I don't know if this is something that specifically needs to be addressed here or through a support ticket but there are a couple of streamers that I watch who have their alerts setup through StreamElements but they're not triggering for some reason. Is there an outage or service interruption that hasn't been announced yet?

Hi so I'm trying to have my chat up on screen while I'm streaming followed all the steps but for some odd reason any time I copy the URL from SE to paste into obs all I get is a box with the SE homepage. I've tried logging out and back in restarting obs closing the my browser restarting my pc I've made sure the URL is right I've tried turning on BSHA on obs and nothing has worked anything I've search up about it just gives me a fix for text not showing up. If anyone has had this issue or if someone can help it would be much appreciated.

I have an overlay with an alertbox. I have configured everything correctly. No actual alerts will work if they are triggered by an actual person (a real follow, tip, gift, etc) but emulating it works fine. I am indeed using the streamelements tipping page directly from the dashboard and the payments do show in my activity feed and revenue history. Any idea why this isn't working? Does streamelements still work?

I've already updated all the caches, and when I do, it calculates correctly, but then when someone makes a donation, sends bits, or even the sum of the goals, it doesn't go through!

So every time someone sends something, I have to manually update the cache, which complicates things a bit. 🙁

I hope they investigate this problem and resolve it, because it's really annoying. In today's live stream, people were renewing their subscriptions and sending bits, but it wasn't notified and wasn't showing up in the goals.

It sounds like a frustrating disconnect between your dashboard and the actual live feed. Since YouTube handles events differently than Twitch, try these specific fixes to re-establish the link:

  1. Hard-Refresh the Connection
    If the accounts are linked but not "talking," a clean reset of the permissions usually fixes it:
    Revoke Access: Go to your Google Account Connections and remove StreamElements from the list of apps with access.
    Reconnect: Return to the StreamElements Dashboard and log in again using your YouTube account to force a fresh authorization.
  2. Set Your Stream to "Public"
    YouTube's API is notoriously strict about privacy settings.
    The Issue: The StreamElements bot and widgets often cannot "see" or join Unlisted or Private streams.
    The Fix: Ensure your stream is set to Public in the YouTube Live Dashboard before you start.
  3. Add the Bot as a Moderator
    If your chatbot isn't appearing or commands aren't working, it likely lacks permissions.
    Copy the bot's URL (usually https://www.youtube.com/@StreamElements) from the StreamElements Chatbot settings.
    Go to your YouTube Studio Settings > Community > Automated Filters.
    Paste the URL into the Moderators section and save.
  4. Clear Browser Data
    Residual cookies can cause the "Activity Feed" or "Overlays" to freeze or fail to connect.
    Clear your browser's cache and cookies for streamelements.com.
    If you use SE.Live in OBS, try logging out of the plugin via the StreamElements menu at the top and logging back in.
  5. Check for Scheduled Stream Conflicts
    If you have a scheduled stream waiting, StreamElements might be trying to connect to that "event" rather than your current one.
    Delete or finish any old scheduled broadcasts in the YouTube Live Control Room.
    Are you seeing an error code in OBS (like Error 500) or is the chatbot simply not showing up in your live chat?

Greetings, I really like StreamElements, but I don't know where to post this. I used to use the Aitum Vertical plugin to send a dual video signal, both vertical and horizontal, for TikTok Studio, and at the same time, I could use the OBS Multi-Stream plugin to stream to multiple platforms. When I discovered StreamElements for multi-streaming, I liked it even more because it had several extra features that I already used from StreamElements. However, now it doesn't let me use the dual function I used with Aitum Vertical to have both the horizontal and vertical views from OBS. For creators like me who don't have access to stream to TikTok directly from OBS, it would be very helpful if this function could also be added to StreamElements. I saw that you recently added the multi-canvas feature, but please also add a virtual camera option to the multi-canvas so we can send that canvas to TikTok. The dual function would simply involve combining the two canvases (horizontal and vertical) into a single resolution and adding the elements from each canvas individually, but with the option to link them together.

Hey, I'm having issues with my StreamElements chat not showing on OBS. When I put the Browser Source using the correct URL the box shows up however no chats come in even though it shows on the StreamElements browser.

For context the first one is the StreamElements preview and the second one is what I see on OBS.

You probably don't have the overlay as a proper size to fit without cutting it off.

I've tired restarting my computer and allowing all permissions through twitch. I have also modded Streamelements in my chat. I did download ground control and that updated with my current follower count. I just cant get the website to update. Any suggestions?

hello! my wife and I share a computer for streaming at the moment after her's died, and somehow her account became linked to my Multi-streaming broadcast settings. I tried going live about an hour ago and it also went live on her account despite not being logged into it or anything. I've tried logging out, and logging back in, I've tried reinstalling SE LIVE. Anyone know why my game capture works for the horizontal stream but my vertical capture does not capture the game at the same time? If I switch between the 2 the the other 1 captures the game and opposite goes black screen. Super weird: Edit I added an existing capture to the vert stream of my game and it works for some reason now. Hope this helps someone else

Hey guys i was in the OBS support but they say that SE.Live is the cause. SO my problem is this:

I have some alerts, videos, webms thats triggering with sound effects. I have them on Monitor and Output so i know the cues also.

Monitor and Output mute the Sound for the Stream. (but i can hear them)
If Monitoring is off. Anyone in the stream can hear the Sound but not me.

So right now (maybe it's because of the new OBS version?)
My only solution is to use monitoring off ... but then missing some cues. Thats bad 🙁

I also checked the advanced audio settings for monitoring and settings are fine. I think it's a bug. Someone else posted that exact problem here

Hello, I am having this issue. A few days ago I got logged out of twitch on everything. I logged back in and have streamed since. My stream elements features show notifications from 3 days ago, alters aren't working, and my ground control is stuck in the past as well. I've reconnected every way I know how, uninstalled and reinstalled ground control, reconnected on twitch, all of that. I have no other solution....

Everyone will tell you it's TikTok's fault. What i can tell you is to go find a good guide from another platform that at least made a guide on how to open a ticket to tiktok about it. it won't solve the problem but at least you can try something instead watching everyone blame everyonelse

Hello fellow creators and staff. I have a question regarding YouTube Alerts

When ever I'm gifted memberships, StreamElements sends 1 alert for each gifted membership, (let's say, 5 alerts in a row).
I would love to know if, instead of this, there is any way to set a single alert that says "User gifted 5 Memberships", instead of receiving 5 individual ones.

Yeah for twitch. The alerts suddenly stopped the other day. Whenever I try to run a test nothing appears on streamelements and nothing appears in the session data and nothing appears in the SE activity feed when testing. New followers and such do appear in the SE activity feed like one from yesterday but it doesn't play or anything

I try to login to SE.Live's Connect your channel portal and if I try either Twitch or X, it just goes to a blank screen. Been trying to fix it for the last couple hours :/

As a temporary work around, I was going to just use stream keys and multistream to both twitch and X, knowing I wouldnt have the multistream chat, but when I try to go on the StreamElements dropdown, to the SE.Live docks popout, it's blank or isnt rendering anything... idek what to do at this point

Hi, can anyone help me with this problem? I have the plugin installed for multistreaming with OBS, but every time I open OBS it asks me to log in, and when I log in it just keeps loading. It doesn't log in with any of my accounts. When it finally redirects me to my browser, the page stays black and unresponsive. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm trying to upload an image to use for an overlay. The image in question is under 30MB, significantly, and is named very simply. I've tried multiple browsers, private windows, cleared cache and all history, and restarted everything and the issue seems to persist. I've tried multiple images of varying approved sizes and formats and no matter what image i try to use, i always get "Failed while uploading file" every time.

This is my first time trying to do this kind of thing and I'm very new, but i tried my best to double check to make sure im not doing anything silly.

For context, on MacOS 26.2 Apple Silicon M4. attempted in firefox, duckduckgo, and safari.

Dude, i give you an honest advice, SE will say it's TikTok fault, TikTok will say to open a ticket to SE. Want things work? Install vertical canvas, use virtual camera to TikTok Live studio and if you use SE for other platforms (twitch,yt ...) keep using it even if you get error of incompatibility with the vertical canvas ( i'm doing it and it works ). The only thing that doesn't work for me is the recording while streaming.
Sincerely, you have to find yourself a workaround cause even if someone could have a direct contact with TikTok, they don't really care at all.
That happened before with other issues and it will be with others too.

Hi. I am using SE.Live for the first time and I'm having trouble with YouTube. I have 2 entries for the exact same YouTube channel in outputs and when I finished streaming, I ended up with 3 exact stream VODs. Is there a way to permanently remove one of these? My Chatbot Settings page is truncated and only shows the 'Mute Bot' toggle. The Custom Bot Name section and Ignored Users section are missing entirely. I can force one to stay on if I set it as primary. One of them doesn't bug out the stream, while the other one does. No clue as to why.

Hi everyone, I have two mainly problem. First is some users can't claim store items because SE telling them they claiming too fast or they have not enough points to claim. Now is 1 year after this problem still existing to the same users on my streams and they cant still claim anything from store. Second problem is every emote from 7tv which shows on my overlay is frozen, even it's a gif it's frozen on one frame.

I may have found a workaround. As long as one is disabled, and the other is your primary platform, you should be able to avoid duplicate streams.

I just did some testing earlier. If you have issues with the top one, set the bottom one as primary.

That may be because your YouTube account is associated with your StreamElements account. I'm only inferring that because TikTok doesn't seem to have a permanent spot here and I can delete it very easily through the program.

ok, i have a twitch chat from Streamelements, but when i try to set up my youtube chat, it won't let me sign in to chat, which means i can't send messages through the chat into my youtube side of the stream. Hey, I'm the one who owns the website. I created it simply to make it easier for people to share overlays with others.
I can say that I don't store any info other than the ones needed, even because my database is small. Also, I don't use any type of tracking or anything like that (I hate those things by the way).
The only info needed is the one to share and install the overlays. The user who's installing the overlay has their data removed as soon as the overlay is installed.

I have noticed recently that my sub alerts seem to...come and go. I have changed nothing with my overlays/alert box. They seem to work for a while...then stop playing when people sub.

Anyone else noticing that?

I'll repost my support request, in case anyone else has encountered the never-ending OBS Live update and the broken media widget.

it seems the issue is specifically related to synchronization with my StreamElements profile.

  1. Infinite system update loop
    I install the latest OBS 32 from the official website, then install the latest OBS Live. Everything shows as up to date.
    As soon as I log into StreamElements through my Twitch account — without importing any old settings — I immediately get stuck in an infinite update loop. It asks me to install a hotfix for API 31, then throws an error, closes the application, and prompts me to reinstall again and again. If I decline, the StreamElements plugin disables itself entirely.
    I tested this on three different systems. The update loop always starts right after logging into my account via Twitch. The windows also appear in the same layout I used previously, which means some kind of synchronization is happening — and that synchronization seems to contain the error.

  2. Unable to verify identity in the Media Request widget
    None of the music tracks requested by viewers work because YouTube requires verification that I’m not a robot inside the StreamElements music widget.
    I tried changing my country in the settings, but the videos remain blocked.
    The widget is non‑interactive, so I cannot click it to complete verification. I also cannot remove country restrictions entirely.
    However, everything works normally on both the YouTube website and the StreamElements website.
    Since the widget is non‑interactive, it’s simply impossible to log in there. As a result, all videos become blocked for me, completely breaking the media request feature.

Hello, im trying to set up the SE.live vertical dock and it seems to be entirely broken.
Scenes cannot be renamed, cant copy paste sources into them, one random scene always gets renamed back to scene 1 when i restart obs and loses its link and most interactions take multiple seconds to even register.

Hey, when using the streamelements overlay for subs, the TTS says something like "_ gifted a sub, this is their second time gifting subscriptions to the channel"
I can't find what causes the TTS to announce that additional info I wrote in bold, and emulating alerts doesnt cause it to happen either

I can see I’m not the only one having issues with stream elements

My issue is my main account is YouTube and I have Twitter as a secondary account

When I sign in with my YouTube now, it shows Twitter being primary and won’t connect to YouTube at all unless I add another source
The other source is not the original broadcast that gets start so now I have to start with two broadcast and I can’t connect to Twitter at all now

Is anybody having answers from these people or are we screwed

Hello, I am having an issue with some emotes not showing on chat extension. I've updated them via command but the issue persists and I am not sure whats the problem or how to fix this. I found a way around the tiktok problem. So since it's having issues at the moment with se live what I been doing his adding restream as another destination and streaming to tiktok that way with the plugin. But it's been working fine for me. Just until the actual tiktok in se live gets resolved that's how I'm gonna be doing it now 🙂

Hello, it seems that I have a problem with se.live with connecting my twitch channel. When I try to connect my Twitch it redirects me to the page where I have to authorize the application, once I did that I get to a blank page and nothing happens anymore. Does anybody know a solution?

anyone had this issue? I usually multi-stream, but I'm eliminating issues so I've only got twitch bandwidth test enabled:

Recommendations are set, auto servers, max bitrate at 6k, and should be limited based on the recommendations (checking the box doesn't change this either.

When i hit live, inspector claims I'm punmping out 14,000 kbps. streams disconnect every 10 seconds (likely due to twitch hitting the brakes).

It's done this before, and then started working fine a few days later. then it's happened again.
I'm only streaming to twitch. I might delete all my other stream types and start from scratch.

Hi there! Iv been having a 404 message pop up on my OBS where my tiktok live chat is also it says User is ineligible for live streaming in the multistream bit

  • Iv signed out/back in in my account
  • Deleted & redownloaded OBS
  • No issues/bans on tiktok side (Even downloaded tiktok live to be sure)
  • I can still go live but cant see chat
  • Also resetted my docks too

Also when i copy my link address of my tiktok chat in a browser it somehow works?

So guys i want to uninstall my SE.Live but when i use obs-streamelements-uninstaller.exe . The uninstaller just close after a few seconds of loading. How am i able to uninstall it Fully without the uninstaller?

Since Friday (3 streams) multiple gift subs come through as single gift sub alerts. Sometimes it also plays the multi-gift alert, but not always. We're using Elements for the alerts and didn't change anything. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I can't find the answer.

I want to start streaming on YouTube and Twitch simultaneously, but my channels are showing up twice.

I only have one Twitch channel and one YouTube channel linked, but in the dock, I see two Twitch channels and two YouTube channels.

Is this normal? Do I have to have both open at the same time? Or is it enough to activate one of each? And how do I delete the others so there aren't any duplicates? My OCD is killing me, and I can't use it. The anxiety of not knowing why there are two channels is driving me crazy.

@sturdy echo @void zephyr The first option comes from OBS settings. You'll have to change/remove it there.

There's always two YouTube outputs, one for horizontal and one for vertical. You can disable one if you don't want it.

It seems that several of us are in the same situation. According to some people, tickets have been open for over 2 weeks. StreamElements made an announcement some time ago saying that on their side they couldn’t do anything regarding the access request. On top of that, there are the 404 bugs with the TikTok dock chat, for which I haven’t found any answers. Apparently, there’s no solution for now and no news from StreamElements. Also, I tried reinstalling TikTok Live Studio, and now to get access to the virtual camera you need to have streamed 3 lives on TikTok Live Studio. So it’s impossible to recover the game/camera in duplicate, it’s a nightmare…

Hi there, I am trying to Connect my Twitch Channel to my OBS through Stream Elements. When I click "Connect with Twitch" it opens a new Chrome tab, loads for a bit saying "logging you in" and then the tab goes blank and I don't get logged in and there is no other way for me to connect my Twitch to my SE Live on OBS. How do I fix this? I connected my Twitch account to OBS just fine with logging in normally, but Stream Elements won't let me do that. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

I just downloaded SE Live Multistreaming, and mine only has YouTube chat and TikTok chat. It's very confusing having two different chat tabs open. is there a way to make multi chat visible so that YouTube chat and TikTok chat can be combined?

has anyone had the issue where their youtube streams don't connect? I multi-stream to Twitch (main), YT and TT. Lately, my YT stream doesn't connect and SOMETIMES it'll work if I log out of SE.Live in OBS AND from streamelements (youtube dashboard), but this doesn't work all the time. I never had to do this before, so I'd love to know WHY this is happening and what I can do to stop it from happening. It's extremely frustrating since I'm starting to build a small community on YT. Thank you!

hey guys - i'm trying to change my streamelements bot name, but i dont have the option on the dashboard, do you still have to complete a campaign in order to do this? or do i need to create a ticket?

You can choose a custom name for the streamelements bot by logging into the option on this page. https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/settings

If the option to login is not visible while logged into your Twitch account please make a ticket so staff can fix it for you (!ticket custom bot name).

bec when i invite someone, or get invited, i get redirected to a userprofile called "invite's Profile".. cathuh with a 404 Channel moved error..
but not to the invite i originally clicked..
i think its a SE side problem not on my end since we tested it both ways with 2 ppl :c (i could also be wrong ofc Yin_RedHeart)

SE no longer counts my subs per session reliably, it jumps back and forth between numbers. In addition, the dashboard shows that I have over 15K subs this month, which is not even close to being accurate. I also cannot click on the statistics in the dashboard. However it displays the previous months correctly and I can interact with it.

Hey. We wanted to show the Channel Subs in an overlay but Total subscribers just say 0 instead of 49. (With a !subs command it works)

So i had a power outage and then SE.Live will not log in. Keep getting a Auth flow timed out in obs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. And i can still log into twitch directly through OBS. But not stream elements. Through the website i can still log into SE.Live but it is not letting me log in with it through OBS

Guys I was wondering since I have both alerts from twitch and alert s from stream elements, my alert from stream elements has two different sounds one that I can control and one very loud that I cannot control. How do I make the alert from stream elements not have the loud automatic sound that is built in? Is there somebody that can actually show me screenshots of how it's done so I can try it?

Dear Stream Elements, I have had issues every time I want to start multistreaming to Twitch and YouTube, where at first it looks like everything is ok, and suddenly my chat tells me video is dead, and they're getting "error 1000" and usually, after I log in and out 10 times, and alter the resolution back and forth between different setting a few times, restart my PC a few times, and meditate for 30 minutes, it generally works out.

Am I the only one having these issues? It's become a regular entry to my streaming schedule, and I am getting quite frustrated and don't know what to do. If anyone has any advice, then that would be greatly appreciated ❤️

I am now live, and I can see myself in the browser, but anyone who refreshes the page, cannot see me anymore. It is not possible to clip the stream either, unsure if that's relevant. I have not changed any settings from before this started happening, but it did appear after the latest Stream Elements update.

Two Questions:

  1. Does anyone know how SE.LIVE chooses its default browser? It's not from the system, as I've tried to change it and it does not take. I've blocked something on Edge that now refuses to allow multistream to connect to twitch.

  2. Did the Tiktok lockout issue ever get resolved? I still haven't been able to connect to Tiktok since shortly after multstreaming started.

What fixed my issue is check your setting in obs. for some reason it is changing your OBS default stream provider from Twitch/Youtube/Tiktok etc. To Custom... Once I Changed it back everything worked fine
