The quest will only give you some money, iridium bars have much better uses. Sprinklers are not one of them in my opinion, quality sprinklers are perfect and easier to get anyway

Id suggest saving it for now, wait until you get more and get either crystalariums which serve numerous purposes, get an iridium band which makes the whole game easier or upgrade tools at some point

I can tell you how I start.

1. Fish for 14k. Buy pack upgrade. Upgrade to copper pick. That is 4k. I mine day 5 for 45 copper ore. 20 for furnace 25 for copper bars.
   Egg festival buy 100 strawberries.

Summer i plant 10 of each crop then spend the rest on blueberries. And I easily get to level 10 farming.
After egg festival im in mines so I can gather resources for quality sprinklers. So yes I do in fact water 100 strawberries by hand everyday

My day 1 is parsnips 1 of each crop and flower from Pierre, forage, chop trees down for a couple of chests.
2 to 4 fish
5 mine goal is 45 copper ore
6 to 12 fish get pack upgrade and copper pick
13 plant strawberries 100
14 to 28 water strawberries and mine.
