Better, base cheese is like 125 energy and 55 health. Aged later on it can have even more stats. Both are good options, cheese would be limited to how much you processed and saved up from milk. Your milk limit being x amount of cows per day for 1 each.

Hi, I have a pretty specific question. Is there a way, maybe using the newer dialogue commands, to prompt things like "you have caught x fish" and stuff like that so that it adds that entry to the collections? I'd imagine this would be done by naming a chicken, but I'm not super familiar with this. I've only added items using IDs through the dialogue commands

It's hard to make a terrible mistake at the beginning but i would say be careful when harvesting your crops. I mean don't use any weapons, just use an empty slot or you may destroy a crop that takes days to grow (i did that)

You gain friendship points by talking and gifting to npcs. They have bench marks in terms of hearts when you get so many points. Different heart levels can unlock cutscenes for villagers, they can also gift you randomly in the mail too.

That's relatable; I use It's Stardew Time for a similar reason. However, I've been trying to break the habit of pausing manually over "little things" and instead just have Stardew Time set to run slower overall and slower/pause if one/both players (if I'm playing with my friend) are in a menu/cut scene.
Part of this is because I don't want to stretch the day out too much as it also means the game saves less frequently (increasing the likelihood of losing progress like you had), but I also feel like the habit doesn't make that much sense for this game in the first place. As I said to Brad a bit ago, there's always another day, there's always another season, there's always next year, so just let time go at a relatively constant pace and do whatever you can with the time.

my issue with the saving part though is that i can only play sporadically, as i have classes the majority of the day, and then have work to do afterwards, and also obviously need to eat, so my gaming is always split up into ~30 min to ~2 hour increments, which is also why i really like/need the pausing

Running through levels 20-29 in the mines and farming the duggies (mole mobs that spawn on the tilled soil patches) on those would give you a chance, plus those floors often have earth crystals chilling if you explore.

Both, they're often in boxes you break but those have a wide variety of items they can drop. I think floors 10-20 you can hoe up cave carrots though.

As an added point - the duggies you're killing will drop geodes quite often too.
