You can start them when you're offline, but it has to be manual, same with ending them.

Morning all, having issues with Twitch not accepting the stream due to the Bitrate being too high but, I cant see where in the OBS plugin I can edit the settings. Hello, I am running into issues setting up a vertical stream. I went to add a "Youtube" output in the corner of the "Multi-Streaming" window, and it shows in the pop-up window that it connected, though it doesn't show up on the list.
I went around this by creating a custom RTMP, but now it won't allow me to go into "settings", it pops up "Something went wrong!" "Network Error"

I thought the they all use your default bitrate in OBS settings. I first tried to multi stream with over 10k since youtube is good with it, but my Twitch stream would be a black stream. When I reached out to support they said knock it down and that work instantly.

You have to create a broadcast for every youtube stream. I stream to a full screen and a vertical at the same time, and foudn it easiest to create 2 different ones ahead of time, and then you choose them on the drop downs when you hit start streaming

The ones you create in OBS, if you go to your Youtube Studio, they'll pop up there as created broadcasts, and vice versa. You can create on youtube and it should show up in OBS. They're one in the same

Hello everyone, I tried Multistreaming to Twitch and Youtube (horizontal). It was showing both streams but on Twitch the Resolution was 720p without the '(source)'-sign on the side. On YT it was fine in 1080p. First I thought Twitch is downgrading the stream bc I'm neither partner nor affiliate but I tried it now three days in a row always the same. Before multistreaming everything was fine in 1080p. Fun fact when I ended the streams the VOD's had the possibility to change the resolution to 1080p with the '(source)'-sign there. Any help appreciated - thx in advance!

Pretty sure Twitch still only allows above 720 based on a priority system with partners/affiliate etc. Sometimes it'll allow, sometimes it won't.

Does streamelements allow for permissions for custom commands? As an example, I have certain viewers that have supported me and they have commands that only they can activate, and then either a song or little video clip will play. I don't see anything that is jumping out at me.

I just had a horrendous bug. The thing started freaking out and created hundreds of duplicates of scenes that I have to manually one by one delete since there is no bulk function for anything. This is horrible... and making me consider deleting it. I spent so much time making these scenes and now I have legit like 400 I have to delete. This is insane.

There should be a way to copy scenes from OBS to it and bulk delete scenes.

There needs to be a way to revert changes to. This is ridiulous.

Not only did it make these scenes within the program it started adding sources to my regular OBS.

So i know the kick integration is new with SE, and i see they mentioned alerts were now added, but no details on how it actually works. Does it come through my normal alert box setup im using in SE? Do I need to create an additional one? Do you have to have the SE.Live plugin installed (I have the plugin set up in a portable version of OBS because the plugin breaks to often for me to use it all the time, but like testing features)? I cant imagine they are forcing people to install the plugin in order to use the alerts and stuff?

I’m using the new StreamElements “Elements” feature (beta) to run a Subathon timer, but I’m having issues with gifted subs. Whenever someone gifts multiple subs at once (e.g., a 5-pack), the timer only adds time for one sub instead of all five.

I’m not using a Custom Widget—I’m relying on the built-in Subathon Timer element in the beta overlay tool. Does anyone know how to fix this or if there’s a setting I’m missing that ensures each individual gifted sub is counted?

I have looked in StreamElements Docs to find the right command for the bot to tag the person I want to slap and for the sound command to be heard but also for the bot to tag the person and show the command in the chat. I think the platforms connection is kinda broken, When you connect your platforms, your able to stream one time to the platforms or the still at the same day, Next day you'l have Issues putting in the Stream category for youtube and Kick, to simpyl fix it is by deactiviating both youtube and Kick, or whatever platform ur useing and press the + Icon to connect the Platforms like a new Connection to give them back the access for that one day again, It worked for me yesterday.

Few days ago SE.Live or something got updated and some alerts play for half a second and get skipped, while others play as expected. This while I had changed nothing at all on the alerts overlay for months.
This shows up on OBS and in the SE overlay preview, went to check multiple things but no clue what is causing it.

Follow alert works fine, but something like a resub, gifted sub or cheer only plays for less than a second and seems to disappear.

Logged out and logged in both on the site and in OBS, refreshed the browser source, saved the overlay and all those quick check ups and nothing.

Please let me know if you hear anything about it.

I think something in SE is causing OBS to fuck up for me
Sometimes when I close OBS, it just crashes my entire PC.
it doesn't matter if I'm recording, streaming, or not doing anything but having the program open, sometimes it'll just cause my entire computer to restart if I close it.
I genuinely can't tell what the problem is since it's completely random whether or not it'll crash when I close it, but after uninstalling SE and just trying to close and reopen OBS by itself, it hasn't crashed once, which makes me think it's an SE issue

Click the ⚙️ for the subsciber alert type then variation settings at the bottom. Create a new one with the above option.

open beta supports 1440p HEVC

the beta branch is mostly being used for testing on linux and with intel gpu's you can keep using it so that twitch gets more data from you but it's mainly now open beta for the majority of users now just make sure you have your obs set to native resolution or if it's 4k downscaled to 1440p and it will just work if you have the bandwidth

Okay from what I am seeing I have made a brand new overlay and I have deleted all of my files and reuploaded them to the site. created an alert box on the new overlay and tested the alerts that come at default with it on the website

every single default alert works, the second I change the video source of the follower event and try to play it, it no longer plays.

Since I installed SE.live plugin on my OBS, I begin to hear a sound everytime any redeem happens in my channel, however I cannot locate the origin of that sound alert, I check in my SE overlay but there's no alert type for redeems, but it hears everytime any item is redeem with channel points. You can stream to TikTok directly without the multi stream beta if you can get a stream key from TikTok however you have to qualify to obtain one

You need to be approved to go live on TikTok, typically this requires 1k followers. Then you’d need to go to the app to “Go Live” select a stream category. Save the live stream, and it’ll produce a key. Tutorials are online if you google it

I'm having trouble hearing Streamelements alerts in OBS.

In the OBS source, I checked the "Control audio via OBS" option. I also checked the "Monitor and send audio" option in the audio settings, but I can't hear the notifications. OBS shows that the audio has been played, the people on the stream can hear the audio, but I can't hear it.

I'm using OBS version 31.0.1 and the latest version of the SE OBS plugin.

I have two YouTube livestreams scheduled. One for tomorrow and one for Saturday. I also had one yesterday that is closed out now. My overlays (any overlay that has a chat component) is reading and displaying chat from the Saturday scheduled livestream. I scheduled the Saturday stream BEFORE scheduling the one for tomorrow and the one for yesterday. Yesterday my livestream chat did not work and I had to find a workaround in a pinch. I can tell that tomorrows is not going to work either, because my overlays are picking up and displaying chats from Saturday's upcoming livestream. It seems like there should be a way to go into streamelements and point it toward tomorrow's livestream and say THIS is the livestream from which I want you to read and display chats. But I can find no setting anywhere that connects the overlays to a particular livestream. I suspect that what happens is it connects to the first scheduled livestream it sees then when that ends it connects to the next one. I need to manually point it to the one to which I need it to connect. Can anyone help me? If I can't get this resolved I'm going to have to cancel my stream tomorrow. I have a support ticket it, but responses are very very slow and they are just telling me things like "disconnect and reconnect, etc.". You know, the things that everybody always does long before they ever reach out to support.

So I strongly suspect that my assumption above was correct. The overlays (at least the classic ones) only connect to one stream chat at a time. I'm going to leave this message message up so that if anyone else finds themselves in this predicament maybe it will help them. What I ended up doing was setting my Saturday scheduled stream to private. After a bit a of time, the other stream picked it up and the chat functionality started working on that stream. I then set the Saturday stream back to public and the chat continues to be tied to tomorrows stream. So, again, I think the entire youtube account connects to one livestream chat at a time. when that stream ends (or goes private or anything else that would remove the connection to it's live chat) then the streamelements account connects to the next livestream. I'm guessing it goes by date created. Like when whatever livestream is currently active ends, it connects to the next scheduled stream with the earliest created by date. This is all just guesswork based on what I'm seeing with my own streams. I could be totally wrong here. If I am, I would love to know. But at any rate, setting the other stream to private seemed to work for me.

It's VERY buggy to say the least. I honestly only wanted it to be able to multi stream to Instagram without it being all zoomed in like when I use restream. But restream is honestly much easier. If you're trying to dual stream, you want to set anything BUT Youtube as your Primary Output. The reason for this: OBS Studio has built in Broadcast Management for Youtube. When it's set as the Primary Output in OBS, it WILL conflict with how the multi-streaming plugin works.

I know, as Youtube is my primary streaming platform, but I also dual stream to Twitch, because of drops.

That's just Broadcast Settings, honestly doesn't do much other than update title and a category. If you "Start Streaming" it'll prompt you to update any outputs you've configured with Title and category information, then you s hould be able to continue and go live.

SE Live is wanting to update but it wont update. It opens the update confirmation window when i launch OBS, then another window opens that is checking for locked files, then everything closes and nothing else happens. When I relaunch OBS I have to first click the run normally button (because the SE Live update closes/crashes OBS) and then the process repeats. How do I get past this?

Hey guys, so I'm running OBS, i've double checked all the guides I could find on how to fix this (see picture), it was running fine the other day, nothing has changed in terms of sizes, and I've even tried deleting the old source and adding in a new source incase something got corrupted during the clone to a larger M.2 SSD.

No matter what I try, the black boarder will not go away and the only thing I can think of is to make the size larger than it needs to be with the black boarder on the edges.

I've also tried updating and checking all my other programs but nothing is wanting to play nice.

Figured I would ask here and see what is recommended.

Hmm it seems to me that your widget width/height and the browser source aren't the same.
Go into your widget and check what size it's using in the position, size and style tab (you can adjust it if it doesn't fit properly) then on your browser source in OBS set the same values and it should get rid of that extra space you see.

I've used it before, then removed it but wanting to try it again last night and it was giving a error. But somehow it's now setup twice on the multi-streaming and can't delete either one along with x. Did a test stream this morning and it seem to go through to yt so not sure if it's because of a issue with yt last night or what

@ocean rock mine worked perfectly last night, but I just installed yesterday. I made a backup of my OBS folder from before install, just incase of issues, so I’m not sure why it would give you that error. I suggest you use a fresh install of OBS and restore your profile and scenes, then reinstall SE Live.
I only used one of the YouTube tabs as well, and unchecked the other. That might be why I didn’t get the error 🤔
