If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I'm currently using the StreamElements bot via a custom bot name. I found an old mIRC script that ties into a game I've been playing and I want to incorporate it and tried to do so via connecting to my stream chat via IRC but simply logging my bot into IRC seems to have broken !commands. Also in my attempts to fix it the bot began spamming the result of a single !command until I force quit OBS. Is there a way to do both or am I stuck with using just one or the other?

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Got a slight problem. Tips that are being sent through Paypal are not being received by the streamer in their paypal/tip list. It has worked before, but only once. Account ID: 5d79876f80a7683337c15b60

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

to add things like that, you want to go to your "Sources" panel and there's a plus and minus sign in the bottom left. Click the plus sign and there's a list that pops up. You'll wanna choose 'video capture device' for your camera and you can try 'window capture' for the gameplay, but it depends on the game sometimes

then you can select your camera in the video capture device and move it around in the preview pane

make sure your overlay is highest on the list so it goes on top of the video sources

I've been having issues with my tip goal for a few weeks. Wenn I activate a tip goal and someone tips a one-digit donation, it's fine and adds to the goal. But as soon as someone tips an amount €10 or higher, the whole goal resets to the last tipped amount.

So if someone tips €3, the amount is addes to the goal. If someone donates €20, the whole goal resets to €20.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? 🙈

you can edit the progress via the activity feed > widget data > goals @knotty remnant
then save settings and reload overlays

alternatively make sure to choose a date in the future [in the widget's settings]. not sure if related but I've seen funky behavior with that widget

hi z3Groove yes giveaways..So in nightbot when a user is drawn you can see what they type in twitch chat (you can immediately isolate to the winner directly in nightbot and see their messages following the selection)..this makes it extremely easy to see what they say rather than scrolling back through twitch chat or having to type /user

I tried reinstalling obs using the streamelements.live download, and didn't get the streamelements.obs.live icon on my desktop so I used OBS and the streamelements info is there, but nothing is working. If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Steps:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
3. Click on Enable Custom Font
4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

I was trying to set up a double-trigger for a command, namely:
I write 1 command in chat, and 2 responses trigger:

2. timeout a user

I am unable to do it atm. I tried lots of variations, but nothing worked. Streamelements bot can not trigger it's own commands, probably to avoid loops. and I couldnt get a /timeout command and a "write in chat" command in the same response. Any ideas?

Jebaited was created for streamers I worked with before I became staff. It is to provide scoped authorization for widgets without granting them full access for everything. For example when somehow your token is exposed to others, they won't be able to interact with SE out of provided scopes (so no access to tips, settings and so on).

Heyo, I've been struggling with getting transparent chat boxes working with OBS. Ideally I'd just have a transparent background and the text can stand out fine against the dark background my overlay has but I can't figure out a way to get transparency like that. Closest I've found is to force a single colour background and chroma key it but that looks awful

I'm trying to test my streamelements bot commands offline but nothing is working - do i need to be streaming in order to make sure i've set everything up properly?

I'm lucky that I don't rely on the commands for stream. But it sucks because I do use for people who raid out and some viewer interaction.

I literally use commands for so many imoirtant functions

to get ppl to sign up, check macthlist,m look at rules, look at how tio win prizes etc

@here Hello. I have problems with streamelements that4 no longer shows up in the list of users present in the chat of my channel. I tried from the dash to make him leave the channel and re-admit him, removed the moderator role and put him back. Nothing, it no longer returns to the channel resulting in the impossibility of launching commands in chat. Solutions?

most big streamers aren't boycotting. The vast majority boycotting are small streamers because they've been hate raided. The sub money issue just got tacked onto it
