|james))" - however, despite the success of this in testing, it does not work in production (of course).

In troubleshooting I just tried using one word, removing the case sensitivity flag, and even different RegEx syntaxes. Then after a while just copied and pasted the example from the Streamelements documentation on Commands for the Greeting RegEx command - and still nothing has worked.

Please advise if possible. Thanks!

If you are talking about the !settitle command, that is an elevated command beyond just moderator and is an extra Streamelements Setting.

You should still be able to change Title via Twitch's Mod View.

Good evening, quick question for anybody able to assist - since Twitch reset stream keys, they hypeboss function is not working as intended; once the hypeboss HP reaches 0, nothing happens... old boss remains, and HP stays at 0 (doesn't heal or dip below 0). I've tried removing and adding a new hypeboss from all relevant overlays, as well as disconnecting and reconnecting SE from my Twitch channel, with no luck.

Is there anything else I can try on my end, or is this purely on the SE side, and I just have to wait patiently for a fix?

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

They could not find Twitch commands, specifically !settitle. After a Mobile screenshot post of iOS web use to access SE Website, I noticed they were viewing the YT chat command section. That is what lead to the request to know how to separate the YT account.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I'm having an issue with the Extension panel on Twitch. My Top Subs and all apart from All Tim cheers are showing as "No Data". I've followed steps like logging out of SE Dashboard, uninstalling the extension, then logging back in but it's not worked

it's not something we have control over if the tip wasn't given via your SE tipping page or if their transaction failed or is pending

they should take it up with their bank or credit card company if you see no indication of the tip in your account

I just made the switch from streamlabs obs to regular obs. I put in the alerts and my overlay and all the picture shows up, just no sound. I tested through the browser to see if it was something there but the browser plays my alert sound perfectly fine

Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

When I get resubs currently, it triggers the T1 sub alert (setup for when the Subscription is exactly T1) instead of the resub alert (setup for when months subbed is at least 2).

It’s because it takes your internet connection a certain amount of time to load the overlay. Best thing you can do is time how long it takes to load the overlay and use a stinger that takes that amount of time so your overlay loads in the background

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

When you ask for the account to be closed, it doesn't happen automatically - a request gets sent to the developers and it takes a few days.

If no error message happened, your account will be closed within a few days from when you made the request.

Hello. My streamboss is stuck at zero health and can't be beaten by anyone. It shows 0 hp on stream and a huge hp amount when I check the overlays. Resetting the streamboss doesn't fix it, refreshing the overlays doesn't fix it. At first it started glitching by sometimes reverting to the previous boss at the start or the stream and it would have an incorrect hp value (like 3980/1500 hp), and a few days ago it stopped working completely. How to fix it?

So I am wondering something. If I have sounds uploaded and added as variants but nothing as the main audio. Do it pull sounds randomly from the variants? I am currently testing and I have no community/gifted alerts done and so on but when I do a custom alert test in let's say community/gifted it randomly plays a sound. If this is correct that would be awesome because making copies of copies for every tier or alert variants to play a random Halloween sound is hell lol

I don't know where to put this, but I set up SE Pay for my twitch account.
I put in all the info for the bank and it did the verification and enabled withdrawing of tips. I Attempted to do a withdraw and it said it would take a couple days to process and that was all fine and good.

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

I created one of the Tetris events game widgets, and when I put it into streamlabs it drops a few blocks immediately (without any events to queue it) and then it kinda just stays frozen (Ex. picture attached). I thought perhaps you could create a custom widget that is just an iFrame in the HTML portion. However, after some basic testing, it appears that SE lacks sufficient CORS policy to allow Cross Origin Resource Sharing as the value is apparently set to null, preventing said sharing to allow for an iFrame embed. (Which, having a limited or strict CORS policy, while inconvenient, is best practice.)

What's the use case? As in what does the Source Grouping in OBS fail to accomplish?

The use case is that I just want to make it as simple as possible for people within my organisation to stream with assets I have prepared as I can. The best way to do that would be to build literally all the assets in streamelements and have them only import Browser sources. It's not so much that OBS fails to accomplish this just that I wanted to simplify as much as possible for other people.

I can just have people import the sources directly into OBS instead, just one more step for them to take that I can't prepare for them.

on that stream, i had 13 gift subs, 25 gift subs, and 5 gift subs

i set it to 1 and when i emulate it out with custom gift subs, it works

this is how it shows when i emulate only 1 gift sub

i also thought there would be some delay happening, but it didn't show even until i ended my stream hours later

Ok, final cry for help before I give up entirely - I am having an issue with the Awesome Shoutouts widget/overlay. In default mode (freshly applied) it triggers fine, but as soon as any parameters are changed (Size, audio clip, text etc) the Overlay/widget does not trigger on the given command.

I have a nub question - how do I test if I hear alerts? I use edge for the testing and have edge muted, but the streamelements is using chrome. If I test an alert it gets shown on obs and in obs I got the browser source as audio handled via obs checked and the volume meter also shows me an input - but I can't hear it. I tried monitoring settings and mono settings. I do not get a sound from the alert in OBS which I can hear.

It works fine before any settings are changed. As soon as the box is resized, or text is changed from the default, the !so command does not trigger in either the test window, Streamlabs, or on the Overlay editor.

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hey, sorry to be a pain, I'm probably missing something obvious. When setting up custom chat bot commands is there a way to make the bot respond with additional messages.

I don't know if I explained that very well, but if you hit the character limit on a response for example, it would then continue to respond with a second message in chat.

so essentially the bot can't really reply to itself as it'll create a loop. in cases where I need like a single command to do 2 things (like redeem a sound + send a message in chat) i just put nightbot to work as well

so I create the same command on both bots with their own functions. our bot would do the redeeming and nightbot would output the text

You can set 1 variation for a singular gift sub and another for 2 or more.

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.
