hello everybody, i've got a question about the name of the twitch chat bot, is there any way I can change the name to something else or use a second account for it? It looks kinda "bad" to have streamelements as name for it :/

• StreamElements bot modded and in chat
• Active overlay with alerts
• StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Hello there, having a little trouble with my media requests. Whenever either I or a viewer adds one to the queue, it immediately tries to move to the next song (from my backup playlist) and then skips it before it plays, thus returning me to the backup. Any ideas on a fix?

It's not recommended using GC for media request, as it was never updated after media request was rebuilt, you should disable it in GC and use the media request page from the site for now

If you'd like to have an overlay as well, you will have to get a capture card, hook your console to it and then hook the capture card to the PC.

In the PC, get OBS Studio and then you can add the captured video and overlay to it.

Hi All, got a bit of a strange one, when I add my SE overlay into my stream, my processor use goes through the roof +75% or more , when i turn it invisible the processor use goes down to 20%, any ideas

Are you using an pre-set animated overlay from the themes gallery? If yes, unfortunately, it is know that those use a bit more CPU, due to the fact that most things in them are video files and they take some CPU power to load and animate/loop.

Afaik Kappagen and to some extent HypeCup are also a bit heavy on the CPU

@spare knoll Hey, if its the same emote as your sub emotes, you will have to gift the bot a subscription in order to enable it to use your emotes in the first place.

Afterwards, you can setup a custom command for it for example !myEmote with response the emote name example: PogChamp.

To make it trigger only when people use for example PogChamp, add the emote name in the "keywords" field in the advanced part of the custom command.

@limpid spire I think you can't have 2 instances of GC control 2 different renames on 1 PC, as both GC apps will take stored information from 1 location which is in %appdata%.

Even if you change JWT token and oAUTH token as well in once instance, there will be a conflict factor in the app that had the original and will stop working because of missmatch

Hey I've been using stream elements for my song requests on my Twitch stream and it works great but the only problem I've been having is the player gets buggy when I pause a song. Ive been opening songs in separate youtube tabs as opposed to playing them from the built in player due to those bugs, it would be so awesome if there was a "pause" "play" "previous" and "FF" button on the player to make this easier. Also I have to manually refresh the page because not all songs show up after moving them around. Any plans to fix this?

So, I would like to switch everything over to Stream elements and no longer use Streamlabs, but streamelements seems a little more complex than Streamlabs. So i use features from Stream Elements on streamlabs. I don't know if it might because of that, but I'm using a browser source from you guys on stream labs, but when I switch to that scene it takes about 3 seconds before it appears, so in the meantime of that it's just a black screen until it all loads. Do you know how to fix it ?

If you're seeing things taking a little bit of time to load, we recommend using Studio Mode. That'll let you preload the scene before switching to it.

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Is there a possibility to set up a custom command with following?: When I use a person to mark, then the command fills in the merked person (me using: !test @split glacierofperson -> @split glacierofperson This is the test message) but when I or any viewer just types in !test -> @viewername This is the test message or in the other case @myname This is the test message?
I know that there are the possibilities ${1} and ${user} but i can't find any combination or some sort of ${touser}.

I have been having troubles with StreamElements not detecting my subscribers. Twitch and StreamLabs all detected the new subscriber but StreamElements Panel has not detected the new subscriber It's been well over 48 hours now and nothing has changed. It had no problem with the regular subscribers who used Twitch but this subscriber used Amazon Prime. Their Bit Cheer was picked up no problem with StreamElements as well.

For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. @late heron well if you did nothing, then you didnt set up the variations there are there by default. so for the 100Bits variation you need to enable the TTS itself of course
