in spring, people often make money with fishing
buy strawberries on the 13th
talk to some folks, start on the mines, get started on community center, getting started on lifestock, etc.

by the end of spring, you are usually going to have spring foraging + spring crop bundle done; and boiler room depending on ur progress in the mines (so it's not like u'd be able to finish the whole cc at once haha) many of the community center bundles are kinda season-locked because the goal is for you to get to know the game better/engage with some season specific crops/fish

the first tool i usually upgrade is pickaxe. also try to get farming lvl 6 early, and getting lots of gold/iron/refine quartz to automatically irrigate crops

personally i would continue the current save file until i am familiar with the mechanisms of the game and how to get all the materials in community centre

refined quartz is important as a whole, the next thing it'd be used for would often be quality sprinklers, but you're still in the early floors of the mines hmm (quality sprinkler = 1 gold bar 1 iron bar 1 refined quartz; recipe at level 6 farming)
oh ya in summer there are thunderstorms that can strike ur crops, so u gotta make lightning rods (recipe available at foraging level 6); and refined quartz is used for that (alongside iron bar + bat wings)
so i would prioritize progressing in the mines, getting more iron bc many stuff would need it in the upcoming seasons

Advancing 5 levels in the mine (to unlock the next elevator floor) is usually possible even with neutral or some bad luck, but more is usually tricky.

So you can progress the mines even on those days - its just a question if you could have used the day better in other ways.

the spa opens up on day 3 summer, so u can replenish energy there if necessary
eating leftover parsnips, carrots from spring, or leftover fish
some just buy salads
when u hit level 100 in the mines u get a slight perma increase in energy
(more importantly, many set up sprinklers asap so u don't expend that much energy XD)
