Just a quick question on how to connect to twitch. I have been using streamelements just fine, without issue, and finally got affiliate. During affiliate setup thw twitch alert system tells me to connect to streamelements, if I click connect, it takes me to the stream elements dashboard, which is already signed in and working, but never authorises on twitch. If I go to the second place to connect it, same thing. The "setup guide" takes me to the "managing overlays" page of your helpdesk, which is not at all useful.

Hello everyone. I am looking for some help with encoding settings. I am attaching my streaming PC and OBS settings. The issue I have when multistreaming is encoding lag. There is no encoding lag w/ horiztonal streams but when adding vertical streams always cause it and it then the horizontal lag as well. I don't know which Encoder to use. I am attaching my OBS settings / Stream PC Specs. Im hoping for some guidance on what vertical encoder to use.

Edit: I am updating stream PC ram/ CPU when new 9800x3d comes in. At that time, i will be using 5900x CPU. Might be able to use that encoder then. but in the mean time. i am trying to stream in both vert / horizontal

Every time I install the Beta SE.Live for multi stream and start it all my camera filters are visible by default & I have to turn them all off individually. Could be something triggering it not sure get no errors.

Also bitrate question with stream twitch/tiktok vertical. Am I correct in having read you need to multiply your output bitrate by the amount tof services you're streaming to? So if I'm 864p to twitch at 7-8k bitrate and want to do vertical 720p to tiktok I should up my bitrate to 14-16k to split evenly?

I had kind of a cool idea and was curious to know if anyone had ideas on how to go about doing this.

Pokemon community game his a bot that spawns random pokemon in chat that people can catch. It then posts a message saying who caught what Pokemon.

Stream avatars has a bunch of avatars you can pick from to allow your community to pick from and have their avatar show on steam. Usually with a currency earning system to buy more avatars. In this case I use Pokemon avatars.

Is there a way to make a stream elements commands that responds to the Pokemon community game bot saying who caught what, and have the command reply with the prompt used to trigger stream avatars to gift the avatar to the people.

Just shooting this out there in case there's a fix the community might have, but I recently made an alert box in SE overlay editor added a .gif and sound. When I wmulate the donation I hear the alert in the editor but when in OBS I do not. I went into streamelements layout for it... turned off the 4 video by clicking on the eye to hide them.. then clicked them again to turn them all back on... and made sure that refresh browser source was selected in the OBS source for it... and switched to a different scene them back to it and the 4th one was broken. Delete your broswer history and cookies and everything so that it logs you out of tiktok on your default browser. then in your multistream dock delete the tiktok one. then create the new stream. once you hit the connect button it should bring you to the tiktok page to reauthorize your account, because you deleted your history and cookies and all that you should no longer be signed in, forcing you to sign into your tiktok account and reauthorizing it

If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. Delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. Start SE.Live
5. Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Connect

they made me get 2factor to access my account, but i finally got the damn twitch output removed! full delete of everything once uninstalled off steam, deleted everything obs related in %appdata%, went to twitch connections page and unlinked stream elements & se multistream, and finally unlinked my streamelements account from twitch as well, so only youtube was left.

okay, so i was SUCCESSFULLY ABLE to authorize everything i wanted, seems like the problem was with edge? i turned off EVERY security feature on it, no website tracking protective, safescreen, adblock disabled, everything. still gave me that "disable adblock or try again later" auth failure. remembered friends in another discord server loved "Brave" browser, thought what the hell, im @ my wits end. downloaded brave, imported everything over from edge, which was super simple, one click. failed the first try i did, but i noticed Brave had a "shields up" mode ad-block thing. disabled, and everything worked just fine

anywhere to report this specifically to devs? i've already made a ticket about the issue, which hasnt been answered yet, so should i just reply with my fix there when they do? or would they like another submission somewhere else

I had to factory reset my streaming laptop twice yesterday. Someone someone said in the OBS studios discord was that it seemed a I had a lot browser sources and asked if there was a way that I could combine some of them.

In doing some research apparently streamelements has the ability to take multiple browser sources and combine them? Something about CSS code or something. Is there a way that I can do that? For example, I would like to have my sount alerts, spotify display, throne alert etc all on one broswer source. How do I go about doing that?

Can anyone that streams to TikTok using the Beta feature tell me how to watch your own tiktok stream on your phone when you go live? I pull up my account on my phone and there is nowhere to click to enter my own livestream. The only way to view it is by logging into an alt account and then seeing my main account streaming.

Just sharing this for general, searchable knowledge, in case others run into the same issue:
With a streamer for who I moderate at YouTube, StreamElements most of the time wouldn't work/activate (no timer messages or responses to commands/keywords in YouTube Chat). In apparently random cases it did seem to activate, but that was in less than 20% of the streams since the streamer started on YouTube months ago.

In the last 3 streams we accidentally found out we can forcefully activate SE, by adding a new command in the Dashboard, while the streamer is live. Each time it would start responding to commands within ±1 minute after adding a new command.

I don't know if SE support may have a different fix, so we don't have to use this workaround and SE activates automatically for YouTube streams. But as the streamer is too busy irl and hasn't been able to make time/remember to contact support, I have no clue. I also don't have the streamer's account ID to do it on their behalf either, so as mods we're happy to have at least this workaround for now. Couldn't find this info here in the server or anywhere else myself, so thought I'd share it.

Hye, so I was testing Tiktok Studio and it is working just fine. So both issues, the one with the categories and the one, that you cannot open the stream properly are caused by SE.Live. I will continue to use it in parallel with OBS for now I guess.

The Beta channel is "disabled" for me and i am unable to try out the multi-stream :( I clicked the beta channel in the drop box, but in the settings it says its disabled and i am unable to click it.

hello, I'm a streamer and I also use streamer in my stream. But my problem is not on my stream... I'm a moderator on another streamer's channel, but it seems that streamelement detects me as a moderator. I am able to place regular commands. But no moderation commands works. The streamer also uses wizebot bot and I am able to get the commands to work without problem like !cmd add !test... only wizebot responds to me... but for all other moderators the commands work without problem. thanks in advance!!

okay, yeah, the new SE Multistream update has a rather bad bug with Youtube if Youtube is the primary stream output

SE Multistream appears to be trying to set up a Custom RMTP to send data to Youtube, but OBS itself is also using it's own built-in Youtube intergration to send data to youtube

the end result is that the data stream is being sent to youtube twice

i'm trying to find a way to stop it from happening

okay, so, SE and OBS appear to compete and double up the data stream IF, and ONLY IF, youtube is set as the primary output

If any other site is set as the primary output, SE will set up the RMTP settings properly and send the data stream accordingly, even if Youtube is toggled as a secondary output

youtube takes a bit before it will tell you it's getting multiple ingestions

The easiest way to tell that something is going wrong is to bring up your task manager and check how much network OBS is using.
If it's using double the bitrate you set it to output eventhough you only told it to stream to youtube, it means it's sending 2 data streams

Also, I found out you can also add a custom RMPT output so you could switch out one of them to send it to the backup server and it may fix it.

Just make sure you have on OBS your account disconnected for Youtube.

it's an idea, but not exactly ideal because this still results in doubling network usage when I'd rather avoid it
it just stops Youtube from throwing a fuss

I did try to stream with my Youtube account disconnected from OBS and all custom RMPT's empty, so that SE has free reign to do all of the custom settings.
But I still saw doubled network usage, and an eventual "more than 1 ingestion" error on Youtube

but on that note, a ticket has been created
hope the SE team are able to fix the bug quickly

Another way to fix this is disable one of the YouTube outputs from the SE.Live plugin, that should prevent the collision with the OBS output.

Verify that all the alert variations are set up correctly. If they are, you'll probably need a ticket so someone can go in and directly look at your overlay.

It was fine in the folder, it just has to be above anything that it should show on top of.

Make sure the overlay is saved in the overlay editor. Refresh the overlay cache in OBS. I believe your stream has to be live and public for the chat and overlays to work.

Yeah they were on top (not the very top). I tested it in streamelements before I streamed with the EMULATE button and they would appear in OBS. The only thing that never showed was the chat. I was public.
I'll move them to the super top just in case.

I did figure it out I think last night - I made a new horizontal canvas and set that to AV1. Unfortunately the canvas doesnt support transitions but if it results in better Youtube stream that'll be enough. Let me grab some quick steps for how I did this

I believe they are place holders. For me OBS Studio, Youtube is my primary output. The secondary one that's there, not enabled, seems you can create a vertical canvas and assign it.

I set up for a certain collection and go to edit for another one and the changes I make in one collection seem to carry over to other collections for the vertical.. its very annoying to have to recreate my vertical every time I want to change collections

@balmy marten Honestly you shouldn't have to link scenes, just enable YT, and tell it to use the default canvas, sounds like Twitch is your primary output... it'll just 'work' That's what I've done.

The only time I had to link scenes is adding YT Shorts layout. I had to create the scenes with all my sources, then I linked those with my Primary output sources. That way when one changes, they all change.

But if you don't use anything but 'default canvas' nothing to link.

I used to have the same thing but now I don't have a greyed out platform, from rough memory I think it is from logging into that account in your OBS settings. My default is Twitch and I kept the second Twitch thing enabled also otherwise my bitrate would fluctuate a lot for some reason. I actually had to disable and re-enable the platform to agree to the SE integration on my browser to fix it sometimes. I don't know if that's the same thing in your case or not. You may have to log out of the platform in your OBS settings to change the primary? and just use a stream key instead. That might allow you to change the primary stream

YT multistreaming worked great on SE.Live last night and now it isn't getting pushed on Shorts feed, half the time doesn't even register it's streaming good stuff

Going to reinstall SE live with obs 31 see if that fixes it tomorrow. Last night stream got pushed to the shorts feed with 0 issues. Tonight had to toggle and restart obs multiepl times for the stream to even start it kept scheduling it for some reason.

so I am very very pissed off i did the update for se and all my overlay and profiles everything single thing i had done like split audio and games all that gone WTF I am not happy JAN

That's definitely not good and as much as you should backed everything up (sensible thing to do) SE have also released quite a broken default/stable add on.

coulndt export profile it was greyed out and i thought it would be like slobs and store the profile to the login info

Weird, I've had that happened before and it sucks having to do everything again especially intricate stuff like split audio but also settings for filters.

I figured this out, the answer is yes!
However, if you want to finish a TikTok LIVE early while still staying live on Twitch, the TikTok website will freak out a little trying to find your stream, had to open TikTok Live Studio and End it through there before it was happy

what do i do other than have to set everything up again

That doesn't make sense. If you're live streaming through OBS with SE.LIVE Multistream you toggle off tiktok and it ends the stream after a few seconds. What would going to the Studio app achieve since the stream isn't through that software?

Unfortunately this didn't happen with me today, the TikTok LIVE stayed on with a blank screen.
When you go into TTLS, it shows a pop-up saying something like "You're already Live on this device, would you like to End the Live or keep streaming?"

Interesting. I got to say this SE.LIVE release has been atrocious with OBS v31. Need to do a clean install but it seems it's literally cooking outputs on all platforms. Like even my Twitch stream feels like it's not remotely being broadcast correctly when you avg 15-20 viewers and then you have 1-2 viewers. Confirmed the vertical stream wasn't pushed to vertical live OR shorts feed at all tonight the way it was last night. This should've sat cooking way longer to iron out rather than release it asap

with the extra canvas on SE Live has anyone been able to toggle sources yet or figure a way to map them to main canvas sources ?

If you're talking about the multi-streaming, if you have no need to change anything in the default canvas, just tie the new platform to the 'default canvas' and you're done.

The only canvas I had to completely redo was YT Shorts. Then I rebuild the scenes, and linked scenes between my YT Shorts canvas and my default canvas so when one changed, they both did

The only thing I need to figure out is separating out audio sources
