i just started stardew super late (i guess 10 years late?!) but the game is awesome, wish i had given it a shot sooner. It reminded me of Harvest Moon 64 which i spent hundreds of hours playing as a kid.
After playing stardew i can tell that CA was strongly influenced by it too 🙂

you need a lot of wood in the game so make a tree farm and keep chopping and replanting trees, get plenty of wood and xp

a long term strat i devised; forage until you have 1 of each, make a packet of wild seeds, turn all those 10 into more seeds, and then convert the ones that are able in the seed maker
i had such a huge harvest for winter year 1
crazy enough, winter was my most profitable season year 1, when supposedly there isnt meant to be farming done xD
i know now that powdermelons are a relatively new addition, so im sure that was true at one time

Letting them out is only relevant if there's actual grass to eat.
Note that the aesthetic grass (very prominent on Forest farm) isn't edible.
If there's no grass, they need hay to eat, which you need to physically place on the feeding bench in the buildings.

u can't reload the day to change up the products you get, it'll stay the same

You’d have to probably go back a day or two to reset it but since the game saves every day it’s not possible
