The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Idk if this is a streamelements thing or not but I’m new to streaming, and starting a podcast. We aren’t doing video at first so I was wanting to put like some kind of art or something that represents us, then have it light up around it when that person actually talks, or something like that. Im asking the third time now without getting an answer we would really appreciate if we could get some help... we are having some issues with the Loyalty System. We activated it and changed the points people should be getting for watching but it just doesnt work. Some people get points but only for following but never for watching. The watchtime does not get tracked as well. What could be the problem here? (Streamelements is a mod on the channel) ... We have a second channel with EXACTLY the same settings and its working over there @viscid pebble @crude pecan

Edit: We also cant use the commands in chat even they are turned on

Edit2: I saw that the bot was not connected on the dashboard now the commands are working but watchtime and loyalty still wont

Hello. The Activity Feed in the OBS plugin has stopped updating. Has to be refreshed manually to see the latest events. Has been like this for a couple of days now. Super frustrating as I have to alt-tab out of the game to see who cheered etc or try to catch it in the chat log.

Hello. I have a question about sub gift alerts. Currently I set "Subscriber gift" and "Community gift" (Condition='At least' Require amount=1) in subscriber alert variation settings. Now I expect only one '{sender} gifted {name} a subscription!' shows up when I receive for example 5 community subs gift, but what I actually get is 5 alerts for each subs showing up repeatedly. Is this because "Subscriber gift" has higher priority than "Community gift"? How can I fix this problem? Thank you in advance for your support.

The first will be for singular one person gifts while the community gift will get at least 2 or more and ignore the other one.

Hello, I wanted to start stream on my twitch channel (last livestream was on YouTube) and now when I hit "Start Streaming" I get popup titled "Start Streaming to YouTube" that is blank and never gets loaded. Tried switching back to YT profile, it let me manage broadcast and seems fine. But twitch doesn't work on any of my 2 twitch channels now. Also tried reboot, reconnecting twitch channel, reloading and relogging SElive docks... nothing seems to work

If you are attempting to stream to one streaming platform, but SE.Live is attempting to stream to another, please try the following:

Navigate to StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login

After you have logged back in navigate to File > Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Reconnect

I received a twitch prime the other day that I didn't get an alert for, it didn't appear in my activity feed, and I have a "last sub" overlay layer that wasn't updated. I'm a pretty small streamer so I don't get subs that often, but I've gotten twitch primes before and they usually update everywhere I've mentioned. Don't really know where else to ask about this. Anyone know why?

Ok maybe im just having a brain fart but , no matter what i do , my chat bot will not use a custom name. I have a separate Twitch account with the name i want, and it IS connected and DOES show in the location where it did say "custom bot name" in the set up, all bot responses are still showing StreamElements. weather from a test message or from outside requests/responses

Hey, I'm hoping this is a good spot to post suggestions.
I think it would be cool for alerts to have "Maximum" amounts, instead of just minimum amounts.
This would allow for alerts to have "brackets" or groups where you could make personalized alerts for, say, 2-9 viewers joining a raid, and having their own messages that don't show up in raids where, let's say 10-25 people raid, and raids with 10-25 people would have more of their own personalized messages that won't show up in raids above 25, nor below 10.

Does this seem dumb?

Hello, When trying to view my chatstats it brings me to a 404 error. After doing some research it seems as though the resolution would be to look up my old username however to my knowledge I have never had another username on twitch.

The bot reposts everything one minute later. Commands and timers. Probably has something to do with the maintenance from earlier. Have quit and rejoined the bot already, but that didn't fix it.

I'm modding for a streamer and there's an extreme delay on the commands, both when first entered and the duplicate response, which is even further delayed.

Hello together, I have also some issues with my chatbot.
1.) I cannot rename my chatbot (neither my account nor another). I can choose it in OBS, but it doesn't has any effect at all
2.) An automatic chat response do not respect user cool down: I have an automatic welcome info, which is triggered by keywords like hello, but it replys to the same user over and over again, even if I the user lock for 5000 seconds. This is bad, because it always responds to my mod when she is giving new viewers a warm welcome

Yesterday on stream Streamelements posted an automatic message when someone hit their 9 month sub saying congratulations for a Twitch Baby.

I am not seeing this ANYWHERE in the documentation, but I definitely do NOT want this message automatically posted, it's triggering and for me and some people in my community and was a VERY unwelcomed surprise.

Where do I find this, and how can I disable it from happening again?

This username does not exist on Twitch, I tried with 2 'n' and I believe it is the channel. There is a command called !command (singular) that should be !commands (plural).
And there is a command called !commandedit that should be called !command

And rename the !commandedit to !command

You can create an alias later for !command in advanced settings

Usually the basic steps:
Logout/login from Streamelements: https://streamelements.com/logout
From SE dashboard, remove the bot, wait some seconds and add it again
Unban the bot running /unban streamelements

That works on 90% of time. Other 10% are bugs related to name change or duplicated register (where it would need staff intervention to solve)

Hi so im working an a client project and need to loop video clips (webm) manual. The idle animation is looped manually until an alert happens.

The queue will wait for the idle animation to end, then play the alert clips. When that's done it'll play the idle animation or another alert.

It all works fine but randomly the video clip will stutter a couple frames it seems, ruining the smooth animations.

The non idle clips are hidden by setting the opacity to 0, I also tried using the "hidden" attribute but that makes the cut even worse.

The steps are sequential so:

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Try to press ALT + Space and then M. This will enable you to move the window using your keyboard. Rember to unlock the docs otherwise you cannot move it (menu Docks > uncheck Lock Docs)
You can move the window with arrow keys, and then you will have acess to X button

Other than that, you can go to menu Docks and uncheck "Chat" or if it is a custom one, menu Docks > Custom Browser Docks and delete it from there

Basically, you can create two widgets. One for the fixed text and the other for the username.
or... You can use HTML tags, but I think it depends on which widget you are using.

I tried to add this on Latest follower widget and did not work:

If subs and bits are not appearing, there are two possible issues.
You got affiliated on Twitch recently. If so, you need to logout/login to refresh your token
You are not connected to Streamelements using your Twtich account. If that's the case, logout from SE and make sure you are selecting Twitch when login again. Then go to your overlays and check if you can see the last sub.

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

i have deleted, remade the entire alerts overlay with a single alertbox widdget. i have that set to 1080p, so is my stream. i copy the URL, input to a browser source on OBS... i test and emulate this with fake followers and bit donations and I can see it working on OBS. i have audio controlled via OBS and i can hear and see the redmeptions i create. however. the moment i go live none of it works... it still works when i emulate but not when an actual viewer follows or donated bits

So i have a weird situation going on, I have alerts set up and they work 99% of the time but they do not work for specific people. For instance earlier this mnth someone cheered and the alert went off but today the same person cheered the same amount and the alert did not go off. Top line is configured by me and it is in desired language, however bottom line is in english and I don't know what is source. This would be the message from the gifter. However, sub gifters are not able to send messages on Twitch when sending the gifts, so SE uses the default message from Twitch. So you can just uncheck the option "Show subscriber messages" in the gifted sub variation or maybe change the Twitch language to your own language and it will send the default message in local language (but I'm not sure about the latter)

Question, when is the giveaway option going to be fixed? People managed to scam tickets last night and screw up the whole giveaway...
Example; person has 3 hours watchtime, yet 300 tickets.. tickets cost 100 per.
50 pts for following
50 pts per 10 minutes
18 x 3 = 900
900 + 50 = 950
So nowhere near the 300 tickets even possible 🙂

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).
