Actual UI
Some elements
Not the main ui but some popups
The holo screens are terrible with fg. I wonder if there's any fix for it
The UI will artifact during quick pans at lower internal framerates without it. I don't really see any downsides to enabling it globally other than a minor increase in memory cost.
If the game doesn't have the proper inputs (hudless and ui buffer), it'll just be the same as Preset A
How can I enable it globally?
NVPI, Nvidia App. Same places you would set other DLSS overrides
RR off seems palatable now with latest Reno - or am I tripping?
Yeah, it's Clauding time
Having a new problem with Display Commander: It disengages the FPS Limiter Preset setting every few minutes and I'm back with stutters with about 25ms latency. Normally the latency is in the 50 range.... I dunno what to do anymore about those stutters. It makes it unplayable for me. Restarting the game solves it and the limiter works again but only for a few minutes.
I'd consider the DC support channel, he's been testing with Pragmata.
Do you have a link for me please?
Ah lol, didn't know it's on this server. Thx
100% lol
Bro didnāt even bother to remove el famoso ā from the description
And this, but only really noticeable against very bright backgrounds like these. Preset B or A
tested this and it does remove the character outline 100% from the screenshots I posted above, but the framerate and framepacing is way worse it also looks a bit softer I think? (might be placebo) but what's not placebo is the dogshit framepacing, it's actually an insane difference š® from locked 112 fps to 90-100
yeah the old fg isnt worth downgrading to man
I saw ppl that were asking about hdr stuff and settings, just use the trueblack setting and apl stabilize to max(if you have that setting ofc), works good for me, anyone else agrees?
I hope Witcher 3ās streamline version gets updated with the rumored dlc update
Sucks being stuck on the old frame gen
you really think that dlc is happening? xD
I mean I hope
can you not update witcher 3 manually?
i've not played it in a while
I replayed it so much I cant physically play it anymore
Itās on streamline 1.something canāt manually update or it crashes
oh wow, that sucks
tho kinda a big backlog...
it crashes if u update to new sl?
man, that's a wee backlog
theres more..
khazan, lies of p, ai limit, idk probably more that I got and forgot about
oh khazan exists, redownloading, got stuck and rage uninstalled
Yeah streamline 1.0 games canāt be updated to 2.0 and Witcher 3 is one of less than a dozen games on 1.0
hahahah im afraid of that
im leaving it for last
it's so good though ha
i think i'm stuck on an optional mission so i could just quit but stubborn
does anyone have the latest streamline
Idk where is it on my pc
nor do I remember where I got it
Streamline Integration Framework. Contribute to NVIDIA-RTX/Streamline development by creating an account on GitHub.
You have to play them all to understand Pragmata....
Is there any setting worth lowering to get a few fps? In some areas I“m barely at 60fps with DLSS Performance and FG at 4K (with a 4080)
if u turn on PT probably no. only radiance cache does significant performance boost for me.
Oh true, but it does crash at some points tho
I just set a 45% custom DLSS res to see if it helps (Since I“m at it I“m also gonna try preset E)
anyone know if pragmata has haptic feedback on the dualsense?
No haptics, triggers yes
Anyone that beat the game?
only in that specific area
some of us
If you did ||how long is sector 6 compared to the rest?||
dang i didnt notice how long
i just play 1-2 sector a day and finish it
is there a way to download not from nexus?
like id expect there to be a github release but artifacts dont seem to contain pragmata
After the balcony boss I had several crashes in that zone. Turning it off for now
yea i would turn it off in the entire area 2
I'm close to finishing the game and didnt encounter any other crashes. Currently 100% in all previous areas and 3*ed all trainings
So yeah only sector 2 is unsafe with it turned on
@arctic glen do you use frame limit with adaptive smoothing? or just vrr cap
What area is sector 2? The 3rd or second one I guess?
The ||city ||?
Or the ||plants place || (Iām at this one )
I use adaptive set to VRR cap, dual mode
might want to lower depending on how high your fps goes
||new york replica||
Ohhhhh gotcha. So except from that area the rest of the game wonāt crash or look worse?
Yes no crashes for me, I'm at the last sector 1/4 ish through no issues
Nice!
And Im trying to 100% as much as I can do on the first run
Iāll turn it on then. I desperately need to get to at least 70fps in the most demanding scenes. 60 with FG itās just ew
So I can vouche for it
Itās just turning on radiance cache right?
Also tried it up until training number ||27|| no issues
Yes, tick both boxes
Perfect. Thanks!
hmm lets say around 110-130fps with FG2
240hz monitor tho
I would set limit to like 150 then
and then adaptive from there
rn adaptive only goes down to half of cap at max
Where“s the Ref tweaks file to enable radiance cache? I can“t find it here and its not on U+ either
#1475553827255222486 message
Thanks
With the 45% dlss res Iām already at 75fps where previously I was at 60fps with Performance
So thatās great
And radiance cache got me up to 85 fps in a bridge area I used for testing in area 2 but indeed. I got a crash very soon while standing still lol (I know it crashes here I just wanted to try it)
Im also trying E and seems good? Anyone made any comparisons? What looks best here
pretty much everyone agrees that E looks better in this game, D boils badly and E doesn't have the ghosting downside to anywhere near the same extent as RE9
Yeah I was seeing this rn in the brief test I did
It does seem to oversharpen stuff tho
In a slightly unpleasant way
But boiling is worse
maybe because of the 45% resolution, I don't see any sort of sharpening at Quality
Doubt that it would be that much different than 50% at perf no?
Should be really really similar image quality
I did try D at 33% and it didnāt over sharpen
I mean, RR is basically inventing details so it's just going to do a worse job at a lower internal res, there are definitely differences in reconstruction between D and E
Yep makes sense
I thought it looked really good tho E. Tested 10 mins in sector 3
Crisper in a good way and I didnāt see boiling. But oversharpen at times. No big deal overall and Iām not going under 80fps now vs falling as low as 59fps before lol
This game is HEAVY
Heavier than cyberpunk even
definitely not on my end, this is heavier than RE9 but lighter than most pathtracing
For me it runs slightly heavier than Cyberpunk
And noticeably heavier than Requiem
Requiem lowest I hit was 70s in Raccoon I think, with DLSS perf and no radiance cache
Here my lowest is 59 or so with those same settings
Cyberpunk I“m usually never under 65, usually on 80s
what about vanilla CP2077? RE9/Pragmata are the only PT games I can run at 4k Quality and maintain 100+
Oof I dont know about vanilla cyberpunk, been modded for ages lol
5090 I guess?
yeah, still can't run 4k Quality in DOOM, Indiana Jones, CP2077 vanilla, RTX remix stuff, AW2, etc
wtf, dunno why it“s so heavy for me then lol
Its only in very specific areas tho mind you
Mostly im at 80fps or so with DLSS P
city is really the only particularly intensive location
But the entrance to sector 3 for example I was at 60, some room further in the sector with a lot of vegetation too
And some bridges in the city where you see a lot of stuff dropped into 60 too
city I did drop to around 100, maybe 90 sometimes at DLSS quality 5k x 2k
Radiance cache + 45% res and Im not going lower than 80 now tho
If I keep the radiance cache I could probably go back up to 50% even, but not sure its worth it since that mere 5% is giving me like 10fps
Pragmata with PT runs better on my 5070 than Requiem
On average yes, for me too
But it has lower lows
Next area to the city was equally taxing for me btw (in certain places)
Thats why I had to start tweaking shit. I thought it would only be the city but noup
I see this as well and noticed it in RE9. It seemed worse in RE9 though. It does look very unpleasant, but isn't noticeable all of the time. It's still worth to use E
the next area with all the vegetation and plants is way more demanding than the city but you also have a nasa pc, you are nowhere near the average user ...
Yep. Itās still better than the boiling for sure
Yeah it was around 5fps more demanding than the city for me due to the vegetation
Which makes sense
Still with radiance cache itās still pretty good. Even without the 45% DLSS
I am also comparing relative performance across games
I had no big issues, just some dips that were lower than compared to the city.
this games PT is less intensive than many other games turned up
I just meant that you won't need to fear any bad performance .
Capcom used a new pt method in pragmata. Going forward the next iteration of path tracing should run 3 times as fast as now ...
CD is like 40-45
maybe cranked up with dlaa in 4k , yeah .
dlss quality 5k x 2k
like i said ^^
eh
cranked to max
its max is basically low
so bad optimized you mean ?
yeah CD optimization is ass
i agree, it tanks even the highest hardware
I don't usually choose to run at low FPS, just kind of have to in CD for it to look remotely acceptable
that's ass, i hope they fix some of these issues this week ...
Yep, exactly
No, breaks it how? It just doesn't turn on?
yea FG just stops working
works fine on my end here
what the hell
Youre using DC to verify? I noticed that sometimes DC says FG is off but my actual present fps is actually doubled from base fps
hmm yea i was just going by the steam overlay
i didnt mess with it too much just noticed it was in the 90s when it was like 150 or so before
im tired lol
Damn bro, u sweat it out for this one huh lol
I finished everything except Lunatic but dont think im trying to replay this one so soon right now. Awesome game though, loved every minute
I'll try master simulator and then lets see if i still have energy for lunatic
I wish you could start on Lunatic...
Sure you have stuff unlocked from the start the way it is now, but the prices are kinda ridiculous.
you can, just download a savegame with luantic unlocked and play it that way the first time if you like
Too late for that... And having stuff unlocked from the start would ruin it.
nothing carries over in lunatic, dw
Everything is unlocked in the shop from the start.
And you start getting it as you go right away.
At this point I kinda wish you could start NG+ on it instead, not sure I'm up for the second run from the scratch.
can you unlock every achievement except finish the game on lunatic on run 1?
I just finished the game too, i liked it a lot, it was something new and innovative and it kept me on the edge and very focused in some encounters.
so only 1 more achievement. Maybe I'll take a break for 1 or couple of days before
soon all trainings missions done...
yeah
Im still not sure and it kinda bothers me..Rn I have FG on and vsync per game in the driver. Is that better than no vsync and use relimiter with vrr cap+adaptive smoothing?
I use the first option you mentioned and feels great
0 flicker also
Vrr cap and adaptive smoothing works great for me in this
tbh I tried both now but I can't even tell the difference. Maybe I should just not overthink this lol
I have vsync on application controlled then off in options
I use adaptive smoothing in everything now
If u canāt tell the difference where is the issue lol
what do you like better about it?
This is a relimiter feature?
Im just trying stuff, I thought relimiter would be better as the modders here made it specifically for framepacing
I'm one of the devs š
But it just catches any frame fluctuations and evens them out before you feel it
Yeah it is man
oh lol nice work. I will probably switch back again to compare
I've got a more detailed explanation on github
I just thought there has to be a downside to not using vsync, but theres none?
Yeah if you have issues itās probably great. Havenāt tried it myself yet tho cause I generally have 0 issues leaving vsync+VRR do the work
If you have a vrr display it honestly doesn't matter as long as you stay on or below the vrr cap
Guys I find that Reno peak brightness in Pragmata is way lower than your screen's peak brightness
Use Lilium HDR analysis and look at a tone mapping pattern (also from lilium), if you set your peak brightness to match your screen's, it would not reach that actual brightness
You have to ctrl click on the peak brightness bar to turn it way up beyond your screen's actual peak brightness, so that the Lilium analysis actually touches your screen's peak brightness
For my 4000 nits modded S95F for example, I have to turn peak brightness to 6000-7000 to actually make it hit 4000
at the brightest point of course
Huh? You sure about that? I doubt that would happen with a Reno mod
Not every bright thing will be peak brightness also
How do you find a brightest point in the game?
Use the Lilium test pattern
Or if there is a sun in the game put that on your screen
You could ping musa about it just in case
He probably could confirm it
Does it only happen at 4K? Or any value
I am only playing in 4K so not sure about other resolutions. Same thing happens with Dragon's Dogma 2.
MH Wilds on the other hand does adhere to the peak brightness you enter.
Reminds me to try RE9 too
I noticed that for 2500nits peak brightness setting highlights were sitting around 1500nits. But i donāt know ir that is expected or not. I just assumed that these in-game led strips are set to the similar value in terms of absolute brightness
time for the last boss
I meant 4K nits my bad lol
why cant they use a better compression for the pre rendered video
i mean there are just about less than 5 pre rendered videos in this game, why not just give us some better looking video
4k nits mhm. i keep trying to do my best not to start a flame war about oleds. i side by sided .. lets not start a flame war
I can't quite put my finger on it but, for me, RenoDX defaults lacks a little bit of punch. Maybe a bit of saturation? Has anybody felt the same, and if so did you manage to tweak it?
I hesitate to say "washed out" as it's only a minor grievance...but that kinda thing
Try 2.2 EOTF emulation
Great thanks, will do
For me was the '"apply pre-tone map curve" option, I don't know why but it kind of makes the game a little blurry and makes the highlights a little dimmer kind of like chromatic aberration does to other game at least for me that's what it seems to happen on my tv when I enable it.
Is anyone else having this bug where if you comeback to the shelter from a mission when you go to the upgrades menu or cabin menu the game starts having these freeze like for 1 or 2 secs similar to when you are maxing out your vram but it only happens in the menu and not when you are in control of Hugh and if you stay on the menu too long the game crashes?
@urban creek how do you like the ending
o
For me it looks very punchy and great
Match sdr preset
same only lunatic achievement left, but dont want to play this game in hard mode lol maybe later lol
try pre tone map curve off and 2.2 gamma but be aware of crushed blacks in some scenes
hmmmmmmmm
Quick question, is "Noise" some kind of post-processing that the game has on top of film grain? I'm guessing the film grain in Reno is not the game's default but rather perceptual film grain?

do i need hdr in game off or on?
on
Thank you.
I was using "reset all" aka defaults with just the game/ui brightness turned down to 160 (I always find 203 super high) but have been enjoying "Match SDR" with both at 160 also. It lifts a little bit of the "thin veil" I see with defaults
Iāve only played about an hour of this but tbh Iāve got mixed feelings in the combat loop so far. I donāt hate it but idk, thinkin about refunding and getting later on sale.
I didnāt play the demo, was sure Iād gel with it
I would say it gets more complex, with more options available and more positional awareness and speed of thought required. But it's largely the same loop
I find the combat so good and innovative
I need to finish it before being sure but Iām pretty sure this game can become an instant classic. Itās so good and fresh
I'm enjoying it a lot as well
The aesthetic and vibes are a big part of it too. It has me hooked, I wish I had time to play more
Real. I couldnāt play today and Iām ITCHING
Time for unknown signal!
the combat loop is the best thing about this game tbh, it feels so good once you unlock more nodes and hacking abilities coupled with the variety of weapons and tools at your disposal. it feels really satisfying
Default settings (reset all), set your peak brightness, game brightness and ui brightness accordingly.
I also dispabled noise and film grain
No need for a flame war, I have a 83ā G5 and a 55ā S95F
@midnight stream Isn't that more a TV vs monitor thing? Even the mini LED monitors i look at seem to at best get around 1400 nits
There is no flame war ever between TV vs monitor, it is clear as day - TV for brightness and colors, Monitors for refresh rate and PPI.
Assuming we are only talking about OLEDs
Monitors are just worse TV panels tbh
The way the combat is tickling my brain reminds me of Astral Chain. Thatās not a good/bad thing, just a thing. The hacking while playing thing kinda takes me out of it a bit. I think I just need more time with it, but eh, itās not calling me right now.
I was trying to put it more politelyā¦
finished the game and the combat never clicked with me. I would have honestly enjoyed a Vanquish style gameplay. Also I think the original idea had some Metroidvanias mechanics which have been scrapped, it is clear to me that looking at some skills you unlock after mid game
and those skills are almost useless with this type of gameplay
I mean it's not a bad thing, IIRC Monitor Panels even come from the same panels as the TV ones just cut to a smaller size
And that comes with the caveat of worse brightness
Astral Chain was ok but it just looked so abysmal on the Switch I had to give up
man that game was amazing
i actually described pragmata as dead space x astral chain when asked last week heh
i wonder if it looks any better on switch 2
freaking nintendo wont let me use my nintendo ticket to redeem rhythm heaven groove because my ticket expire on june and the game release on 2nd julyš i have never tried astral chain should i redeem that insteadš
I dont know why but the game crashes sometime during the upgrades or cabin stamps menu

Noise is the build in game shader
Film grain is renodx shader
Probably shouldn't use both at the same time
OHHHHHHH. I thought film grain was the games own
I reset to a default of 25 and left noise at 100
I guess I should probably take the grain out then
ye the naming is confusing
Ok now that makes sense then.
Noise = Game's native film grain or whatever garble noise they added
Film grain = reno's perceptual film grain shader
right?
Correct
No I just really dont like Samsungs. I upgraded 3 times in past 6 years each time to a large 65 flagship oled. 3 times i compared them side by side to lgs. Samsungs OLEDs are .. curious. Colors are fake. Highlights die in seconds. But everyone loves them. I dont get it. 4000 nits? it holds 2500 for a second when g5 holds it permanently
I know I remember! you have 2 5090s you are clearly successful and knowledgeable. but ... i just dont get Samsungs. They .. S95F (at 65) didnt hold 2500 nits for me for any time.
Thatās ok. I also have the G5 and I like both š
Ye but what other TV can do 3000 nits yellow?
Checkmate, atheists
My S95F does measure at 4200 nits with a Klein 10A though. Not that you would like it I understand
Not if you max it out at 4200 nits white at a 3% window no
But for specular highlights it does hold
amazing. mine just didnt. it would spike and die in brightness decay to half in 3-4 seconds when g5 didnt. im starting to think maybe bad unit
What yellow are you talking about?
The @nocturne walrus yellow
I'm still using LG C3 and I think it's around 800 nits. Same goes with my oled monitor
My C4 83ā before my G5 was also around that.
Left side is a screenshot of my HDR recording tonemapped to SDR by Youtube. Right is from a big "playthrough" channel, I'm guessing he's playing and recording in SDR. AFAIK his settings are pretty much the same 4K, PT, all max, RR Quality.
Any idea why mine seems to have more "hair strands"? Hair seems more volumous overall for some reason.
Not complaining, I see it as better, just curious.
But the 83ā C4 was dimmer than the smaller ones
The C series always was ~800nit in 10% iirc
Even the C5 and C6 barely reach 1000
it's the G series where it's at
that taskbar height
professional calibrator laptop
I will just put it out there - G5 is great for mixed use and I prefer it for contents watching, but when it comes to gaming it isnāt even close to the S95F in terms of color volume and specular highlights.
I know 4000 nits sounds cringe but you gotta actually see it to believe.
didn't this TV have a shit ton of issues though? Cause of the one connect box or something. Even though the bezel is disgusting I was actually contemplating the S95H this year since the G6 is turning out to be an absolute shit show but I dunno. (to replace my C9)
What shit tons of issue exactly? You mean DSC at 165Hz? Anything else? I am not defending it but I honestly have yet to see any issue.
Its CMS is broken and you have to calibrate colors in service menu thatās the other problem I know.
it doesn't
koklusz and musa are just coping
even lilium is full all in to 10 000 nits
Or just measure ITP delta E
Have you measured the modded S95F?
i don't havev one
We kept ITP delta E <5 that should take care of luminance as well?
We couldnāt even get the G5 to achieve that
But for some reason within DCI p3 the G5 does look more natural in watching shows
EOTF for 4000 nits
If I were you I would just get the G5. Great panel for general use. G6 looks washed out in comparison
anyone else feel like PT looks like an oil painting and is really blurry in pragmata? when I look at the distant objects in the city area, it looked like RR was getting really confused what to do and it seemed really unstable
If you donāt mind the price and can find one, Panasonic Z95B is the best TV in terms of HDR accuracy (lowest ITP delta E). S95F is a close second. Too bad the Panasonic only comes in 77ā otherwise I would have snatched one.
Canāt it be fixed with fw updates tho?
65 is the max I can get unfortunately, plus my usage is like 80% gaming and 20% plex
When did Lilium say this
hush
She used to believe in luminance tonemapping too
10 000 nits
Until Troy showed us the light
well troy can say what he wants I use your mod per channel whatever and I see more details
than 1000 nits
so it's all that matters

hah chekmate @frosty gust
the GOAT has answered
report
Me when I cherry pick statements.
And crop out the part where she said, current OLEDs shouldn't go above 1k
Cause that beats my 4k nits yellow narrative

Crying in white oled
In 8k

Hair physics are inherently unpredictable, meaning they can look different every time a cutscene is rendered, your hair isnāt actually more voluminous than theirs, it just happened that in that specific frame it settled differently, making it appear fuller
Im mentally challenged does anyone know why this debug hud wont go away? Pragmata is the only game that it shows up in and I have no idea why š
Do you have optisclaler or dlss swapper?
Do you have dlsstweaks or anything else like that
If not, get it and set the global hud override to off
Nope only used nvidia profile inspector to pick and choose presets/dlls
Dont have it will install it and give it a try ty
I agree
Sadly didnt work. Already is off both in DLSSTweaks and in regedit too. I have no idea what is forcing it on and why only in Pragmata
Isnt this the default in most mods? Iām missing something
looks bad in RE9 and Pragmata
Huh? I thought the G6 was overall a bit better than the G5
Use Rcas
this does not fix anything
it reminds me of DLSS1 look which is kinda crazy
Looks amazing to me at 45% res tbh so I donāt know
already off
Then no idea
it's the PT - RR that is the problem
just setting RT on has no such problem but a different one which is capcoms denoiser
I kinda found a middle ground with some tweaks tho so it's fine I guess
In my system and screen it looks good. Not perfect but good enough, but with RR itās never gonna look as sharp sadly
yeah I never really use path tracing so this just made me disappointed if more than anything
RR image quality is always bad in PT, you just have to accept it for all of the other benefits of PT
rr4.5 anyday now
Honestly was a bit disappointed by PT in this game, it doesn't look as good as other PT games, for same reason a lot of stuff seems to be excluded from the BVH and many elements have that floaty look, on top of course of the blurriness of RR
Some RCAS makes it bearable.
But yeah, can't wait for better RR
use output scaling
unable to tell the difference with output scaling even using A/B screenshot compare
Oo I think it looks incredible, could it be better? Sure but what we have rn is really good imo
This is true though! Btw are the cars on the NY section supposed to be floating?! I think none of them are touching the asphalt?
now it just needs glory kills mod
@slow sparrow Soon mate, soon. I just take my time with it in portions.
lunatic died from walkers 2 hits
that sounds lunatic
Brighter yes. WOLED's white sub pixel seems to be affecting colors in higher brightness though. I am also hoping it can be fixed to make it a true step-up. This problem was also pointed out by Vincent in HDTVTest.
Huh so itās worse than the G5? I thought it was the same but a bit brighter and banding/posterization improved
Right now, in terms of mid tone colors only, G5 is better.
I never care about banding in the games I play. Only in games with simple texture or in movies would you notice it. Or if you just stare at the sky in an open world game.
Interesting
I know how cringe Quantum TV is, and he is a Samsung shill, but if you want to know about the problem you can watch his G6 takes.
You don't want to know then š It's good
And he didnāt point out any flaring negatives
Most reviews don't or just mention it in one sentence.
Which is actually insane? Cursory look at avforums and avsforums and itās very clear itās a shit show. HGIG doest even work
Most big Youtubers on this topic are just shills to be honest. And Reddit basically views TV=LG. Letās just say LG has the best market dominance
I would rate my LG as the best all rounder
For specific use Iād rather ask any LLM with specific constraints which should give you a more objective answer than Reddit or YouTube
Like āRank the current flagship OLEDs for best vibrancy in hdr gaming with RenoDXā
Or āRank the current flagship OLEDs in terms of color accuracy for movie watching prioritizing creatorās intentā
I have a Z95B with windows calibration set peak brightness to 2400 because thats what Rtings say it is in Game mode but the window calibration tool clips at 2000
I would be happy with 2000 nits on that set. Color accuracy is its strongest suit not brightness
@feral kindle Idk what's happening here, but these black blotches on the branches appear when using your mod. This is with PT and all default settings in your mod
LOD seems really broken
does anyone have the latest version of lazor lua mod? both lite and normal version if possible
#1475553827255222486 message
bless you
yep, so far basically no one has spoken of the big G6 issues, mainly that HGIG does NOT work at all. That's a huge one...
I'm feeling tempted by the S99H tbh, but I read people saying there's glow on the s95h 55" but not on 65" and above? Read this on the avforums oO I think near blacks or blacks
That is what a couple experienced. Classy did not get perfect black measurement at 0%. To me that is a major issue and I don't see how reviews could rate it highly with that flaw. I was 100% set to get it before that. Now I am leaning back to s90f because at least the 2025 color bug issue can be worked around.
White subpixel is the main problem I have with the lg, but (in assume) it it's not such a deal breaker for the G5 and G6 that perform much better than the older C series I was using. They habe to fix the hgig tho wtf lol. Albeit to be fair, samsung at some point broke it too.
I am staying with 95 series exactly because of the antiglare coating (it is that good), the TV is actually completely usable now besides being in a dark cave. I can open windows and let all the warm sunshine in and enjoy whathever I want (except the most dark games which would suck even more jf you have a glossy, it is now still fine even in such a situation you can still see everything) it just feels nice not having to be stuck in a dark room all the time. The 95H is horrible with that metallc frame tho, I would never buy that, just as I didn't the Philips models with integrated ugly ass unnecessary soundbar you can't remove, just completely failed the target audience that picks a premium TV a lot of them probably have a hifi or their own audio solution, why force an unremovable soundbar... Or that metal frame..
isn't that the 99H? 95H doesn't have the metallic frame. Also looks like 95H has forced one connect box? at least according to this:
https://www.sammobile.com/news/samsung-s95h-vs-s99h-oled-tv-differences/
For example, in the UK, Samsung sells both the S95H and the S99H, while in the US, the S99H is marketed as the S95H.
ah
why
Yes my bad, their naming scheme is a bit dumb
The metal frame iirc is thankfully not a thing in eu
I don't really mind the frame to be honest, if the TV is incredible. But it is yet another crevice / area to accumulate dust >_>'
Saw someone on avforums that covered it with some sort of matte black tape and it looked much better lmao
It reflects light even in a dark room it's awful
Smart I would probably do that too or maybe even try painting it over
this guy did it lool
He sprayed it? Was it doable with the edges?
black tape
There's gotta be a way to not make it look ghetto
Black painters tape
If you could separate and protect the screen well enough I would consider matte black spray of some kind
the question is, what exactly is the difference between (UK naming) S99H and S95H apart from the bezel? It looks exactly the same, unless S95H comes with one connect box mandatory, no onboard ports, thus potentially having issues?
I find it hilarious whenever LG people rail on the Samsung's matte coating, saying that it will raise black in a bright room, yet in a bright room people are literally looking at their own reflections on an LG, which is like 1000% worse than the raised black on the S95F (if even noticeable in lighted condition). I have to control lighting with thick curtains whenever I do any serious content watching on my 83" G5.
But I do feel that G5 offers more natural colors especially in SDR movies.
Exactly, idk what other owners are saying but for me this is something I want on every oled now its total game changer
Black level is meaningless when a reflection is staring back at you
It's a cool thing to see a glossy deep black void but in practice it's not usable
Whoa, I wonder what's up. Let me take a look at that area to see if it's happening to me too
Saw some lod issues in the new york level too, but way less noticeable than the terra dome
does this happen with RT too?
Turns out I was just blind af and had to have claude point it out to me
Still no idea what triggered it on
Is it impossible to run reshade without reframework here?
@cinder oyster I'm not seeing it
Can you hit the default button and redo the setting?
There are some stutters with fg/reflex and reframework that may not be there without it, but it crashes on startup with reshade if reframe isn't present
Okay clicking default seems to fix it. But on a fresh install it appears to be broken, deleted the data folder as well
Ah, interesting. Maybe I should tell people to hit default button first set up
Thanks for letting me know though
Thanks for the mod. Is the RT/PT LOD setting the same as the RT culling angle setting in lazorr's script?
I think it's different but it probably does the same thing
the setting I exposed is called CullingAngle in the game, I am sure you lower it
Ah, okay. I know I had culling angle option for MHWilds
from my testing it's the exact same thing
It's weekend time baby .... the good mods start to roll in now
I haven't been able to properly enjoy the game without these options from the start, ty god
why only a texture tho, no 3d pubes?
sry, couldn't resist the /s
are these 2 settings the same?
u dont need to increase radiance cache ray bounces
I see. Thx
atleast for me, i only have the top path tracing ones on 5, and the bottom one off, only radiance cache on
man radiance cache bring my fpr from 102 to 118. Have to remember for when it crashes
and turn it off
it's real time right? don't have to restart my game to take effect
nope u dont gotta restart
that's nice. thank you again
where are these options from? I don't see it on reframework
a recent update or?
ah AMD only
If you scroll up someone linked it to me here
game seems visibly more demanding with PT than RE9 was on my 5080 at all times
if it does boost averages it would be great
what's pissing me off more than that is random stutter that isn't there with RE9
Be careful that radiance caching crashes after one boss fight apparently. You need disable it, pass that point and then you can enable it again
I just passed the second boss, the one after the 6 gates in the NYC area
is it a later fight?
u passed that so u r safe to turn it back on
nice, gonna try it out asap then
it goes into the reframework folder?
btw, is the occassional stutter with framegen+reflex+reframe unavoidable?
nvm I see it goes to autorun
just bought the game, newest reno version is from 19 april ?
Yeah, there's a lot of floaty objects including the characters
so they can put functioning rgb subpixels on the screens in the game but not grounded cars?
Is E or D the better choice for RR?
E by faaaaaar for this game
This is what I asked yesterday, EEVERY SIBGLE CAR
I thought ok is it because weāre on tge moon?
Or is it absolute garbage qa
I wonder if it's for gameplay reason. Hard to say lol
is there anywhere I can find reccommended settings for the different games?
hey, I havent been able to follow this channel that much, is there any tweaks recommended to do for this game?
use preset E, radiance cache and the reflections angle tweak... ugh let me find it
radiance cache crashes game when you come to a certain bridge early in the game
but it gives a good fps boost should keep it on elsewhere
culling angle to 1 iirc
#1475553827255222486 message
maybe even 0
thank you so much!
i have another question, I havent really used neither NVPI or DLSS swapper
if I wanted to only change the preset with it but use the Nvidia app for other settings, which one is better for that?
Before you ask PT+RR is mandatory, that's why preset E (gets rid of boiling)
You have to use NVPI
Make sure you change the right value don't be a noob like I was
ahh okay
but like I can change preset D to E, then leave it alone and use Nvidia app for other stuff right?
or does it conflict with the app?
#1475553827255222486 message
There's no option to change RR specific presets in Nvidia app
It will default to whathever the game is using in this case D
ahh so if I open the NVIDIA App after I changed to E with NVPI it will automatically revert to D? So I should avoid using and opening nvidia app until finishing the game?
Nvidia app cannot interact with RR specific presets, it's only for K/L/M
You can force it to whathever you want there it won't matter because once you turn on RR (PT in this game) it takes over priority and swaps to only available model which is D or E
What does the reflections angle do?
the higher the angle the further it reduces reflections visibility
it just has no performance impact its so weird why default is so aggressive
I see thank you so much for the help!
Huh, weird
you all use the Match SDR preset ?
It's the best one.
RR 4.5 any day now, right?
just change it to 0 and call it a day
I saw some weird denoising issues right after changing this in some cutscenes. Not sure if it was coincidence
addind dinput8.dll manually or through RHI makes my game not launch, just stuck black screen and reshade menus. Any idaes? Tried older versions dinput8.dll versions too, same thing.
culling angle has nothing to do with denoising, it just impacts culling of smaller objects from the bvh
Ohhh gotcha
Btw, what in the shit LoDs is this
(spoiler cause of late game weapons)
It was a room full of textures like this lol
This game“s textures are truly atrocious at times, way worse than Requiem
hmm, maybe you can force max lods on all the time with the enhancement mod
it has options for it
see if it changes it
Which mod?
Thanks!
do you know what the % costs of using the mod?
no clue, it's all engine tweaks you can toggle individually
disable culling under RT/PT
and turn on radiance caching when using PT
you can turn off the film grain too
What's your spec vultix?
I'm not him but do you have any recommended settings for PT and a 5070ti?
what res
1440p
maybe try DLAA with radiance caching on and use FG for higher refresh I guess
Will do! Thanks
radiance works great but dont use it in second zone it crashes in several spots
Yep, and if you still want more performance, can drop DLAA to dlss quality mode.
ghosting is pretty bad for me in some cases not sure why, even just Diana walking slowly in the shelter leaves big ghosting artifacts behind her
I use FGx2 but still its not this bad in other games
lol

per channel AP1 / luminance
- added hue retention slider
5070ti, 5800X3D, 4K
https://www.nexusmods.com/pragmata/mods/60?tab=description anyone uses this mod ?
Yes, but I'm using PT so there's only a few settings that do anything
This happens to me (and apparently several others too), but I think deleting the file shader.cache2 in the game directory and letting the game rebuild some shaders may fix it. Haven't played long since trying but it didn't crash in the menu and it wasn't hitching anymore
I had the same happen to me in those menus, but instead of crashing, it just freezed for 1s every 5 seconds or so, but turning off "Shadow resolution Ultra" fixed that for me, might be a VRAM issue? not sure
What settings are you using ?
Just these, make sure to click the Default button before changing settings
Any1 know of a way to disable the stupid dualsense lightbar?
it's like max brightness white for no reason
@umbral nebula On steam, go into settings > Controller > Calibration & Advanced Settings > LED Settings
does not work for native DS games
AC shadows had the same issue where default is just max brightness white
Oh dang, not sure then lol. I'm still using a ps4 controller
So I got the Renodx mod to work but reframework takes forever to initialize. The game takes several minutes to start because of this - does anyone know how to solve this?
black tape š i didnt notice the lightbar all the time when using dualsense tbh lol
Just done taping it
10/10
Isnāt there a setting for that in the PlayStation Accessories app
there is to dim it, but some games don't care about it for whatever reason
i think in SK there is an option to have it fully off / dim and so on
goated
there is and it works
tried DSX as well and that didn't work either
DSX is almost useless imo
is Disable Small Object Culling the same as setting Culling Angle on Lazor's script to 1 or 0?
And why not turn on Force PT Shadows btw?
No, Disable LOD (RT/PT) is the same as culling angle 0. Force PT shadows I think just disables the fallback shadows in the distance? Idk it looks worse to me and increases performance slightly, so I don't think it's a visual improvement
Hmm so what is small object culling then? Oo
On the page thereās a couple of screen comparisons on force pt shadows on and off
Pretty big difference on those particular screenshots
I'm guessing it forces small objects, like maybe trash on the ground to render at any distance. I didn't notice a difference with it on or off in the scenes I tested, but it has no to minimal performance cost
Yeah those are the fallback shadows because the game doesn't render PT shadows that far into the distance. Enabling Force PT Shadows just disables those and I think it looks worse. It's not replacing the fallback shadows with PT shadows, it's just disabling them
I actually used it on the city area and it looks good.
for ppl who beat game with radiance cached enabled, does it crash anywhere else other than 2nd map 2nd section-ish?
Only area I avoided with it.
I feel like I ran around the entire section and never crashed. I'll check it out again
I did it today too but it def still crashes at least for me
and not only ||at the door after the big fight with all the robots, right before the ladder ||, but also when you go left afterwards and up the zipline
but if thats the only section that crashes in the whole game then thats all good
Any performance hit?
Got a 4090 but planning on using PT and noticed from benchmarks that some of the more open areas can be quite heavy
use radiance cache and youre good at 4k performance or balanced with FG x2. should be over 100fps
can confirm. starting area I was at 118 fps with 4k performance fg x2 with a 5070 ti
how about area 2 and 3 ?
drops into the 90s and 80s at some spots for me also 5070ti
didn't play this far. been busy
thanks so it is comparable to my uwqhd experience in 3440x1440 with 5070Ti and DLSS Q with PT
np
For me it was around 100-115 fps with DLSS 4.5 performance and fg x2 on 5080 (115fps is my limit with gsync on 120hz display)
that's 4k i assume ?
so if we use PT, most of the settings are not working? because I am keep changing settings but nothing changes in the graphics honestly
Yeah most settings don't do anything with PT. All the settings shown in my screenshot are the only ones worth changing, you can try Force PT Shadows too. Radiance Cache as well if you need a performance increase
yeah the lite script I posted early on has just the settings for PT more or less
everything else is for RT
why does the game look better when turning off apply pre tone map curve and putting ACES mid gray to 4.8
its more contrast
means you like more contrast
hmmmmm you dont like more contrast ?
no
ok maybe turning off apply pre tone map curve adds a litte bit to much contrast. but 4.8 ACES does look better than only match sdr preset
nvm match sdr is still best looking. sorry for wasting your time sir
i am like a little girl that doesnt know what it wants
futuristik atmosferini
He's also made your mods for RE games completely obsolete, sorry to tell you

It was a good run Musa.
bruh
it's this as usual
Did anything become of this? The huge stutter spikes with FG and reflex are still annoying af
Yep. had a similar comment saying their reshade mod is better than mine lol
that looks like ps3 era vaseline
that is embarassing, whoever likes that has some serious mental problems
A lot of people like stuff like that considering how popular shitty reshade mods are on nexus pages of every game
People just see more color and be like
can anyone tell me what the reframework config for max path tracing is?
got new graphics card and want to crank this shit
#1475553827255222486 message
Iām using both but johienās mainly focused on rt and raster improvements
The lod settings in johiens can still be beneficial for pt tho
#1475553827255222486 message
This is all you can really improve with PT
JoHien's mod
Thanks guys
nvm got it
where is the actual file at this link?
What file?
Thatās just a pull request
What exactly do these do?
Is it normal with this game that opening the menus pushes the GPU to full load?
Yes, FG gets disable at the main screen and menus
FG and dlss it seems š
and laggy when you are in that upgrade screen for some dumb reason
I think it lags when loading videos of the upgrades
it lags even if you hide the video
Should SDR eotf be set to off or 2.2? (Playing HDR peak 10000 qD oled)
peak 10000 qd-oled? lol
you should probably leave it at the default of renodx, which is neither of those but something else, iirc ACES Low nits or something like that
Yeah default for match HDR is off
yeah but you should probably not use the match SDR/HDR buttons unless you want that
as far as I know, clicking match HDR means get me closer to the broken HDR implementation
ideally you probably want to use the defaults (reset all button) and just adjust your peak brightness to your monitors peak brightness and then lower game/UI brightness sliders if you think it's too bright
i guess in the end it's personal preference, but I think the mod author (Musa) intends for you to use the defaults already set by him
yes
Juuuuuuust in case someone stumbles upon this Discord/thread, latest ReShade nightly for 6.7.3 does not like Pragmata with RenoDx. If you revert to stable, it works fine. š I figured that out after lots of trial and error/configuration.
Is anyone else experiencing artifact issues after the latest AMD driver 26.5.1. ? I get small green dots flickering around my screen
anyone experience ui flicker with the renodx mod?
maybe it's somewhere mentioned here but search function shows nothing
nvm i think it's fg, idk why it's on haha - edit: nvm didnt fix anything
no flickering here either. 4k dlss perf + FG x2
Yeaterday i finished this game but something was very broken with prerendered videos, credit roll was periodically freezing for several seconds
ye same also menus
not sure what caused it
whats the consensus..... path tracing on or off for this game? I hear 'ON' makes the game too bright
on always
yeah PT on no brainer if you can afford the perf. loss
On, but it's one of the weaker implementations of PT, don't expect RE9 PT, it's not as good
launching the game after a fresh win install. very cool, 5090 on latest drivers btw
It's ok, your PC clearly doesn't like your GPU but I can take it off your hands, DM me
Probably the issue is the latest drivers
Wait what? I thought it was considerably better than RE9
I heard it was better than re9
The boiling was really annoying in re9 and I donāt remember being annoyed by it here
Yep no boiling for me either on Preset E, but RE9 was atrocious
RT culling at 0 made a huge difference too and some other tweaks
What Musa said. The only thing that RE9 is quite nice out of the box is all RT shadows and no shadow map fallback. Of course, Pragmata have the option with mods lol
Re9 had some noisy raster hair shadows blended in and noisy flashlight shadows in multiple areas vanilla so it's definitely not a straight win in that aspect either
Yeah and it looks very broken in places, too stylized game.
For me personally without knowing implementation details Pragmata PT mode felt very raster heavy
There were objects without casting any shadows and specular reflections shining through walls everywhere
Imo RE9 was better, more boiling yes, but better coverage and overall look, pragmata seems to have a lot of assets not covered by PT and can look off at times
From a non technical perspective Pragmata looked more impressive and consistent to me. But you could be right
RE9 can look photoreal at times, pragmata not so much, even if it's more visually stable
Mmmmmm I had the exact opposite reaction
Cause the instability in Requiem ruins all immersion
Sure it depends on how much the instabily bothers you, it didn't bother me that much
the boiling was really bad in the lab
also that part at the very start with the fence
I guess I'm not as sensitive to boiling as other people, Pragmata does have boiling too, it also never bothered me
i have a general question: I am on a WOLED (LG G5 TV) and in many games when there is (volumetric) fog or even bright sunrays creating a sort of haze effect that my eyes find really irritating / straining. i did not experience this on my old C9. is this due to the limitation of WOLEDs and the white subpixel combined with high nits? or is it just my eyes that suck š
in pragmata it is kind of bearable but e.g. nioh3 i had to turn off all the fog bc i was getting headaches
the game crashed for me as the credits started to roll lol, no idea if that was because of my overclocking but I don't think so
I found online that I should disable frame gen for the credits so I did, luckily it saved the game not so far from the credits
very impressed by the path tracing and renodx pushing dci-p3 & bt2020 in this game, never saw those colors on my monitor lol
doesn't G5 have that issue where you can see the web of pixels, i don't know how to describe
ah yes, the diagonal lines because of dithering
it's probably not it but it reminded me on it, this thing had a lot of issues on release, not sure how it is now
same
Reduce game brightness. Itās probably too high. I experienced something similar while I was getting used to the G5
Pretty solid
Heās probably just experiencing what 2.5K nits does to your eyes since the C9 wasnāt as bright. You really canāt use the G5 full power in certain games/room environments cause itās straining
I DIED with 2.5K highlights in Ninja Gaiden 4 for example since itās so fast paced. Had to turn game brightness considerably down so my eyes didnāt tap out lol
that game is capped at 1k nits
maybe that's why it looked bad if you used anything to deep fry it
and I know how 2k+ nits look like i have an S95F, you can certainly use it at "full" power with good hdr like pragmata
Huh? I used Reno
Yeah with pragmata I didnāt have issue either. Iām just saying in some particular cases like the one he describes it can cause strain. And we donāt all have the same eyes
oh i wasn't aware that game was modded. but it shouldn't be straining, unless it actually looks like autohdr (everything way too bright cursed shading and tonemapping)
anyway i don't think they would have to reduce brightness to get rid of "the haze effect" not sure what that could be tbh (sounds like chromatic aberation.. or.. wait..
maybe they mean RT boiling???
no they say its specific to volumetric fog, had to turn it down in nioh3
huh, i have no idea what that could be
Do you have a screenshot neo?
it wasn't my issue #1475553827255222486 message we're trying to puzzle what this is about
sounds like posterisation or something, which i remember G5 had issues with on release
and you were specifically told you had to use FMM for games
idk, there was so much crap with that tv when it came out i just did a big old dodge around it
Wdym vanilla?
Do you mean reframework or
JoHienās mods
vanilla = without any mods to fix the noise
raccoon city vanilla is just a complete noisefest in indirectly lit areas with PT
I didnāt find out about JoHiens mods until today
Finished with all that boiling

the very first area with grace also has insane flashlight shadow noise vanilla
Pragmata flashlight looks significantly worse than requiem, almost like its not getting path traced. Also the interaction with transparencys is plain broken, point the flashlight at glas and the glas gets white and you cant look through it anymore.
the more i read about it the more i believe this tv really is cursed. sorry for anyone that has it and has to suffer all that
If youāre 1m from the tv like that guy yeah. Youāre gonna see the dithering cause its not optimized for such close viewing distances
At a normal viewing distance of 2m+ for 65inch itās completely invisible
For close viewing QD OLED is probably way superior indeed
I second this a lot tho. TV enthusiast discourse can be so pedantic at times (probably each trying to validate the huge money spent on their particular tv)
āQD OLED is betterā āNo WOLED is betterā bruh cmon both have strengths and weaknesses but in the high end they are both top notch
what @manic jacinth said. all the issues this guy describes in that reddit are there but they are barely visible when using the G5 as a TV not a monitor. if you're looking for a large OLED monitor , do not buy the G5.
anyway, back to my original question: i found out that RenoDX HDR actually makes the problem a lot worse with the fog. it is really hard to desribe but disabling Reno makes the fog less eye-searing on this TV. i will do more testing and fiddle w settings
Based on what you say Iām 95% confident is the game brightness setting. Have you tried lowering it?
well in pragmata (or any RE engine game) there is no "normal" brightness slider in HDR you have to adjust shadows/paper white individually? correct me if i am wrong. or do you mean adjust brightness via Reno menu?
Via Reno yeah
āGame brightnessā
so drop from 203 or whatever is default
Default should be 203. Try 170 or so and see if itās less annoying
You can safely move between 140-203 range without lessening HDR impact
will do but i have a feeling that it will become hard to make out things in darker scenes?
thanks anyway!
Itās not the same as reducing exposure or something. It just lowers the paper white nit value I believe. Worth a shot tho
isn't this something similair that they're talking about? some weird grain in near black content? but you're saying youre fog is... bright?
no it is the other way around, i was complaining about it being too bright/eye searing š
if i'm not mistaken G5 has been known to be pretty bad dealing with near blacks (compared to qds) vincent showcased this in his reviews
yeah the fog stuff, that's weird, i'm still trying to find out what that actually is
and it doesn't get any better changing to perceptual film grain and removing CA?
so far disabling RenoDX helped a lot. will try @manic jacinth workaround
its not CA i've disabled all of that including bloom et al for testing
there's also plenty of other settings in this mod how gamma is handled, but this seems to be a bigger issue that's not just a slight gamma or brightness adjustment
and you don't get that when you disable reno that is just completely bonkers to me
because the default game is even more aggresively bright in it's hdr from the comparisons i looked at
#1475553827255222486 message
Thatās itās only weakness yeah. Itās not dramatic or bad by any measure tho. Itās just an enthusiast nitpick
@ivory stirrup as i said this might entirely be a "me-problem" -- i mean the wife confirmed it sort of but she doesnt have a clue anyway š
yeah why do women always seem to be completely apathetic to tech and even more so things like hi-fi, I've never seen a single one in this space, it's always the guys that go full geek mode for this stuff
i could stand around explaining for hours how amazing modern oled tech is and not a single woman would care one jack shit "it's just a tv"
That was my experience at least
Idk but my wife can tell OLED TV looks better than LCD/LED TV. Probably why she got me a OLED monitor as a chrismas gift.
Does Nexus has the latest RenoDX build ?
so should I configure my display with the in game settings and then configure the reno settings on top of it or do I leave in game settings at default
in game settings do nothing unless you set tonemapper to vanilla
same here
Only when using ACES tone mapper. In vanilla it doesn't
are more rectangulars than dots š (and not only green but also purple) i hope you can see that
I Returned a highend model for a mid range cause I sit 90cm from the TV
What the hell lol
Why would you even sit a meter away from a 65-70"?
You don't even get the full display in your FOV
I agree that sounds dumb and way too close but can't deny G5 has issues which it shouldn't have for a flagship model, specially how broken it was at launch, and not everything is or was fixable
He should also have went for the S95F, but matte haters gonna hate. Most owners will agree that the coating is not an issue and a net benefit, it still trumps the G5 in pretty much everything that matters
So both sitting too close with the G5 that is known to have visible dithering is a mistake as is going for the 90 instead of 95, but apparently that user is happy now even with a dimmer display because so many other issues bothered him with the G5
at what point does reducing paper white lessen hdr impact? below 140 like you said? Isn't it tied to the panel's peak nits?
oO jesus, that's scary, that looks exactly like vram dying
The "impact" should still be there even at 100 that's just lowering the average mid point, and is entirely dependent on your viewing setup, content, and your eye adaption at the moment. I would agree at around 140 is a comfortable range before it's starting to become feeling dim, even in a dark room, but sometimes you can go even in lower
A bright game like borderlands I tend to turn down quite a lot, a dark game with lots of fog like silent hill can be played at 100 and still have a lot of impact when it matters, otherwise the sections with the fog will make the picture too bright in the wrong way. And for pragmata, I actually like it much higher here, closer to 200. It really depends
But I don't think it is, it does that only on Pragmata with the Renodx on ACES tone mapper
Yes itās exactly the same as I am experiencing. I initially thought my vram was dying. But Iāve tried different games and like you mentioned either using the vanilla tone mapper or just removing renodx gets rid of the issue.
Unfortunately since the aces tone mapper looks so much better to me š„²
Btw, my gpu is an AMD 7800xt on the lastest drivers
Yes Iām on a 7900xt myself. Only thing I didnāt try yet is revert to the previous driver to see if that resolves it. But honestly I think I wonāt.
So the drivers from yesterday still cause the same issues? 26.5.2?
oh I apologize, I didn't know that yesterday new drivers came out, updating right know and i'll let you know
I havenāt installed the latest one yet either but will try later : )
Ok, just installed 26.5.2 and the issue is still there
Iām not an expert so I canāt give you a exact value. But my understanding is that around 140-150/203 is generally safe
Thanks for letting me know
Hi have a question. Pre tone map better on or off ? Hdr mode
off is more punchy but I think exposure and contrast look more balanced with it on
my understanding: on is more closer to sdr (original intent) off is closer to vanilla "here you have your hdr"? but we don't know if it was their intent to make hdr version more over exposed or a mistake?
I'm trying to understand this but I'm just too dumb
(like, why is this incorrect? what does it mean it's missing?)
I fully agree on this about making it more pleasing (easier, natural?) to look at, but i think i can speak for most of us that we actually do enjoy our games being a bit more vibrant/punchy with the highlight exposure
Could be that they actually graded the game in HDR so SDR is wrong
In a 2023 presentation on Re engine capcom said they would move to hdr grading and talked about the new post processing pipeline
But this game has leftover code from the old post processing pipeline
And has been in development for a while
that would actually make a lot of sense. i sure hope so they move to hdr grading as default, but how can they still not figure out the gamma missmatch?
just realising that would also "fix" a lot of the console hdr
if they move to hdr grading then gamma mismatch isn't real
sdr would actually be mismatched then
hdr would be what they actually intended while sdr is crushing
it's from reframework I believe
While some men are drowning, others are dying of thirst
Crimson Desert got fifty thousand updates to the point of making RenoDX mod too much effort to maintain and keep up with the patches
Meanwhile Pragmata:
I mean, if you get it right first time...
gamers when game gets a lot of patches: "why couldn't they finish the game day one"
gamers when a game is finished: "where are the patches"
TBH haven't encountered any issue with the game so far
And I just got to the last zone
The amount of patches in CD is unfortunately disruptive for a single player, it feels like a beta version, I have it paused on backlog until it gets a bit less with reno more stable
Its not a matter of a lot of patches or less, its a matter of stability, the only thing I'd say that CD is not at its best right now its the "displacement" that feels like low graphics, but besides that the game is very stable and very fun to play, I wouldn't mind patches coming in a bigger interval, like other single-players
When a game is buggy enough I just pause it, wait for the fixes and then go back to play and finish, CD is the first time that is the opposite hahaha
Same I paused it too, if you were into additional modding this was probably the worst pain in the ass to manage ever, it was fun to mess around with it for a while but things just kept breaking every patch at some point you have enough.
What's the current state of Reno and the consensus of the modders for that game right now? Iirc its working just missing some extra features that keep breaking?
And since it does feel like it's in early access I said well fuck it I'll just wait until it's "fully done" and get back to it then. Why bother managing a collection of mods for basic QoL features that are being added as core features of the game with patches anyway. Just wait
From my understanding, they are mods/reno are slowing down, which is okay, because it breaks every week and of course it gets tiring eventually, and its the same, I was using some QoL mods and reno, I know if I play game vanilla I'll be able to just play, but I got an oled monitor and reno really shines with HDR, its almost a matter of being a requirement to have reno in my games hahahah, so for now I'll wait
Just got back into gaming after a break, installed Johien's mod (was using Lazorr's script before), using PT Enhanced, plus ticked all fog stuff cause why not lol. But I'm getting very occasional stuttering like every 3 mins or so, just running around the safe hub area, can;t fully remember if this happened before. on latest nvidia drivers also
When those stutters happen theyāre pretty small tbh but annoying
Odd. Can you save the profile and share it with me? Let me think of which setting may be the culprit
Not at home, will do when I get back!
Whenever there are sudden lags delete the shader cache file in game directory and have the game rebuild them.
So what do you prefer, match SDR ?

Hi
I have a very strange problem that I've never encountered before in at least 20 games where I use RenoDX.
The game in question is Pragmatica. As soon as I activate RenoDX, a lot of green pixels appear on the screenānot just one or two, but dozens. Then, as soon as I deactivate RenoDX, all the green pixels disappear.
Does anyone have a solution, please? I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to, and it's impossible to play properly like this.
Thanks for your help.
I should point out that when I use the shortcut to take a screenshot, the pixels don't appear, so it's impossible to show it to you using that method.

That's what I said to him, yeah.
That's one of the early signs of GPU dying with those artifacts.
But they mentioned that it's only happening with one mod, and not others. And only with RenoDX enabled, and fixed.
Apparently AMD related bug?
Yeah, I figured but seems more unlikely on that, and more so some addon or software side fucking up.
Yeah
But seems like AMD issue.
I think that's @glad shale as well in that Reno comment? Not sure, might be able to chime in more.
If vanilla fixes it then itās probably something with my code
Anyway, it's nice of you to look into it. Please keep me informed if you ever find a solution. Thank you very much.
is this the latest? nexus is dated 19th of April
@midnight stag what gpu and what resolution you're playing at?
5090 4k
ultra performance upscaling right?
Hmm, not encountering stutter but I do know some section will have micro stutter regardless if your mods on or off. Did you already deleted your shader cache? Also, untoggle disable smallobjectsculling just to be on the safe side.
no no, Quality š Preset E FG2x
This was in a fresh win install, fresh drivers, fresh game install, but changed shader cache size on nvcp after compiling shaders (then rebooted ofc). And I was just running around the safe hub, it was like very far in between, not constant at all.
I did find it odd that first time building shaders was pretty fast (there's no way there were existing ones since fresh install of everything)
I believe the game uses an Eco Shader, similar to MHWilds' latest update, where it does a small initial shader compilation at startup so you can get into the game faster, and then continues compiling shaders in the background while you play.
That aināt me haha
@flint wigeon
Hi,
I'm just showing you the artifacts that appear when the game is running. However, I don't get any artifacts when I pause or during downloads, and it's definitely not my 7900 XTX. I play RE9 and MH Wilds with RenoDX without any problems. I should mention that I'm using OptiScaler to take advantage of FSR 4.0.2 while waiting for FSR 4.1 to finally be natively supported on July 26th. I just wanted to clarify this. Honestly, I also initially thought my GPU was failing, but no, because this is the only game where I have this problem. It's really strange...
Oh, sorry, I just saw that you pinged me. I'll go read your message...
Hi guys. Would you say this is a must play?
Don't worry, I wanted to show you a clip of the issue so you could tell me if it's the same thing
Oh yeah, you have the same problem. However, I haven't noticed any purple artifacts on my end, only green ones. It's hard to see like that, but I saw them on your end... Do you have an AMD GPU?
Yup, I have a 7800xt, and another user here with a 7900xt has the same issue as well
So yeah, it's something with AMD and\or the code of Renodx probably as Musa said earlier
Okay, so it seems to be confirmed that it's probably due to the AMD driver. We're talking about the 7800 XT, 7900 XT, and my 7900 XTX is having the problem... As I said, I usually use Optiscaler for FSR 4.0.2 on almost all my games with RenoDX, including several Capcom titles, and this is the only one that's causing the issue. I assume you're playing the base version. It's a shame, because the difference is really noticeable with RenoDXā¦
Btw, to all the guys working on this mods I want to say a big Thank You for your amazing work ā¤ļø
at the moment i'm not playing it, I want to wait for a fix to be honest. I would like to enjoy it in the best looking way possible
Oh yes, they do an exceptional job making the games look so much better; on my C4 it's simply magnificent in 4K.
I think I'll do the same and finish RE9, then go to Crimson Desert. Well, have fun and have a good day, bye š
And I'm really looking forward to July 26th to finally have native FSR4.1 on our RDNA3s, it's going to be so much better, even though it's already great with the INT8 version made by a modder...
there is no must play game. now, is the game good? yes. really good? yes. a masterpiece? no
I would say it's Stellar Blade tier. It's not like a "must must play!" but it's pretty damn good and doesn't outstay it's welcome. Doesn't take too long to beat and doesn't ask too much out of you, but delivers a lot of good stuff in a digestible package.
Basically there's no bloat, which I like. I'd say this is what I want from a AAA game, not a bloated Ubislop forever game, but a game that knows what it wants to do and show you and does that in a way that respects your time.
What works better in Pragmata in your opinion? With path tracing on, max graphics
1440p DLSS quality or DLDSR 2.25x which is 4k with DLSS performance?
4k dlss performance will look better. I use optiscaler output scaling instead of DLDSR, mostly because I find changing desktop resolutions to be very annoying
I installed AutoActions to help me with that, it automatically changes the resolution and turns on HDR when open the game because o also find it annoying hahaha
