For some reason, we need to click on the preview opened in the browser source everytime in order to listen to the sound. If a sound is played and we do not click on the browser source, we don't hear it, which means we lose a lot of sound alerts. Any idea why this happens?

@hazy carbon We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

When I stream I feel my quality is poor. It says 720 p. I want it to be higher and as far as I know you have to higher your bitrate for that. I currently have 2000 kbs and it looks a bit pixly (Streaming wow-classic). When I raise it to 6000 kbs it starts to skip frames, looks like the stream is sometimes Stuttering. (Got 150 Mbit speed up/down). Am I missing something here?

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

However, keep in mind that we cannot provide support for SLOBS and they will not be able to help you with our OBS.Live

@wanton pilot If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

OBS you'd have to uninstall and reinstall to properly fix it as it sometimes can have lingering stuff after uninstalling OBS.Live

I have 9 store items, each different pictures. I want the overlay to show whichever picture is redeemed on my stream. I setup the overlay, added store redemption alert, removed the default image, sound and text like the link you provided me with. Saved the overlay. Added the overlay URL to my streamlabs OBS via browser source. Redeeming an item shows nothing on the screen.

@sharp robin If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Back with another dumb question! I've seen in some youtubers' vods that were originally streamed/recorded on twitch that follower & sub popup alerts can also be recorded and appear in the vod. During my stream tonight, I got 2 new followers, and in the vod playback on twitch, I hear the audio alert play but the onscreen popup wasn't recorded. I confirmed that OBS sees the alert animation play out by emulating the event in the Edit Overlay window on streamelements and looking to see if it was playing in OBS while offline... so what setting do I need to check to have the visual alert also be recorded and displayed in the recorded video?

Actually I just noticed - it picks up my 'Follower Goal' bar, but not the "Latest Follower" which should be at top left corner (popup alerts should be near top in center). If you look here at timestamp 1:44, you'll see the follower goal bar, but no latest follower and when the DMX sample starts playing is when the follow happens, but there's no visual popup displayed (idk if it displayed on live stream at all), but when I emulate the event in SE's overlay editor, it does visibly play in OBS https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1012484798

Hi, someone dropped a massive 5k bits to secure their position as HypeBoss. By the end of the stream, the HypeBoss had reverted to the previous viewer (as if the 5k bits were never dropped).

I think it could be related to me having different scenes, each with their own instance of the HypeBoss, as opposed to having a single source for each (required as I have different colours in different scenes).

What do you think?

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hello, im having a slight issue with my Ground Control app, I got the JWT token put in, and twitch account linked, but on the bottom of the settings in Ground Control, it shows a "custom Bot Name" and a slider, and an oauth token area, i click the link under that taking me to an oauth password generator, which i type in to Ground Control. When i test the bot, i see my twitch name pop up in chat saying "Hello, is this thing on?" ...sounds like its working, right? Well, i want my twitch bot account and not my main streaming account to do that, and cant remember how i set that up properly.

i'm going to use lioranboard to have redemptions from the store to trigger scenes or hotkeys, i need the bot response message to exist in chat, but that only happens when someone redeems it directly in chat, but if i disable the other options it disappears from the store :c is there anyway i can either show everything in the store without the redeem button or make everything put a redemption response in the chat?

This is more about the StreamElements webpage rather than twitch specifically, but i duplicated an overlay to keep all my settings and changed the background to a new overlay i got, but the thumbnail in My Overlays hasnt updated. @sudden lintel If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

That depends on the setup. "Via tip" is only via the tipping page. Both etc. work with the command. !sr is the short name of the command

Please make sure that links are not blocked by Twitch or other bots, that the bot is modded and that viewer requests are enabled

The command is tied to the media request settings - if those are off, the command will not work

Hi! I hope you can help me. I'm moderator of twitch.tv/sujagg. I have setup StreamElements with a timer of 8 minutes for commercials (/commercial). But everytime I try to add a second timer for something else for 9-10 minutes each (like a simple text to remind people to follow his channel), the first timer for commercials gets bugged everytime the first and the second timer meet. It shows that it couldn't run a commercial as a text in the chat. After 8 minutes, it runs again normally, but the message is kinda awkward. Is there a fix to this?

elementsOkay is a sub emote from the StreamElements Twitch Channel. When using a custom bot name, those emotes won't work because your bot account is not a subscriber from our channel.

Hi. The streamelements bot has stopped responding to my chat. I use OBS.Live and have it using my account so I can have it echo commands in to chat when needed

@livid ice If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

404 page on chatstats happens often. Main cause is a namechange - was your channel renamed recently?

@nimble dune i deleted it re-added but still didnt work and tried a different source as base cam, that didnt work so did a full restart - now i can get the base cam working but for some reason the logitech capture app is not an option to use as a source anymore

That's a driver limitation. One ONE program at the time can use your webcam. So if OBS is using it, Logi Capture, Discord etc. cannot use it anymore.

When using your cam in multiple scenes, make sure to add it as an "existing" device. "Turned off" isn't really off, just hidden.
