currently using this guide to level fishing in riverland.

guide states: Fish the whole day on day 2, get a fiberglass rod and some bait with the rest of your money, then continue fishing until you pass out, aiming for fishing level 3 or 4. Passing out with no money won't harm you in any way, and leveling any skill ensures that you'll restore all energy the next day!

my questions:

1. my inventory is full from fishing, should i delete the fishes, and continue? what exactly do i do with the fish? do i sell it by going all the way back to my house and putting it inside the selling bin?
2. is it fine if i "pass out" instead of sleeping? what are the negatives of doing this?

had some more questions but i forgot them for now, its a bit overwhelming to learn this game xd gives no instructions lol

good idea as suggested by others to place chests near u when u fish
if you fish near the ocean then u can just sell to willy directly, he is open everyday except saturday, and the day he goes to the clinic (spring 9th)

you can also eat the fish you chest to replenish energy - small mouth bass and chubs esp. if they are iridium quality

you lose 10% of what you have in terms of gold, up to 1k when you pass out (only applies to anywhere outside your house, if you are in your house even if you don't end up in bed you won't lose the gold), so as the guide stated in point 4, it's fine to pass out if u have no gold/if you don't mind losing gold.

-# tbh even if you don't level up, if you know you'll be fishing for the entire day next day, it's still fine to just pass out bc you'll be eating and replenishing food as you fish anyway, but that's just my take

consider going for the baitmaker when you reach level 6, it can speed up the money making process and is a wonderful 1.6 addition, esp. if you enjoy fishing

Bombs, food buffs, spicy eel ||can trade ruby for them at the desert trader, one ruby = one spicy eel|| for speed and luck, (check tv for daily luck and go on a good luck or very good luck day) to help find ||holes and ladders easier and quicker. galaxy sword, to obtain go in the middle of the three pillars in the desert and hold a prismatic shard|| is great if you have a prismatic shard, also spicy eel + coffee cause speed stacks, stairs, use Crystalariums to duplicate jades to ||trade with desert trader on Sundays for staircases, one jade equals one stair case||, Salads are also a cheap healing food and are always available at the saloon, cheese is also great for healing

I’m about to sleep but I’ve been grinding on my new save

And I’m perplexed by this farming math

Google says a bunch of stuff about profitable crops

It says parsnips are barely profitable compared to potatoes

Which at a flat rate yes

You get 30 on top of the seed price rather than 20

But when taken to a large scale

Say you have 1000 coins

You can plant 20 potato seeds and come out with 1600 coins minimum not accounting for quality (not sure how to work in the few extra potato drops to this equation)

Or you can plant 50 parsnips and sell for 40 each to come out with 2000 coins minimum

Is this right someone tell me I’m tweaking because I practiced this mindset for the first half of the month but then I started farming the other more expensive seeds and seemed to make more. I’m starting to think I should’ve let it grow more, it could’ve been that I didn’t let them grow exponentially enough

Like when starting out you maybe want to maximize profit per cost.
And then when there are too many crops to water, it's maximizing just raw profit per crop

A lot of the strategy for ||getting lots of iridium there boils down to just like, using lots of explosives to break rocks, combined with the occasional staircase. Be sure to bring in some diamonds, rubies, quartz, and jade for the desert trader as well, they can have spectacular trades.||

Consider buying a stronger weapon from the adventurer’s guild as well. Even if you have the ||galaxy sword|| already, there’s another powerful weapon sold there you’ll probably be interested in

I usually always get to floor 40 by day 6 or 7 at most, I never have any reason to speed run to floor 120, but if I really wanted to do that, uhm.. with a standard pickaxe I might be able to do it on day 10 but it'd be really bad, otherwise is better to stick to floor 40, pause, upgrade pick to copper, and with copper pick you can resume and go all the way to 120, with averaging 20 floors a day approx

u need 5 bars (that u craft with coal and ores in a furnace - 5 ores 1 coal per bar), then u bring money to clint (the blacksmith, near the library)
copper level tools are mostly 2k, except for copper trash can
