If you are looking for a lot of defense then I suggest trying Crabshell Ring but in my opinion healing is the key part to survival, there are great food such as cheese, or you can bring a lot of salmon berries, some food can even give Defense boost too

They also don't scale that well with quantity because the pigs are fighting each other for a limited area to make truffles in.
