Hello, I recently joined SE and I implemented SE. Live in my OBS. However, I downloaded it when I was in my Twitch Account, I don't know if it matters because when I stream on YouTube, my overlays and alerts are working fine on obs, both for Twitch and YouTube, but my SE.Live Activity Feed doesn't change from Twitch to YouTube and it doesn't give me any option to change to my YouTube account. Can you ro someone please help?

You have to log out from the SE menu to switch between YouTube and twirch feeds.

Hi all, I've updated to the latest SE in OBS, not seeing the new Elements Control Center. Also, when I click StreamElements in the Menu bar SE.Live Docks is empty. Clicking anything under the Event Emulator in that menu also has no effect.

Ok, I stream on youtube and have been having issues where the activity feed in obs does not update when I receive subs. I will hear the alert, but nothing in the feed. I know that if the person subscribing has their subs set to private, their name isn't sent to the creator. These instances aren't those. I get emailed and they show up eventually. Trying to figure out why it's not populating in real time.
Also seems the chat alerts I have enabled didn't fire either.

Hey peeps! Is anyone else having a problem where SE.Live in OBS asks you to relog into your account and absolutely messes up all of your dock placement? It is driving me nuts that I have to relog into SE.Live so often (seems like monthly or so) and it screws up all of my dock placement in OBS and takes me an hour to reset my docks each time.
Anyone know of a fix for this? Is there a way to save dock placement? Is this just my life from now on?!
It actually happens anytime that SE.LIVE attempts to take over my OBS display. So like even when I click on Import... it does it. This is extremely annoying and causes so many problems that I am about to just remove Stream Elements entirely from my OBS. Hopefully someone has a solution so I dont have to do that.

Twitch animated emotes do not migrate to discord as GIFs. They migrate as PNGs. If you want GIFs you have to upload them yourself but in that case anyone on the server with nitro will be able to use them.

so straight from console, there isn't a lot of choice you have, it's either capture card and feed it into obs and add your things there or making use of paid third-party services that will allow you to modify your feed and add overlays etc. if we are speaking straight from console
unless you're looking to do it old school aka camera pointed at tv screen then in that way you can get away with just doing the things via twitch studio, quality probably won't be that great but modern smartphones gotten quite good at capturing a tv screen I guess

Hi, I've been streaming for a while but I recently switched to streamelements as a tipping provider. The issue I have is that I can emulate my tipping alert just fine from going to the overlays on the website. I see and hear them on OBS but when someone tips while I'm live their tip alert doesn't show. Strangely enough it does show in the recording of the stream but just not in the livestream itself. Fair, and after looking online I got the bot back online in the chat, it responds to commands but does not post alerts. Cheer Alert: we have quite a few cheer alerts (specifically bits - over 100) that we need to randomize. We have it set at 'at least 200 bits' but it tends to play the same ones over and over.. tried playing with % and that just made it worse. Tried searching here and on the internet - didn't come across any info. Anyone else use a stupid amount of variations for Alerts and have them randomize? any tips?

I am going crazy on this... a mod renamed account. So far so good. Channelpoints and watchtime was transfered with !rename. All fine. The mod can use the points for minigames. But for redeeming stuff in the "stream-shop" it does not work. We got custom chatbot commands for triggering sounds and videos from the shop. non of them work anymore for the renamed account. Anyone had a similar issue? We tried a lot. deleting the account from SE, reconnecting the chatbot etc. The first answer of the chatbot is "Sorry you don't have enough points" and then "you are redeeming too fast". The account has plenty of points. I already reset them and gave them back, nothing worked so far. We need help.
Update: The account can use the store in SE directly and there it works. It just dont work with the chatbot command. We got plenty of those and all work for all users except the renamed one.

Hmm there seems to be a few challenges with this. I'm using a plugin that allows OBS to stream to multiple outputs using the same instance. So currently the Youtube live sees the same thing that Twitch does. With that setup I don't think duplicating the overlays and setting up new alertboxes will do the trick since it will all need to be the same overlay in OBS.

Only problem I see with that is the Twitch and Youtube alerts could overlap if they go off at the same time so probably going to have to adjust the positioning.
Multicasting doesn't seem to be as integrated as I expected it to be within SE. Just an idea but I feel like there should be a way to integrate alerts for other platforms into the same overlays and stuff that you already have. For instance if you connect your Youtube when you go back in to edit the overlays and add/edit an alert it should populate options for Youtube and Twitch in the same section. Just my thoughts anyways.

Hello! Are there any known server issues? No previews are working anymore and the Media Browser page to select assets is not loading. Oh, i forgot to tell, that I am using that from within OBS right now. But I have heavy loading issues if I visit the website using any of my existing browsers.

If it's banned it shouldn't be there; however, StreamElements will not get some data from your channel if the bot is not there.

Parting/Muting really only affect the chat commands and modules. The bot is always in your chat if your Twitch is connected to SE because it's necessary so SE can grab all the info it needs for alerts and such.

My activity feed in Streamelements hasn't updated for 17 days, and my follower and raid alerts aren't showing up on stream, but do when I test them

The Activity Feed loads the community subgifts (for example 10 subgift) only after a manual update. On the website as well as via SE.LIVE Core in OBS, these are only loaded after a manual update. All methods have not solved the problem. Incidentally, the problem is not unique to me. The latest version of SE.LIVE Core is installed.
Everything but Community Gifted Subs is only displayed after pressing F5. It is so annoying in OBS with live core..

I am having this same issue but only with raids. Because its not being recorded in the activity feed it will not update my overlay. The immolated raids show up, but not the real Raids. I can see the raids being recorded in every program but Stream Elements. I can provide screen shots if necessary, but did not want all that data and usernames to be visible.

I'm having an issue with the overlays that deal with the bot counters using custom commands. The commands record in the chat and the responses are correct, but the overlay does not update or reflect a thing. I just added an event overlay to streams this day, so I will have to update you all later if it is also an issue for me where the overlay isn't reflecting a thing. I really thing the overlays are having issues.

I wanted to ask those of you who may have merch in your store how you figured out the amounts.
I worry that if I make it too high, people might not want to collect points, and I worry if I make it too low, people will just farm points and get merch (I had this happen with a giveaway entry for channel points, where bots would just farm channel points and get entries).
Also, the subscriber bonuses for the loyalty points program, if someone gifts a sub, does the person gifting get the subscriber bonus? For example, if it's set to 500 points, and someone gifts 10 subs, will they get 5000 points? Or do the 500 points go to each of the viewers who got the gifted sub?

With the old "Overlays" system this feature is limited to pre-approved users/companies. You can apply to be on said list but your use-case may need to have you be added as an editor and share that way.
Actual sharing is possible with "Elements" and does not need pre-approval to do this.

I'm trying to make a command that converts mph into kmph, and also round to the nearest whole number. i got the converting part right, but the rounding part doesn't. does SE not use math.random from javascript? the current command i got is: $(math.round $(1) * 1.60934)

Yo is anybody having any issues with the widgets , etc working. i didnt stream for like a week came back and now my widgets wont work. they all been reset to streamlabe defaults. sat for like slmaost a hour trying to fix and look at code that was replaced and or deleted and still coudlnt get the widgets to work. Im like wth. Alll the original code from SE was still in the OBS and so called active and it won't show agter pressing test or preview. idk wth is going on.

im having a problem with the bits alert. all my alerts work except my bits alert. it was previously working and i didnt change anything. my tip and sub alerts still work and they are on the same overlay which i havent edited or touched prior to this happening. when i test in OBS it shows the bit alert but not when a person actually sends bits.
also, SE is able to track my subs and tips but its not tracking my followers anymore. it says i havent had a follower for over a week even tho i have streamed.
i dont know if this is something on my end or on SE's side. i didnt change anything since this started happening. i tried parting SE's bot and modding and unmodding but nothing has changed.

Hey, I have the following issue. I recently updated SEobs and saw that you can add elements into obs. I added the "anime theme pack". I want follower alerts to be displayed without the "meow" sound. I went it to edit mode and removed the sound, but it still plays the sound. I tried to add a custom sound, but then it plays the custom sound first followed by the default one. This issue occurs on all the different scenes and alerts (sub, gift, etc.).

I have just started using the "${random.chatter}" variable, and want to know if there is a way to exclude certain names from coming out, such as my own, or any bots such as stream elements itself? I want it to only pick from real people essentially 😅 I think the variable itself accepts no arguments so I assume nothing available? Is there an alternative to that variable if that won't work?

Not fully true. If you use WebSocket connected to account A in overlay of account B you can get both in one overlay. You need custom code to handle it but matches the questions. @wraith marsh read about “streamelements websocket”. Take in mind chat events do not go though it… which I think is stupid.

if you enter a single digit value as a tipping amount the form won't validate

hmm, make sure you save the overlay after making edits. Other than that I'm not entirely sure. You may need a ticket so someone can look at your overlay.

Can anyone try to help me with an issue? Alerts sound normal and fine through OBS and when emulated from OBS to alert, but using the Streamelements site and emulating from the browser, the alerts sound distorted and robotic. I have tried to remove and re-input the browser, and its still doing the same thing. Alerts sound distorted to the viewers and myself when emulating from the browser. It will work when it wants and will start to sound robotic at random times.

Afaik there is no direct way to share a overlay. You can submit it as widget share, but that's hardly what you want to do.
Simplest would be to either make a jsfiddle project and share that link or to make files, zip em' and ship the zip.
I think the new Elements can be shared, tho. Porting your overlays could work as an advanced solution in that case.
