There are different fishing rods. Each better than the previous one

Fibreglass lets u add bait to it. Iridium rod lets u add bait + bobber

Early game buy the basic bait . Its just 5 gold each

Abit later u can make deluxe bait maker which gives u deluxe bait

Other than that- u can make a fish bait maker which turns the fish into its bait. That way u can bait fish for that specific fish and get gud money

Split screen - if you both pause then the time stops but otherwise runs continuously
Bombs crash the game

Online co-op - time runs continuously no stops which can be annoying with late game cut scenes

Both versions one person can lay in the bed and get energy back as long as the other player runs around

I wouldn’t recommend split screen on the switch, we experienced a lot of issues in the late game.

I just started an online co-op with my daughter on the switch so haven’t gotten far enough to know.

There is a separate channel for looking for multiplayer so you may can check there for advice. I am sure a pc game works better than the switch

Only real issues I have seen in vanilla game so far have been loss of audio when I have to swap my usb 3 switches for the KB and mouse to my other pc as I use a dual PC setup. Its not every time just once in awhile it will happen. Only fix I seen was a reload and that can be problematic with others online and what ever they may be doing etc.

other than that just depends what you need. he sells some materials like essence, bat wings, slime. a void egg from him can be hatched with the incubator. i usually prefer to get at least one for the variety.

hey i'm not a new farmer but i have a trick that might help people. when you're clearing your farm, keep every stone, log of wood, fiber, coal copper ore, keep all of them in a chest. they'll always be handy later! make sure to craft that chest as soon as possible.

After the crops grow, if they didn't turn giant, you can keep watering them to try again
