I have set up an alerts widget for Twitch, it works in tests but no "real" alerts come through to OBS Studio. I havent tried in a "live" stream though, Idk if that makes a difference.

@brazen plank Twitch prime (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. Now click the widget in the overlay and then the settings from the left. Make sure you have those options enabled.

There is a couple things to note though with alerts

Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

And we don't track people that refollow. Sometimes it'll bug for users and allow them to trigger it repeatedly.

If you are referring to reverb you will need 3rd party software or a mix amp

Clownfish voice changer would let you bind a key to toggle reverb on and off easily if you don’t have an XLR mic/mix amp

🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Users can choose to make the channels that they subscribe to public or private. By default, all settings are set to private.

Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page, and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

Hello, I am trying to get a loyalty reward to be submitted with a message for TTS. When I do a test item redemption, the gif is played and the text is showed and said, but it doesnt appear in OBS, just the Overlay editor. When I redeem it actually from chat, it plays the sound, and shows the "Person redeemed TTS" chat and gif, but no actual TTS. None of that shows up in the actual OBS Aplication or stream

yes, just to be clear the tts works at this point, its just not redeemable through the extension and sometimes it works but no popup asking for what you want said occurs. When you use the website like you said it does work and ask for a thing to be said

Okay peeps, so I've got an issue of my own. I added a custom font into CSS code of a special-made overlay by someone on Friday, and it worked just fine, though it has stopped working today, despite having not touched the code AT ALL.
I tried re-installing the font into windows, changing the font to something else, then changing it back in the CSS code, and it still won't work
What I've since realize, is that the font isn't working ANYWHERE on my PC, despite windows saying it's installed in both settings and the windows fonts folder
All my other custom-installed fonts work on my PC, but don't work on StreamElements
I'm a bit stuck and was wondering if anyone would have a solution

I don't even know if this is possible, but a channel that I mod for is wanting to set up a donation goal. They stream from ps4 and don't have a pc at all so they don't have overlays or anything. Is there a way to track total donations via the chat bot? so if we were to type a command such as !goal we could get a message like "thanks to donation we have reach $20/$100 goal"? It would be great to be able to track it this way, I used the counter recently to track and added the values manually and just did !editcounter every time there was another donation but that was for a single stream event whereas this new one will be long term and there may not always be a mod around to make that edit... also it's just not a very intuitive way to track that

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

So, I've set up my stream store with audio commands and when they're utilized in chat, it adds "elementsokay" to the end after the redeem command is shown. I have it set up so that you can type !'somecommand' and it will automatically redeem it for you and play the sound. I also couldn't get it to say anything else, despite having it set to say other stuff.

🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@sly narwhal Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

I'm having problems switching between platforms. I used to stream to Twitch but decided to give Mixer a go. I don't like Mixer and so want to switch back to Twitch. No matter what I do Live always tries to log into my Mixer account when I hit the Start Streaming button. I've set everything to Twitch, updated the key, and re-connected OBS to Twitch but I still get the Mixer log in everytime I launch. How do I kill that so I can stream on Twitch again?

I am in the process of getting rid of my old bots and making everything streamlined but I was still using nightbot for my quote list because I could use the quote list command and pull up the full list. @visual frigate Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card and a PC with OBS in order to have Overlays over your console gameplay.

hi guys i am trying to stream from my xbox to OBS studio and the window capture and game play capture are very temprimental out of 100 tries maybe one or two times it will find the window that i want. i was wondering if there is a simple fix as it is really effecting my streams now. are there any settings i need to use? please help...

In your Overlay Editor, in the top right corner is session data. Find the goals section, and reset that goal so it shows 0.

I will go Session Data>Goals>Reset Goals before every stream so my goals listings are at 0 each time.

Ok. So GTA sometimes takes a moment to catch with the window capture. What I did when I streamed it was have to click in the game and give it about 10 seconds before it would recognize it.

If that does not work, also try a display capture instead. Sometimes you'll have to alternate by the way that GTA is set up (GTA side communication issues, unfortunately)

@quartz geyser That would likely have to be a hotkey outside of OBS.Live. If you have a Stream Deck, those can do it pretty quickly. Otherwise, keybind the button from your stream manager to something on your keyboard to be just as quick.

It will have to be outside of OBS.Live. There is not a function built in to clip directly from the software. You'll have to use an outside hotkey binding or a Stream Deck to do that.

so i am not using a capture card i am using an app called xbox console companion (basically you stream your xbox to your pc or laptop. it is nothing to do with the app its to do with obs it wont seem to pick up any windows

I have a problem with my overlay links, when I use them they are redirected to the main page of streamlabs and not to my overlay, but when a friend shares their links with me, his do not redirect and load the overlay well, only my links redirect and i dont know why

Try this after the stream:

1. Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut -> properties - in the "Target" field add this -> --remote-debugging-port=40404
2. Open OBS(or restart if it was open)
3. Open your browser and type in "localhost:40404"
4. Click on "StreamElements - Activity feed"
5. navigate to the Console tab
6. type in the console this: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration() and hit enter
7. Try setting the custom bot name
8. remove the added addition of step 1

I did start out using streamlabs but have since switched to streamelements so that is probably what the problem is. I don't want to display the wrong top cheer on my stream however, so is there a way to fix this?

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

If it's in high action moments that sounds more like a hardware issue to where your computer cannot encode those moments fast enough. Have you tried lowering the game settings to see if that can remedy the strain on your system?

@arctic pike yeah that is likely your problem right there. If the GPU is already pushing that much, the high action moments are definitely pushing it more, leading to encryption issues from the CPU because it just can't pick it all up.

@arctic pike it's hard to say realistically. You can try the risk, but there are risks. Overall, it might be best to drop settings or reduce the strain on the GPU somehow (hardware upgrade, shared load, etc.)
