Is there any reason why I am not able to do Custom RMTP? I want to stream to FB live but it won't let me sadly

to all those having overlay/alert issues in OBS try going to the help menu and selecting check file integrity. i did this after checking for an update and it fixed my missing overlay/alerts that i had. essentially anything that i had that was a browser source was missing in my OBS and checking file integrity fixed it. I hope this helps yall that are struggling with this issue that i have seen these past 4 days because i fixed mine wednesday after stream and should have posted the fix then but didnt and the SE people were not any help towards this either i had to dig on my own to find it. hope this helps yall 😗

Is there some kind of internal delay between timers? I have one going off every 60 minutes and 61 minutes and the 61 minutes seems to actually be 76 minutes instead

I have been used Aitum multistream for my vertical scenes, but inserting the scenes as sources in the StreamElements canvas in order to have a cleaner vertical clip (additional info on the screen for when live that isn't needed for clips). However, just updated OBS/StreamElements and now I can no longer insert the vertical scenes from the Aitum plugin as sources, they aren't recognized as scenes anymore. Anyone else run into this issue?

I used to do the same thing I as I’ve been reinstalling everything with my new branding I noticed today the same thing. I talked to the beta team and they said they aitum and se live conflict with each other and they’re not really focused on fixing it right now.

Honnestly if Aitum would just add additional canvases Iw could stop using this plugin and save myself a ton of grief. I honneslty dont know how anyone uses this thing there seems to be almost no quality control. if aitum had multiple regular canvasas I would uninstall SE.LIVE in a heartbeat. everything else can be done better with aitum and it seems liek everytime they update SE.Live they make it worse

This is an OBS issue I think. I can't even inset the vertical aitum scenes into regular scenes as sources. OBS isn't recognizing them as scenes.

Also has anyone been able to get 1440p streaming to twitch working? I saw nutty streaming and he said anyone one affiliate or higher can do it now and that you can do 1440p at 20K but when every I try it takes it down to like 8K and 1080p. When I do it thru the plugin with a manual override it barks as be and wants 6K @ 1080p60

1440p is strictly limited to using TEB.

You can try to do it without using TEB but the technical restrictions make it almost impossible to properly function.

Unfortunately you're required to be both whitelisted and affiliate/partner to use it if you were one of the pellets who signed up when TEB was initially announced.

Hi, I'm new to streaming and obs! and... I have a problem. I'm using Aitum ONLY to create my vertical scenes and then upload the canvas to SE.Live, but I'm only getting the horizontal obs scenes, not the ones created in Aitum. Set twitch as your default settings in obs, use the Twitch enhanced broadcasting option, ignore recommended bitrate option on, then add your YT and kick or whatever to SE. My twitch is taking 22k, more then I currently push to YT. Although this plug in is incredibly buggy and doesn't always want to work.

I tried a few and none of them were solid enough for streaming the delay was to harsh. NDI was another option I used. Capture card is the best way I found.

Is your output settings set to 2560x1440? Make sure it's not downscaling it. Your canvas resolution should be 2560x1440 as well. That's all I had to do from their site page for it and I was going. I just made sure to tell SE that twitch is the default. Setting a different default in SE multistreaming will change your OBS output automatically. I learned that yesterday lol.

So rough lately. I got it months ago and it was flawless honestly. I think OBS is pushing a lot more updates quicker imo. Hard for them to keep up I'm thinking... praying. The newest update broke my output to YouTube it was unable to create stream keys or access the ones already there but the most recent OBS hotfix that added the plug in manager fixed things for me again lol.

I'm just praying to RNGesus that it stays this way. No more updates for me for awhile lolol.

broke all of my outputs as swell too. and it would always add them back in and I couldn't delete them. No matter would I did they would come back and couldn't delete them from the GUI. I had to go to the website and remove all of the channels there. Then I was able to re-add them back in via OBS panel. The got it all set back up.

After some tests, I can see everything is working by itself but not in the way I'm intending with my timers so I'm guessing there is a fix here.

I have two timers that in this test are running every 30 minutes and 31 minutes. My goal is for a message to pop every 30 minutes and 1 minute later have the second message go, but i'm clearly thinking about this wrong. I set this up and let it run offline for 10 hours and It seems both messages fire on their respective interval but my 31 minute seem to keep running further and further away from the 30 minute timer, so how would I fix this so one message fires every 30 minutes and then the second message happens 1 minute later and have that stay consistent?

Hello, I am having an issue when attempting to stream to TikTok via the SE Live plugin for OBS Studio. When I log into OBS with my TikTok account, I receive a message stating that I am not authorized to go live. The link that is then displayed takes me to the following page (see photo). Every time I try to apply there, I am not approved because “the information I provided is not accessible or verifiable.” I have applied 5 times now, but have been rejected every time. However, I am approved on Tiktok Live Studio and can go live without any problems. I know the image is in German, but maybe someone can help me figure out why it doesn't work with OBS.

Hey I just worked it out! If you name your vertical scenes the exact same as the ones in the main canvas, they do not work correctly.

So I suggest adding (Vertical) to the end of the scene names

my verticals are called "TT YT Live" and "TT YT Brb" etc etc.
But why does it make sense?
Like the vertical is trying to link to itself, causing the horizontal to get overriden or something.

No clue, all I know is that the scenes would not switch in sync even when linked if they are the same name. In that case, there should be user protections stopping the user from having identical scene names

Link your vertical scenes with your normal scenes by clicking the three dots on the vertical scene going to the bottom of the drop down where it says link and clicking the normal scenes to link each vertical scene to ( they have to have a different name than your vertical scenes) when you do that whenever you switch scenes on your normal scenes the vertical ones switch to the scene also if it’s linked (starting norm-> starting vertical, gameplay norm-> gameplay vertical, etc)

Hi everyone. I've been trying to figure this out and just have no luck. It's getting frustrating.

My ideal is using stream elements to multi stream to tiktok and twitch. but i also want the option to stream to just TikTok. For some reason my Twitch is greyed out and doesn't let me toggle it off. If i toggle the 2nd twitch one off it still goes live on twitch too. Is there a solution or do i always need to go live on twitch with the option to go live on tiktok?

Hi there. I'm not able to choose a category for Kick. No matter what I type, the field doesn't auto populate with anything, and therefore I can't save and continue. I searched here for fixes to no avail. I tried to change the version to "stable" and now I'm stuck in this update loop. It keeps prompting me to update, but even if I choose yes and it automatically restarts OBS, I get the OBS error and SE.LIVE update prompt endlessly. How can I resolve this? Thanks all.

Hey, don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but since I've upgraded to OBS 32, my SE overlays (in browser sources) are all in a weird reduced resolution, and there is nothing I can do to change them. I've tried changing the resolution both of the OBS source and in my dashboard, to no changes. Again, ALL of my SE web sources are weird, and only them. I also tried re-enabling SE's plugin, but all it still does is crash my OBS whenever I try to close the program.

Edit: Disabling hardware acceleration did nothing.

I got it! Set your default browser as google chrome and it will work.

Be patient, there was a little lag at first but then everything worked. Recommend to close OBS snd reopen a few times to make sure it’s all good.

Ps. It’s interesting that closing OBS was never a problem until adding SE.live to it.
I have to force quit now. Had to do the same thing when I used it on PC

If Se.live is not added to OBs, it will close just fine 🤷‍♀️

I’m sure this question has been asked, but I’ll shoot my shot incase someone has found a solution.

I want 2 commands,

1 to clip the last 30 seconds (!clipKill)

And 1 to call the latest kill clip (!lastKill).

I want this to work automatically, so when the !clipKill command is executed, it automatically updated the !laatKill command.

I have seen this done in other channels, however it’s through Nightbot.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Been messing with the plugin for multi-streaming, and for some reason the vertical canvas option for youtube has disappeared and simply duplicated two horizontal options. Uninstallation and reinstall hasn't helped. Is there some kind of plugin hiding somewhere in an absent folder that would cause this?

Hello, Does variable bitrate work? I can't seem to send more than 6000 bitrate while multi streaming to Twitch and YT, based on the bitrate counter on the bottom of OBS? Does that counter track both of the multistreams bitrate or just the primary account?

Twitch is the primary account set to 6000 bitrate and multistreaming to YT at like 13000 bitrate

Hi all, I've recently installed the SE.live plugin for my OBS, specifically for their multistreaming feature since I'm looking to stream on Twitch and TikTok. However, both times I've tried to stream with the multistreaming feature turned on, the streams start lagging, and the video and audio enter a loop (from what my viewers tell me, I cannot see this happening on OBS). Use File -> Exit to close out of OBS. For some reason the close button has issues. I've seen some saying it's due to browser sources not closing properly with SE.Live.

I have a majorly important question. I've been using streamerbot multichat widget to combine stream chats, and just learned yesterday that when a mod deletes a message, it does NOT get deleted on my end! This is awful regarding avoiding game spoilers.

In case you still havent found a solution to get the 7tv emotes working yet:
Try typing "!emotes update" in your chat, you should get a confirmation from the streamelements bot that your emotes have been sussessfully updated, they should now work.
If you are using the chat in OBS you just need to select the source and refresh itas shown in the picture, then the overlay there should work as well.

Fix By Kismet

Uninstalled SE Live. Then Downloaded from SE Website, Reinstall. Restarted Opened, Closed, Opened again and when it comes up and asks for Update say "Remind me Later" and NEVER update it again or it goes in loop of OBS keeps saying to Update SE Plug in.

So... on Win 10

1. Uninstall SE Plug in: Add/Remove programs > SE Live > Uninstall
2. SE Website and Download: https://streamelements.com/selive
3. Close OBS, Chrome, etc...
4. Reinstall
5. Restart
6. Open Obs, Close Obs, Open OBS
7. "Remind me Later" and never update

Hello! My vertical scenes I've made with the aitrum plugin don't show up in the vertical SE Live Canvas anymore, like it used to do. Hello my friendlyest friends.
Mein friend is having trouble installing the SE.LIVE plugin where when they are being asked what they want to install, the OBS Studio and se.live plugin options are both greyed out.
I got it working just fine on my computer where the boxes werent greyed out so I am pretty sure we are trying it correctly.
It seems to install some files but no matter what we tried it wouldnt show the StreamElements tab in the top bar within the OBS Studio app.
For reference they are running it on windows 64bit and have obs and se.live installed in the default directory.
We tried reinstalling obs and deleting all of the se.live related files within program files and within the appdata folder.
We also tried redownloading the se.live install file itself and some other small things.
Does anyone have some suggestions that might get it working

If you removed SE.Live by just deleting the files, it's probably still showing as installed in Window settings and in the registry. You'll have to remove those before you can reinstall it.

Hi folks. Giveaways still seems to be broken as far as updating the Entrants and Tickets purchased in real time - you need to refresh the browser. Also when the giveaway is complete the results are shown at the bottom the the entrants which is highly annoying to have to scroll to the bottom of the list - this used to appear at the top. Both of these bugs were introduced in the last month or so. There doesn't seem to be any way to file a ticket for this that I can find - so any advice would be gratefully received

Hello! I got suspended from Twitch for a week. When I got back my stream elements notifications/alerts broke. Stream elements is only reacting to subs and raids, not follows and bits. I tried setting up a set of new alerts on stream elements and the same thing is happening. The stream elements bot is also not reacting to bits and follows. It's interesting to note that the alert emulator is working properly, showing all alerts.

So I think something had gone awry with the communication between OBS and stream elements. If anyone could shed some light on this please, I would appreciate it 🥹

Hello, I was using Streamlabs OBS, except that since I changed my headset, I've had a problem detecting my Logitech.
Anyway, on a whim, I switched to OBS Studio and thought, why not use Stream Element instead of OBS?

So I did my basic setup on OBS Studio, but I can't do two things with Stream Element:

• Restore my real history from Streamlabs (last sub, last follow, etc.)
• Add dynamic text to my overlays (last sub, last follow, etc.).

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? :x

OBS keeps switching my end scene to my start scene within 1-3 seconds of my setting it to end scene with no input.

The reason I think this is SE.Live is because the 1st time I saw this behaviour, it was because I'd linked some scenes to my vertical canvas incorrectly. I deleted all my vertical scenes and it went away, now I just updated and it's back, I have only 1 vertical scene that I can't delete and has no apparent link to any of my horizontal scenes

Why would this be happening?

When I run OBS in "safe mode", it does not have this issue, and SE.Live is the ONLY plugin I am using, so it is absolutely an issue caused by SE.Live

That's an intentional upstream change by OBS.

try either logging out of both or reinstalling SE as probably the internal browser cache is the problem (which you can clear without uninstall but i have no idea how)

update: seems it's because of a new dock they added that has everything merged together
that is showing up in stable, after closing that panel logging out made it go away and now there's no more unauthenticated

I want to change the font of a chat overlay I've been using, but I can't get it to import the custom font i would like to use. I myself am not too knowledgable in HTML/CSS, but did follow the documentation.

So with the crash that happens when you close OBS too fast after ending stream, it changes the top scene in my vertical canvas and it does not let me change the name afterwards, it's a small thing but it does mess up with my scene links for my horizontal scenes for twitch. Any help?

Try closing your browser if you have it open during stream as it could be a source not closing fully

Hi, I'm a new user setting up my on-screen chat widget. I'm trying to figure out how to hide bot commands (messages starting with '!') from appearing in the widget. I've looked in the widget's settings in the overlay editor, and in the chatbot modules, but can't seem to find the option. Could you please point me to the correct setting?

Anyone else who uses the stream elements multistream plugin find it doesn't shut down obs correctly and everytime you open up obs it says it didn't shut down correctly? Ran obs in safe mode and it worked fine, only when this plugin is used this happenes.

it says there is an encode issue which ive been using it for the last 3months so how can it suddenly be unrecognized?

@neon solar i think it's trying to use an encoder that's been removed, go to settings>output and select x264, then select qsv h264 again

@severe hearth iirc twitch recently made some changes so you can only stream using "standard" 16:9 resolutions, non-16:9 will be prcessed incorrectly in various ways
youtube is a special case, youtube does support some non-16:9 resolutions, like.. 1920x960? or something like that, i forgot the specifics, but ultrawide is also likely to fail in unusual ways
virtually everything is built for 16:9 so either play in 16:9 or crop your video
