Hi, I don't know where to leave this, and I don't know who it's for. Hopefully it'll find it's way to the right person. But for the love of all that is holy adjust the font/color/size of the users who follow/sub etc

When looking at it at a glance, I can't read WHO followed, or WHO subscribed, it's a horrible contrast.

The colored indicator (which is a nice addition) takes the immediate attention and if there's user entered text next to it, that drowns out the name even more.

the name should be front and center, lightly colored and a proper contrast opposed to the other elements. this looks nice, but is completely unusable if you're streaming, lots is happening and you just want to see what name to thank

also, reverting back doesnt revert back... So I'm stuck on this :<

if I need to leave this feedback somewhere else please let me know

Yes, there is a way, if you are using the Top tippers list [Add new > labels > Tips > Total & All-time], in it's setting you'll see that under offset you'll see Select period, this one has the options of "All time", "Monthly", "Weekly", and "Session", these are the only 4 options in there at the current moment. to have the "Monthly" and "All time" ones together you'll just have to make 2 of the Top tippers list overlay widget, and set to different "Periods".

if you're using a video would recommend saving it without the loop and then saving it with the loop on right after, if this doesn't help I would recommend to see if it does it on another "test" overlay as sometimes it can just be a case of the tab not wanting to load it properly

this is my first time going to live support for help so i dunno if this is the right channel,
but essentially, my issue is that i'm not hearing stream notifs (follows, subs, raids, etc) when streaming
they're audible to the audience, they're on the VOD, but I don't hear them.
I can hear the sound when I emulate an event via the browser or within OBS, but don't when I'm live and it actually happens.

I'm controlling StreamLabs audio through OBS,
I've made sure to set Audio Monitoring on Advanced Audio Properties to "Monitor and Output"
And have my computer settings set to output OBS audio to my headphones

Hard to say. Do you use social media (Twitter, etc) to promote your channel? Is your title and notification text "catchy" so that viewers want to come to your stream? You can add, remove and make changes to custom commands in chat with !command/!cmd flags:

!command remove (commandname) - allows you to delete a custom command

!command show (commandname) - allows you to see the raw response of a command before variables are used

i’ve gone through settings on SE, Channel points are active, and followers should get a certain amount every 10 min they watch. Feels like should be in the thousands by now?

I was just wondering if anyone had advice for the chat overlay I'm working on.

The goal is to make it pixel perfect. By that I mean I have a font that consists of big pixels - it's actually only 6 pixels in height and I intend to use it at a 10-1 ratio (my stream is all based on the same 10x10 pixel grid). But I'm not sure if it's possible to get a font to display that way, as CSS pixel values don't seem to match up with what I'm seeing on the browser source output, no matter what I try. I'm using a locally installed font with the custom chat overlay from the SE Github.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi! I've been having an issue with my OBS for a while now where it freezes completely and then crashes. When I look back at the log the only thing I can see that would cause something like that is a bunch of error messages regarding my chat browser source via StreamElements. The error messages aren't always the same but they refer to something that "violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "connect-src 'none'"." I don't know what this means or how to fix it, and it hasn't always been like this either.

My current version of OBS is 28.1.2 and I've also remade the chat browser source but it's still giving me this error message. Thanks for any help on the matter!

I have no clue if I'm doing something wrong or the recent gifted sub overlay in streamelements is showing incorrect information? (which it is)

I added a "recent gifted sub" as an overlay within streamelements to my obs. But whenever someone gifts a sub it doesn't show accurate information. For example, when someone gifts 5 subs (not specific, anymore than 1 gifted sub) it will show up as "name gifted 1 sub" and whenever someone gifts a sub to a singular person and they have been previously subbed for 20 months it shows up as "name gifted 20 subs" when they only gifted 1?

I have no idea why this is happening and would appreciate any form of help because I can't find anything on faqs/reddit youtube about this issue unless I've missed it.

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Also, you will have just one alert going off even having 10 variations for the same value. Just change the variation from “exact” to “at least”.

It seems the alert is not correctly configured with the variables. So instead of sending the amount of gifts, it is sending the amount of months the user have subbed to the channel (or a tier, or any other wrong information).
Can you show how your alert variation is configured for gifted subs?

Hmm, now I got it. You are using the Label > Subscriber > Latest > Latest subscription gift, right? I thought you were referring to alerts.

Yeah, the {amount} in that one means the amount of months the user is subscribed. There is no option for how many subgifts the user gave. All the information in that is related to the subscriber, not the gifter (except the {sender} value).

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I tried on my computer on a different twitch account and I was able to get this custom bot account to work, but on my streamers computer she is getting this error when trying to follow those instructions you posted and is still not able to get the custom bot working. I would set it to 2 since it's a resub message...you can't have a resub alert when it's your first one. This way, your top message is for the first month, then every month after it would use the message for 2mths or greater. Then at 12mth resub, your last message will be used.

Well, not sure what you are exactly wanting, but the "Months" field is for the exact month amount (or greater). So if you are wanting special yearly messages, you'd need to do one for every year completed (i.e. 12, 24, 48, 72, etc).

Ex.
If a user subs for their 14th month and no message is set for that specifically, it will use the message for the message for the previous amount as the chat alert (in your screenshot above, it would use the message for 12)

yes that's what I thought, so after every yearly anniversary, I need to repaste a general resub chat alert after it, so it doesn't reuse the anniversary alert.

Ex: after 12 month, I need to make a 13th and paste the 2nd month message.

yeah, I believe that would then work how you expect it. Maybe just give yourself some leadway by doing a a year or two ahead of what people have already reached and you should be good to go!

You still have the original settings for it to address and then the variations handle things beyond the original. So, I'd check the settings of the Cheer alert before clicking on variations and see if that might be the cause.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Hello, my SE chat mod is not working at all today. I have tried to Part Channel and re-add my channel, I have /unmod and /mod Streamelements, but my chat bot is not working and none of my commands are working. Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Hello, I disabled many Default commands, and today everything is gone, I can't see anyone and in my User management nothing appears. ¿Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, seems not all accounts are affected, tested with other user's command lists and they still have their commands.

no but i did just test that a minute ago, the custom name made the bot not work at all switching it back helped

1. Right-click your OBS desktop shortcut (not the SE.Live shortcut) and navigate to Properties
2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

4. Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404 (try 127.0.0.1:40404 if you see issues - https://streamelements.is-serious.business/3EGPQFJ.jpg)
5. Click on StreamElements - Activity feed - https://streamelements.is-serious.business/2kJYt2b.jpg
6. Click on >> in top right above the code and select Console - https://imgur.com/a/Xh6zc6A
7. Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8. Try setting the custom bot name, make sure you follow these steps: https://support.streamelements.com/en/articles/53-creating-a-custom-bot-name-with-se-live
9. Remove the flag added in step 2 from your shortcut properties

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

i currently have the overlay disabled in obs cause im not using my camera, so i setup a different alert under the (Alerts & Widgets) section

and it was working fine earlier today then randomly it just stopped sending the alerts when i was testing new sounds and such

Since this is a new tool that's still in beta, you may have found a bug lol. I'm going to pass this to the devs to look a bit deeper (or if @median rover is awake and sees this lol)
