@tacit needle Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

so i am moderator for a streamer, and i am currently setting up her a watchtime command. the thing is the watchtime refreshes just every 10 mins so everybody that uses the commands doesnt see specific times they see like having a watchtime of 10, 20, 30, ... mins

@static depot The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@ripe seal If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Quick question and sorry for not knowing which channel this applies to but, if I have over 100% in cumulative variation chance what happens? does it ignore the latest added variations or does it default the percent without updating the value? say i have 20 variations 5% each for subs and i add another 5 percenter does it not get used or will the rest go down in percent while still passively displaying 5% in the settings?

@weary basin Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

  1. The streaming software that you're using (OBS or Streamlabs OBS) is not the issue here.
  2. The Alertbox that you are using is not native to StreamElements, and is not present in your StreamElements overlay list

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings

  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

Happy Tuesday folks. I am still awaiting a response about my Activity Feed being completely blank. It was previously showing Donations only, but now doesn't show anything at all. Last I spoke to someone from SE, which was over 24 hours ago, they mentioned it was being escalated to the Developers to look in to, but I'm wondering the timeline on when this might be fixed? I've had the last few days off Streaming but i'm hoping this can be resolved before I go live again on Thursday so I can showcase some of the awesome SE Widgets to my community. Gone to authorise new bot in OBS Live by adding new bot account but is not adding. No name in drop down menu. It only says stream elements, channel owner and set custom bot name. Hi there! I've been attempting to troubleshoot on my own, but I'm coming up blank… Two of my subs have recently changed their usernames and now they do not have access to subscriber-only loyalty store item sound effects. These work for subs that have not changed their usernames, so it's an assumed issue with the username changes. I've already gone in and made the store items open for all users and then back to subscriber only, and that hasn't fixed it. Is this a known bug, or is there a fix? I've done some searching on this server and elsewhere and couldn't seem to find a solution that's fixed it.

whenever someone raids my stream, the alert that pops up is the host alert. i'm aware it's because when someone raids, they also host the stream, but i want the raid alert to show up as well. is there a way to go about this without disabling host alerts altogether?

but again, there's no technical way that a host will trigger a raid alert, there's no option to set it up like that
you'll need to test with some1 that can raid you and make sure they type in /raid mooncakey in their chat
assuming your raid alerts are fully set up it will trigger them
also, about alerts and hosts, a small FYI -

i looked through my alerts overlay and it looked like my raid alert's minimum amount was set to 0, while host alert's minimum was set to 1. could that have been what was causing the issue perhaps?

also just to clarify, so the raid alert wouldn't be triggered if they didn't type in the /raid command in chat? ik some folks choose channels to raid through the raid quick-action available through stream manager

so yeah that difference you just mentioned could have been the reason, assuming someone actually raided you before (rather than hosted)
and not only the /raid command, but in general, the raid action (or the host action), be it via a chat command or the quick action or the host button

so if someone chooses the raid quick action, the widget gets a raid event and the raid alert is triggered
same for host, if the host event comes in - the host alert will be triggered

@hollow ether You would need to gift the Bot a subscription if I am not mistaken. Then the Bot should be able to use your emotes in it's commands.

Two months ago I put my alerts in stream elements in a separate overlay so that I can use this as a source for OBS Live on PC and console streams. Today I noticed that there are no alerts at all...
The emulation works. But not the preview in the browser. Can someone help me?

Hey, Could I get some support (preferably in voice chat) on the Streamelements bot? The bot just stops working after 3-5 days.

I imported my overlays from streamlabs to streamelements, but the css gets messed up. if I disable the css the image and text loads fine but in the wrong place. when I enable css it just leaves me with a small black text.

Hi, I'm using SE.pay for donations, but when users use my se pay link https://streamelements.com/{TWITCHNAME}/tipthey get sent to paypal and see my personal info. Their transaction also don't show up in SE.pay on the streamelements.com backend.

p.s. I do have my twitch name in the link. I put {TWITCHNAME} so that it doesn't look like I'm spamming my tip link here.

The tips that you received via Paypal will go directly to your Paypal acount, tips that you received via SE.Pay will go to your SE.Pay account

Gotta say to have it say it hides your personal info, but then the first thing it has you set up is your PayPal account which causes it to share that same personal info isn't an ideal workflow.

At the end of the day it's my responsibility as the end user, but SE.pays main selling point is that it hides your info. Then during set up the first thing it asks for is PayPal connection with no notification that this takes away that functionality. I should have maybe asked first, but something to consider.

Hello so for the past 2 weeks or so ive been having this issue with me not being able to see my followers in the mini feed i see raids and things like that but every follow i dont see unless if its from the alertbox on the screen for a split second i noticed if i go to twitch.com to stream manager and i look at the activity feed i see them but i dont want to have an extra pop out of it if i dont have to.
