which connection do you mean here? streamer I mod for had no BTTV emotes coming up in the kappagen 'chat emotes' today, and BTTV emotes were also not showing in an SE chat overlay (neither via OBS or SE overlay editor)...they worked in both places just a few days ago. I saw the same thing on my (non-streamer) dev copies of those overlays; no changes on my end between when they last worked and now

Hello, my alert issues were slightly better. It seemed as though the issue of them not appearing in the activity feed, and thus not appearing in my stream as an alert, happened a lot less frequently, but it nonetheless, still occurred. This was especially the case for raids. It did not matter the size of the raids. It notably did not give an alert (in the activity feed, which I then had to refresh until it appeared, and manually trigger it) for both a <10 raid and a >40 raid.

I started a giveaway today and when my viewers entered !ticket, or !enter, or even !giveaway nothing worked. No confirmation and their names didn't show up in the giveaway. I did have "send confirmation when buying tickets via chat" on.

There are a couple things wrong here.

1. I see that you have a timer for !battleroyal. This makes the bot send "!battleroyal" in the chat, however, the bot can not respond to itself. Someone else would need to do the !battleroyal command in chat.

2. there is no !battleroyal command. That is why you're getting the error in your chat.

I have contacted the help desk and they were helpful to a point. Ask me to screenshot people and try to dox all their email info but now I just want to know where to send the couple completed events and be done with it.

I just wanna toss this into the pile. The BTTV isn't connected to Kappagen issue is affecting my friend right now.

We're totally stumped.

BTTV just completely desynced from Kappagen and never came back and I think the Halloween update or BTTV messing with their emote infrastructure may have caused something. This isn't isolated and I've found more people talking about it over the weekend on Reddit. Haven't seen any fixes though.

He reached out to support, but they told him to refresh the stream element's chat bot's emotes for bttv... Which doesn't do anything for Overlays and Kappagen, as those work totally independently of the bot being in chat, so I'm not sure why they were even told to do that.

Twitch subs, FFZ, and 7tv still work. It's just BTTV for some reason.

I've been troubleshooting for a while now, but I just havent been able to either login or signup with any account through the website with any Browser. If I use it on Opera and want to connect my twitch it leads me to an error message. Doing the same on either firefox or chrome at least loads the site properly, but even after logging in and verifying my information the login itself on the website for some reason did not register. TLDR: it doesnt log me into my account after logging in / signing up into my account through twitch, so im basically stuck in an endless circle of login processes.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I took the opportunity to do a Genshin sponsorship offer. The chatbot was set to do a timer, and I had a command to do manually as well. The timer did not go off. Could this be because the standard settings that StreamElements had set were to have it go off every x minutes, but also with 5 lines of text in chat? So, if those checking on the sponsorships see that the bot did not post, it is not my fault that it did not.

I have changed this timer to be every 15 minutes with 0 lines of text in chat to be on the safe side. That will happen next time I play.

So I have a question, I had my isp come yesterday, finally hitting the speeds that my plan provides, anyways that’s besides the point. When streaming, whenever I use the encoder to use my gpu for streaming, my bitrate falls, I lose frames and it says in the logs there’s a bandwidth/connection issue for such and such # of frames..

Yesterday I streamed for 6 hours with the same settings using x264 and there was absolutely no dropped frames or anything, it actually ran without a hitch — is there a reason for this

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

When I update a custom chat command using !command edit <> <>, it only shows the last command even though the StreamElements dashboard is updated correctly. Hello, I'm having an issue with alert audio and OBS. When I test my alerts, I can hear and see them just fine. But, as soon as I go live and start streaming, my alerts will appear but not have any audio. I cannot hear them in my headset nor on stream. In OBS, the audio for my alerts are set to "monitor and output."

Currently having an issue with my StreamElements ChatBot (custom username) spamming my offline chat every 18secs w/ the output from my !discord command
I'd been live for all of 6mins when my Internet connection went down for about 30 mins... While offline, one viewer entered the !discord command. When the Internet connection came back at ~11pm CT, that's when the spam started.

Tried going to Dashboard web page and clicking 'Part Channel'... and the alt account is still spamming
Same after clicking 'Join Channel' again and then clicking 'Mute'
Also tried timing-out the custom bot account for 1sec -- still spamming
Tried connecting to my channel as the custom bot in another browser window, then closing said browser window... Still spamming; no browser windows are open and logged into the custom bot account, but I could again if need be
I've even tried changing back to the standard bot name (StreamElements) in the SE.Live plugin's dashboard... Ok... Gonna quit OBS and re-open it... OK! That stopped it... Now, to see if it starts up again when I start up OBS again...

Any idea how to stop it so I can go live again?

Hi all, im hoping this is an easy one to solve and maybe i just missed something. When Link Protection deletes a link and times out the user for 1 second, and displays the custom message to the chat user who posted the link, the chat user has to refresh the stream to be able to type in the chat box again. Is this expected or after the timeout time counts down, should the chat user be able to again chat without refreshing the page?

Hello, following up with my alert issue again. I still have a ton of issues with the stream elements activity feed not registering my alerts. I had to refresh the activity feed constantly and manually play alerts to get even half of my alerts to play during my last stream. I can provide clips of me dealing with this and the chat bots showing them if necessary. This has been occurring ever since I recently made the switch from Streamlabs to obs/SE a month or two ago. Would really appreciate help with this. It is effecting my money as a full time creator, and I do not want to have to go back to Streamlabs. Adding a ping to @candid oak. Sorry if that’s not appropriate, it’s just been weeks and I’m getting desperate to get this fixed. I already had a subathon with alerts not working properly and it was a mess to deal with live. Have many more large events coming soon that this will be problematic for.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.

hopefully someone here can help but i use NDI as a source for my two stream pc setup but my issue is when i stream from my second pc i get weird popping static noises that my viewer's can here but when i stream on my main pc which of course would be my single pc setup to stream i dont hear the static so what could be the issue i tried some fixes but none of them worked. the static started happening with the new obs update and they also updated NDI to work with new obs update as well.

Hi. Can anyone point me to a detailed tutorial on how to create my own bot for the streams please? I have a second twitch account, but can't seem to find anywhere to add the custom bot on my main streaming twitch account. tia

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hiho, I have a problem with !songrequest. I just turn it on and get info "The !songrequest command only works when the undefined module is enabled.
Enable both?" I click "enable" and "save" to save the turn on the command and... switch again to turn off. I turn on all modules and nothing help + in "media request" I have "viewer request"

But I still cant turn on the command !songrequest 😦

Any ideas?

Hi, I was hoping to get a bit of help with follower data not being pulled from Twitch into SE. Subscribers, bits, donos all work fine, but new followers never show up in my dashboard or in my overlays! Not sure if I broke something or what 😅
