It keeps happening people post a high number of different emotes and this times 2000 or something like this. it messes up the video quality and causes spikes in CPU usage which causes audio problems

@tranquil coyote If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

That would be an OBS issue with the sound, make sure the source is active and if you have a separate sound channel for it that it is not muted.

It seems my alarts are not triggering when someone is hosting follows or anything and i wish to ask has there been a problem with the api with twitch at all? I use OBS.Live and testing them seems to work but it really just stops there i use a pack from nerd or die as my alarts its the glitch 2 pack. Also yes this is kinda a funny when my alarts are glitching out XDD

@lament blade Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

But at the same time i don't want that the videofeed is completely invisible beacuse of the number of emotes and additionally that the DJ software starts lagging

the !kappagen command doesn't trigger an bot answer, it just shows the kappagen. I'll have to check if it is possible with a script or something, that a custom command triggers a bot answer which triggers the kappagen, and in the script the number must be set to a maximum

eg. user writes !Kappa 🙂 10000... and the bot answers in the chat !Kappagen 🙂 250 and this causes the visuals

but for the moment I don't think it is possible to implement "conditions" to a bot answer

There is no limit applied for that command; which is why it is defaulted to 'mod +'

@gusty night Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

There is a bug with setting the stream title in OBS and the dev team is investigating.
In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings) or with the Twitch dashboard: https://dashboard.twitch.tv/stream-manager

Not sure where this should go, since it's more just a general SE stupid question. I've got a new alert that's essentially a graphic moving right to left across the screen for 15 seconds or so (fades in on right, out on left edge). I'd like the alert text to track on top of the graphic across the whole way across the screen. I've been playing with slide in and out annimations but the text scroll isn't consistent (it wants to stop at one point, instead of just scrolling the length of the screen). Is something like that even possible? Or would I be looking at a custom widget/ something outside the built in alertbox?

@mortal dove Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

@shy obsidian If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

starting today media share audio has been doubled on stream. it is playing double through OBS itself, not through the broswer or my stream in another tab. Refreshing the cache plays one audio track before the browser source comes back online and it's back to two. Have restarted OBS issue continues

@quartz arch If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Streamelements bot is unresponsive, It sucesfully joins my stream but does not reply on commands, nor auto-post updates on channel alerts, and those kind of things.

Already did multiple times the leave channel-singout-singin-rejoin channel dance , and, in the best scenario, the bot works for a few minutes, and then ignores the channel again.

Could anyone please bring me some light?

(Please follow one of the steps for your set up)

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
Tick the box for Control audio via OBS https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/712428275049431120/716618713998033047/unknown.png
Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

Iam not sure how and where i shall ask this question but... I have created some commands to ease the daily life of a moderator, that means created shorter commandnames for changing currently streamed game. Like this
@${user} changed the game to "${setgame "Ring of Elysium"}"!
However i have started to see some wierd stuff happening.
The game changes on the Website, but when i use the ${game} Variable it displays a totaly diffrent game, and the same thing happens even if i use the original !setgame command.
if i do the same thing, with another bot like Nightbot or Streamlabs, the ${game} variable updates directly with the correct game.
I figured it was somehow a caching issue, but even after waiting aproximatly 15 minutes the ${game} variable is still showing the old game. when streamelements is used to change the game that is, however as said above the website updates to correct game.
Anyone have anyidea on why this is happening?

@zinc valve Twitch Channel points are not currently available to StreamElements via Twitch's API. Loyalty points can be redeemed via chat, the StreamElements Extension, or via your loyalty store page. I know Channel Points API access has been requested, but until access is given to StreamElements they can't be displayed on the overlay.

I had a kind of complicated question. So I mainly use streamelements to stream on Twitch. But yesterday I needed a sort of microphone filter that cancels out background noise and I couldn't find one in Streamelements, so I used Streamlabs to live stream and used streamelements for media share. Since I can't get streamlabs media share to work. But the media share had an echo. Does someone know why?

@cedar hill If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@flat cave If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello dearest Streamelements Team,

I am a mod on quiet a few Twitch channels and I always try to improove the commands and support them in the best way I can.

Now I've got a problem: 2 Streamers asked me to do a syncdrop command where they only type sth. like !sync in chat and a 5 second countdown in chat appeares like:

Press Battle in 5 seconds...
4...
3...
2...
1...
GO!!

I've seen this in the chat in SwedishLadyC's stream so I know it is quiet possible. Unfortunately she couldn't help me there bc an other person helps her with the commands...

I already searched the great Internets for help and also contacted your helpdesk on the browser site but they refered to this discord.

I would be really greatful if you guys can help me out there

Hello. Some of my subs aren't appearing on the scrolling list of subs. There are bot prime subs and non prime tier 1 subs that are not showing up. I've set it up to show monthly subscribers. Why are they not showing up?

Hello there! So I have a stream elements widget on my twitch panel that's a leaderboard. It tracks top chatters, subs, cheers, and channel points. For some reason it's only showing the top chatters and channel points. Is there something I'm missing? I've had multtiple subs and gifted subs and cheers since it was installed and they still won't show.

So there is the option "Send confirmation when redeeming via chat" for stream store items. If I uncheck this, there is no conformation. But there are still error messages like "item is not available for you" oder "item is on cooldown". I really would like to mute the whole chat output there. I guess there is no way to do that?

Hi there,
I'm using Streamlabs obs to stream and Streamelements via the online interface for the fun stuff. I also use a program called RADR to send the tracks I'm playing via Traktor to a Twitter account.
I now want to take that twitter account and bring it back into my Twitch feed.
I've given the correct permissions to Streamelements, turned on the Twitter Module, I've added a template, a twitter account to retrieve, but it's not posting any twitter comments into my chat window.
I'm sure it's just a configuration thing, but am I missing something? Do I need to do anything inside SLOBS to get it to work?

@broken bronze If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@placid raptor my ground control doesn't play songs if I don't show the video on stream. It's almost as if there was an unnamed video stuck in queue, which won't play. If i were to click any other song in the queue it just skips them. media requests work on the web, and also if I show on stream, but I've been using ground control without showing, and now I can't. this is what I see:

the button is unclickable, and it won't start any video in the queue, but skip them and this "video" won't change.

also the slider is completely disfunctional, if I decide to show on stream, the video plays but the slider's blank, so I can't skip into the video for example. there was 1 other user who contacted me with this same problem

he also added that if he showed the video on stream, it didn't play automatically for him.

Hi there. In the store, I have an redeemable video that's 42 seconds long, however the default max in the overlay section only allows 20 second long alerts to play, before it fades out the video (while the audio is still playing the remaining 12 seconds.) Is it possible to make the entire video of 42 seconds play using streamelements overlay function?

@hasty mulch 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Hey, could someone help me mess with my settings to make sure my stream is more stable, i've tried a lot of options and the streem mostly seems fine but on average every 7 second i have dropped frames for around 5 seconds. I tried streaming on Milan server and on France server. I live in the middle east, i have 5 mb/s upload, ~200 upload. I have an AMD rx 570 gpu and an amd ryzen 5 3600 cpu. At the moment, I'm trying to stream at 720p 30fps with 1300 kbps. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

@restive oasis Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

hy, so I try to maybe transfer my overlay to streamelements and had to to trough some hoops to get things working as I'm using fixed bounding box sizes to fit fonts in there perfectly.

I saw the widget that is available on github but meh wasn't much better at all. So right now I kinda got everything to look nice but there still some quirks like:

Even if Label Widgets have no data at all if there is a divider like a comma or something in there it will show.

I'm used to Streamlabels using session data which is easy ti just wipe and have it fresh for a new stream if you have recent followers etc. I get that you can just wipe the widget data everytime but maybe there is some better way to do this.

Are you thinking about adding a better bounding box feature that really scales strings in it correctly and at all times? I tried the dynamic font size feature but it was lackluster.

Just some nitpicks that I try to remedy somehow IF possible too se if instant label changes are worth it.

@crimson hornet There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Adding and upvoting ideas also helps the staff know which ideas should be prioritized so please take some time to upvote.

I need help please. MOST of my subs aren't appearing on the scrolling list of subs. There are both prime subs and non prime tier 1 subs that are not showing up. I've set it up to show monthly subscribers. Why are they not showing up? How do I make them show up? Nothing I do in sessiondata makes them appear.
