Hi guys, I'm only about an hour into my first game and I'm having difficulty with something. Inventory is very full, so I created a storage chest. Trouble is, I can't figure out how to open or access it. It's sitting outside next to the house. Right clicking on it does nothing. Everything I can find says, "right click it", but the brown mouse cursor doesn't even change to a white hand when moving over it. Equipping various things does nothing to change the inability to open it. I can walk through it like it's not there. It's like the game doesn't recognize that it's there. Walking through it does bring up the "X Inventory Full" message.

Am I missing something obvious? Does it have to be placed inside? I'm only day 4, do I have to wait a little longer to make one? I thought I would be able to just create one and right click it to put things in it.

okay, I right clicked a piece of coal, and put it on the ground. When I did that, the chest disappeared from the map and 2 chests appeared in my inventory.

ok so the chest just wasnt placed on the ground then, you should be able to place it now in the spot you want, the ground will show up as a green box if it is a placeable spot

So it must have been something about how I crafted them.

ohhhh. So you shouldn't wait until your inventory is full to craft something. You have to craft a chest before your inventory fills up.

I think that's the name of it, when you hover the crops and whatnot, it tells you if they're watered, how long they have left

ui info suite can do that (show upon hover), lookup anything as well tho that one comes up as a popup not a hovering if that makes sense
