I'm having an issue where in 2 hours i dropped a little over 22 thousand frames. When i was playing my ping was low speed test tells me my upload is like 22 but on stream elements my kb/s kept dropping from 4k to like 1k or lower

I guess this is where I come to say that I changed my account name on Twitch and things are broken? In my research I've been finding people that have had the option to log out and back in but that hasn't fixed it. Others have said to kick the bot and re-invite the bot, but I haven't found where to reinvite the bot? Anyway. Old username, "NoirBrand", new username "TheNameBrand_"

In the future... I will probably change it back to NoirBrand because I thought I could live with the underscore. But it's been pissin' me off lol. Gah.

@high apex Account Merging - Please note:

  • Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

Hey, so my host alerts don't work at all. Nothing on my overlay and no alert in chat.
I've tried looking around on the internet for answers for awhile, and I've gotten no success.
I keep seeing the same message from the Support bot saying:
*"Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

  • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
  • Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline* etc.
    This makes no sense to me since when I see host alerts form StreamLabs, it works just fine and you can see it, but I don't want to switch everything over to StreamLabs though.
    This has been bothering me for awhile, and it hurts to see that people who host go unnoticed, so I eventually found my way here, hoping for some help other than your repeated bot message.

3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties."

@strong kernel It's mostly for information display (not for the stream). There's a vertical monitor that divides several panels on a single page, somewhat like this.

Because of display issues with the streamed game, tabbed windows do not work and resize/shuffle around during the stream and the only way to avoid that was with a fullscreen browser window. Having iFrames makes it very customizable. StreamLabs recently removed iframe capabilities and broke the setup for us.

Sub goal widgets pull their progress from the same place. You can't have one for session and one for total as once you change the progress, both are changed.

I added a Total Subscriber label and flipped the switch to "Enable Custom Font" and typed "Passion One" for the font. The canvas on StreamElemenmts shows the correct font, but the wrong font shows up in OBS...am I missing something? Yes, I did hit save too, lol, multiple times.

I am using VBI's Talon II alerts and I changed the sound for all of the Alerts, but for some reason the Bits alert sound won't change...Anyone got any ideas?

Either check the variation or ask their support. We usually are not able to troubleshoot custom built alerts from VBI

Hey. I understand there are tons of guides out there on that matter but Im struggling with redeeming sound commands. I have setup the sound perks, went into overlays, add widget, store redemptions, back to streamlabs with new source > browser source and added the link from the overlay. Anyone that tries a command does play a sound on my end but does not go to the stream. Any ideas?

@dawn ginkgo We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hi there, I have a strange issue.
I just recently moved over from SL to Streamelements and I couldn't be happier. Pretty much all of my stuff moved and nobody is any the wiser (except me and I am much happier!) Upon moving over I ended up copying most of my stuff and it all works fine. The only issue I'm having with is Raids.
When I TEST raids I get it working perfect, it says Jimmy raided with 27 viewers or whatever.
When I actually get a raid (or if I even replay a raid) it says the person raided with {count}. Not sure what I've done wrong. All of my alert's custom css comes from Nerd Or Die so I did just copy + paste it into streamelements and that worked for everything but raids. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Otherwise all my raiders are vampires from now on lol.

It is supposed to use the 4 emotes that I have on my channel. All of the other alerts do the right thing, but the cheer alert is still exploding random global emotes instead of my channel emotes...not sure

Its way too chaotic for me

If the variation condition is set to "Month subscribed" + "At least" and then "6" - anyone who is 6 months resub or 9 months or 20 months, will play the variation of the 6 month resub.

Been trying to use my name as my custom bot name and it no longer woriks, usually there is an option with a lowercase version of my name and it is no longer there, i've tried reauthorizing the name

@slim dock If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@bleak beacon If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@river zephyr Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

That being said, we do provide offers to people and try to contact them via the most easiest way possible, where we start to look at discord -> twitter dms -> your own server and if these fail resolve to a possible email, unless you've explicitely placed an email for business enquiries, which some people do.

If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.

If you so want to delete the facebook account to 'reset' it, do note that in deleting that account, the twitch account will also be deleted, meaning you will loose all past data and overlays on the twitch account.

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@woeful bear 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

  • Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

Hi guys i have a question, how can I change the payouts percentages of slots? I tried to put the percentage at 100 but I keep losing, I don't want to make always win but at least about 25/30% of the time and in the same way if there is the possibility of 20/25% to recover the points (therefore winning 100 ) and don't always miss .. @sleek bay If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Yes exactly, thats my big problem 😢 SE wont let me change the message for default commands, and at the same time does not provide me the variables and infos to recreate a default command by hand. I dont know what to do know, i dont want to wait for another 3 years before anything "maybe" changes.

@cedar forge Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Hi everyone, new to the disco, At the risk of sounding redundant, have quick query about making overlays for a buddy. I have been making my own overlays on your platform for about 5months and a friend has requested my help on his. I would like to create something for him from scratch using the tools provided in streamelements with the generic widgets, however are unsure on how to export it so i can give it to him to use with his own twitch linked html. I read something about him providing me mod access to his streamelements, is there any other way i can provide him with the overlay?
