If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Alright, could anyone help me with an alert question? I am trying to make an alert that is ONLY TRIGGERED for single resubs. I have one set to only trigger if "months subscribed" is at least 2. It works for that. But it also gets triggered when someone gifts 5 subs, and one of them is a resub. How can I prevent that?

This is not easy. You can specify months, so you can set a variation to a specific months, but you would need to create variations for EACH month in that case

Which is not recommended as you end up with tons of variations

Otherwise you should create a variation that starts with the 2nd month and continues - and make sure gifted subs and prime upgrades etc. have different alerts

This will work with resubs with 2 months or higher

Yes, convert them into GIFs. You can do that in Photoshop when you export, or just use any regular converter.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Good morning. Quick random questions. I'm simply uploading my own vid/sound for alerts and it's all working good - almost. Only issue is when I set the alert for Subscriber, it doesn't let me set it up for a gifted subs. It uses my new alert for a Sub, but then it uses the OBS default alert for gifted Subs.

Anyone have any ideas? I don't see a setting to change the default for gifted.?

The numbers of the goals are set on your Widget data.
Go to the Dashboard > Activity Feed > Widget data (on the right side of the screen). Then check the tab "Goals" and you can set the values you want.

On my main connection (wifi), the alert box just emit the sounds of all alerts. When i connect to my hotspot with my cellphone, everything works how it should be.

ive set up my song requests, and its now classed as media share, but i want that audio to be different from my desktop audio ... so i can separate that media shared audio from my desktop audio

How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

Hi. i am having an issue with host's. I do not get notification on my activity feed but i can get notified about followers and raids. is there a way to fix this?

Also. When S.E. does a shout out. it shouts out that they are playing games that i am CURRENTLY playing. is there a way to fix this? i havn't really touched any settings beyond default settings.

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Bot- Modules- Chat alert. I did misspoke. It wasn't an auto command. it was jsut something it will do automaticly.

Hey, I've been having this issue for a while now but now it's just annoying me to the point I don't know where else to ask, but for some reason I cannot use any Twitch global or channel emotes in KappaGen atm. I was able to within the last week or two, but I recently had a milestone stream and it just didn't work until I temporarily enabled BTTV emotes instead. Any advice on how to fix this?

Each overlay has its own URL otherwise you would not be able to load them as different sources on OBS

Are you sure you're not just using the same overlay after saving it?

I think that was the issue, after setting it to 1920x1080 it shows up. Although if I change it to the exact size of the alert box in the overlay editor it doesn't. Works though, so we'll take it

when you're adding a source you're not accounting for the size of a widget but the size of the entire overlay which is 1920*1080

So it worked fine on Friday, yesterday the alerts wheren't making sound so I thought OBS messed something up I tried resetting all sounds settings, didn't work. So I thought I just open the website (Overlay editor) to play the sounds from their instead of through OBS. Then I found out that the browser itself wasn't receiving any sounds from the website either. I tried it on a different PC with no results either. I tried uploading an other sound, that seems to be playing in the preview while picking it. But when I put it in the alert and test it only the text appear and it doesn't actually play the sound. It doesn't work for all kinds of alerts btw.
