yeah the only way to get an overlay is to do it via twitch's extensions that puts a permanent overlay on your stream

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Hi, I have a sensitivity issue with the StreamElements bot activity announcement on Twitch, although I suspect it might be elsewhere. The bot repeatedly used the POG emote (the crocodile open mouth) and such that I have in my actual ban list on Twitch. Is there a way for me to change what emotes the bot uses on my channel to make activity announcements? This is getting to be hurtful and irritating. Ideally I would appreciate being contacted by a staff representative.

When I set Text Over Image, the attached is what I get. However if I select Column then the text for the alert appears, but obviously its below the animation/video. See attached screenshots. Text not showing up over your alerts? Go to the Advanced Text Settings and set the top margin to 50, you can work your way to the right position from there.

I have two issues if anybody can help please. The first one is that the audio does play when an item is redeemed from the stream store. I have the stream store items alert on the same overlay as my cheer alert and the cheer alert sound and picture works just fine. So not sure why the store redemption alert doesnt make sound but it shows the GIFs.

Second question. is there an easy way to combine alert overlays? When I first made my overlays I didn't know exactly what I was doing so I have several overlays for different things. One for new follower alerts, one for new subscriber alerts, one for cheers and item redemption alerts... I'm not sure if it uses more CPU or causes any issues but I'd like to combine them all into one without having to manually redo them since it took me so long. Thank you!

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If you're hearing something from the alert box twice - it normally means you either have multiple overlays in OBS without 'shutdown source when not visible' ticked (including overlays in different scenes) or you have multiple alert boxes which are set to do the same thing.

Don't use the game ready drivers their garbage. use the studio drivers. I've been using in video cards for years and the studio drivers are always better unless you are playing the specific game the game ready drivers is for. Uninstall all the Nvidia software on your machine then Manually download just the driver which is an option it's a little executable file that just updates the driver without all the extra Nvidia garbage. You can then reinstall the rest of the invidious software if you would like

Most chat widgets have the option to ignore some users, but you can always enable it. If you are using the default chat widget from SE, you just need to remove Streamelements from ignore list

I tried yesterday but did not get a response. I hope this is the proper place to reach out. I am having an issue where my viewers can not hear my stream store perks alerts when they redeem them. They are on the same overlay as my cheer alert which they can hear so I am at a loss.

Also, when I created my overlays I did each alert on a separate overlay and have them as a browser source through OBS Studio. So my follower alerts as one overlay/browser, my subscriber alerts as one overlay/browser, and my cheer alerts and stream store alerts as one overlay. is there an easy way to combine them into one overlay without having to manually recreate each of them? and does having multiple overlays cause any known issues?

Took some time off streaming and now that I'm back my custom bot name seems to be broken. So far I've tried the following:
• Using the third option, signing in, authorizing
• Having the bot part and re-join my channel
• Reinstalled OBS (even though I just updated it to 28.0.1) and S.E. Live plugin

Tested to make sure, and the bot works under the standard StreamElements username

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Text not showing up over your alerts? Go to the Advanced Text Settings and set the top margin to 50, you can work your way to the right position from there.

I figured out the issue I didn't need to use a completely new program I just needed to change the resolution like the width and height from the browser source to my base (canvas) resolution

2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3. Stop your stream/recording.
4. Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

I noticed theres a script section under tools, is there a simple script that can be added to it that would: see a custom reward redemption on twitch -> add a loyalty point amount to streamelements loyalty system -> mark the custom reward complete? all the information is available right in the activity feed already and since its through streamelements already login verified for both.
