In the same spot Hippie (Session Data - Goals), I'm pretty sure you can put in the number of followers you have under "Follower Goal Progress" instead of resetting.

Then just make sure you save changes.

2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name

4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button

2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Hi! I changed my twitch name awhile ago, and now I spotted I was earning loyalty points I have added myself to the blacklist. Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hi there! I'm having a few problems creating overlays.
When adding any widget eg: a simple image, I do not see an outline of the widget as usual.
When I save the overlay then try to edit it, it comes up with a blank page saying "Uh oh Overlay does not exist". This also happens when selecting and trying to edit overlays from the gallery.
This seems to be somehow related to my log-in via Twitch, as when i sign in to streamelements.com via YouTube I do not have these issues. Any suggestions?

I have now tried giving my YouTube log-in moderator status over the Twitch log-in with the ability to create overlays. It got the had problem as the Twitch log-in, although it does not when creating overlays for itself.
I have also tried to close my account to try to reconnect it but this too is broken, reporting internal server error. I am very frustrated.

Good evening, I just setup and test recorded my first stream without going online, very exciting, and I am streaming over my Xbox Series X with a capture card that is Hdmi only (no audio ports), and I typically use my Corsair HS60 PRO SURROUND Gaming Headset that is wired to my Xbox Series X Controller. When I tried my first recording the audio from the game was perfect and my xbox settings for audio is set to both headset and speakers, but just curious how to setup the audio connection through OBS to capture my voice. I have seen videos on using Xbox companion app, to needing multiple mics, to needing a voice splitter cord from the remote to the pc... just curious what the best setup would be. Hello, I just changed my Twitch password and now I can't add a custom bot anymore, everything works in OBS, but the bot is not updated, it just doesn't accept it, does anyone know why? I updated everything, both OBS and OBS.Live. I can't use my own channel as a bot either, it just doesn't work.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

6. Navigate to the Console tab

8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

!command add (commandname) (commandresponse) - allows you **to add **a new custom command
!command remove (commandname) - allows you to delete a custom command
!command edit (commandname) (commandresponse) - allows you to edit an existing custom command
!command show (commandname) - allows you to see the raw response of a command before variables are used
!command options (commandname) -(flag) - allows you to change settings for an existing custom command

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I’m not staff but I’ve had a similar issue with timers before. The way it was explained to me is that no matter what your interval is set to, you still need to have the minimum chat lines within 5 minutes. So if you have it set to 30 you’d need 30 lines in 5 minutes before the timer would fire, not just 30 lines

The minimum lines is always for the 5 minutes before the timer fires. So it will at most send at the interval you set, but also only if there have been the minimum number of lines in the 5 minutes before it sends. For a small chat, you’ll need to set the minimum lines pretty low and mainly rely on a longer interval if you don’t want it to get spammy

Maybe you are having issues with the connection to some twitch servers. I have a friend who solved it changing from Automatic to Rio de Janeiro (he tried Fortaleza and São Paulo before). Try to set the server manually on Obs Settings > Transmissão.

I'm not a programmer and this is asking A LOT of us

When I complete step 2 my computer says 'access denied' even though the text stays there. When I do step 4 I get another error message.

The reason all this is a problem is becuase of the Twitch Security issue where we reset our passwords. Now that my bot acount has a new password, I need to reset it as the bot account for SE. Simply ''adding custom bot" won't work because it already exists, and there is no "Delete Bot" button.

Firstly, yes, I realize this is a complicated procedure. It is normally quite rare for anyone to need this, only common today because of the Twitch data leak which made many people change their passwords. Unfortunately, this messes up our system a little bit and this procedure is needed.

We do not have a way to do it by default. There are 3rd party tools like RuTonyChat that can ignore specific users while displaying chat for the overlay.

and for the command itself, just add keywords you want to it, and set the command to not show in public pages [it's in the custom command settings]

mmm streamdeck's meant to trigger a command, i don't think there's a way to trigger an overlay

alternatives would be to either send a message via streamdeck when u press the button, and utilize keywords

or to set it up via OBS itself, maybe like a video source you can turn on and off with streamdeck

the SE extension on streamdeck doesn't have a way to redeem things from your store
so it's done by a command sent through streamdedck

actual video asset..when adding the video it works fine..and you can actually play the audio through the add feature...but as soon as the video is added nothing-- you can go to settings and ensure loop/audio is turned on but still nothing..yesterday this worked fine but today seems to no longer work- ive tried different browsers ensure other audio things are on (which they are)..and nothing seems to work

Hey there! The StreamElements bot timeout people regardless of the whitelist settings in the links. I have clips.twitch.tv and twitch.tv whitelisted, but the bot still automatically times them out.

@placid raptor i even tried adding a brand new video asset on a fresh overlay and experiencing the same issue..it doesnt matter what video is added. The audio refuses to play back anymore once its on the server

Hey guys , my custom bot name stopped working yesterday. It seems to be unable to reconnect after I changed my password. Everytime I authorize it just keeps the "connect custom bot account" button there instead of actually connecting it when I put the info in.

3. Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6. Navigate to the Console tab
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name
9. Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

Hey! Been trying to figure out how to make the streamelements giveaways work properly through twitch chat and having trouble, wondering if anybody might have encountered this before. The SE bot posts a confirmation message in chat that the giveaway has begun, but the !ticket # chat command in doesn't actually enter any users into the giveaway, and I haven't found any other command that triggers an entry (!enter # also doesn't work, and I don't have any duplicate commands by those titles).

As far as I know, you shouldn't have to. Once you update your stream key on your streaming platform you should be ready to go.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Staff has multiple things to work with, they can't always answer a question immediately. Are you using a custom named bot or the standard bot from the dashboard?

You might be changing the name of the layer, and not the text itself. Click on the text boxes, and on the left-hand side, go to the settings of the layer and change the text field there
