@ivory kettle How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:
(Please follow one of the steps for your set up)

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

  1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
  2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
  3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/364869138809618432/815892834841264138/unknown.png
  4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

  1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
  2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
  3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
  4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

Hi, when I try to use the chatstats command on twitch, it gives a '404 - page not found' error. From looking online it looks like this happens when you change your twitch username. I may have years ago but cannot remember what the old one could have been. Current name shortshorts24. Thanks

Does anyone know how to fix this issue with Ground Control? I even tried re-formatting my OS but I still get this issue. Sometimes I can click the "Connect with Twitch" button but sometimes I can't. I use stream elements OBS and lately in OBS my connection is green with zero dropped frames but, on twitch stream manager it randomly pops up unstable and ends. Then when I click “stop streaming” it won’t end and I have to force close it and restart my stream. It works fine usually then but I don’t understand the issue...

@vague heron If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hey so when i try stream through OBS it shows how the stream should look like, all moving and perfect, but when trying to look at it on twitch its completely frozen on a frame. It also keeps switching from paused to unpaused and its not working at all. I've tried looking at the stream on my laptop, tablet and phone but they are all just frozen. Anyone know how to fix?

  • Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

I've been using Scorpbot for the longest time, (Since Mixer started,) but since it's been dead for a while and they've quit updating it, I need to switch. WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@primal orchid Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.

Yeah, my channel, reset all of loyalty (All points/watchtime). I helped a friend way back to import data from StreamLabs and tested the import on my account (that I thought I would never stream on) and now all the info is her's, not from my streams. 100% my fault.

Umm, they vary honestly. I can check real quick for an average. All the stuff I have, are 95% from my own local files I'd say but I only very recently started using Stream Elements for like.. one or two things.
