Yeah it’s kind of a strange choice to add a sort of wireless crafting but make it extremely limited range which hinders items storage a little, most of other games I have played with a similar system have a very large radius so you create a sort of area for chests and then and and then a separate area for crafting stuff but it is what it is a I guess, hopefully they might change it one day 🙂

Hmm, dried purple mushroom does sell for 2660g with artisan. Endgame wise, with mushroom logs producing every 4 days (-1 day of rain) and lots of trees + dehydrators, dried purple mushroom could be a contender vs wine/keg. Not consider you can also tap the trees.
2660/4 = 665g per day is better than any wine profit per day
Ofc, this is end game and it got pros/cons

yeahh you can still play on that save after the update drops,, you’ll still have the new npcs n everything :) obviously no one’s completely certain about what is all going to be added but as of rn all i can say you would be missing out on is the option of choosing the new farm type. n if you rlly wanted to you could read the patch notes (only if you don’t mind potential spoilers obvi) when it does drop and see if there’s anything else that would make you consider starting a new save :)

I'm pretty sure ancient seeds take a full season to grow so yoi would be risking it very very heavily. I'd just wait until spring and save the seeds for spring so you can enjoy a full year of ancient fruit harvests

Also fishing, sc (if you have it), and animals are a good way to earn money during the winter

There's a lot of good maps. Hard to recommend just one. I've now tried most of them and they just have their unique features. Without knowing what you are trying to do it's hard to recommend any. 🙂

But 4C is great cos it's like a sampling of bit of everything.

my first ever session was spent pointing out the fun similarities between Stardew and Friends of Mineral Town/Back to Nature (the Harvest Moon games i grew up with), and then i found out about the zillion other things that neither FOMT nor BTN even had

sprinklers, scarecrows, all the artisan equipments, combat, a whole fishing mechanic, etc...

(i know FOMT/BTN has a fishing mechanic but there's not a minigame for it iirc, you just dip your rod in the water and hoist whatever came up)

idk it's been so long since i played FOMT/BTN
