Hi! Been years since I last played SDV so I forgot many things. Trying to start playing again as there seems to be many new big patches. Wanna ask something about planning farms. How much planning of crops and watering them is needed daily? I understand if you spend all your money on crops frequently you get to earn more money but early game without tools upgrade, that might be very tedious to water manually right? how do people do it and manage their time to do other stuff like talking to npcs etc?

And is there a way to easily finish the bundles or check progress? I think this felt a bit tedious last time and I was always afraid of missing things out and fail to complete the bundle.

for that last part: there is no time limit, you can't "fail a bundle" and you won't miss out on things

there's a cc button in your inventory which will pulse while you're hovering over stuff that needs to be put into the bundles, and you can click on it to look through the bundles

I fish a lot when im not farming. Plant all original parsnips and buy some potatoes. Forage at least once a week (saturday is best). With forage, parsnips and seaweed/algae picked up from fishing this should help with energy for mines and fishing. Use all money early on for backpack upgrade and at minimum fiberglass rod. This helps a lot. Any rainy day with good/very good luck go to the mines. Any rainy day with any other luck fish in the river. Always check the tv each day for weather the next day and luck that day. Decide how much energy u want to spend on crops i suggest not buying more than 45ish before your first ||stardrop|| or tool upgrade. Its far too time and energy consuming. Craft sprinklers as soon as u can if crop farming is a priority which it should be for maybe summer of year 1. Start building a coop once u have backpack upgrade, fishing rod upgrade and maybe a tool upgrade depending (if u visit mines regularly for example or have a lot of crops). If u do little bits of the game consistently u should naturally find u have what u need for cc. Also never sell anything until u have saved at least 2 of it. Use wiki if u want and check if its a cc item. Dont rush urself

Definitely pick them if they’re not too out of your way but it might be worthwhile to spend a couple hours in the forest picking them too

Explosive ammo and or bombs are a good choice to quickly clear rocks to find stairs down. Keeping stair cases on you is great for bypassing levels quickly when you need. Food/drink for healing and buffing is always a good choice too.

I'm assuming there is a way to predict, but that's beyond my scope of knowledge. There's a % chance of finding ladders when breaking rocks or killing enemies on the floor and daily luck also affects the rates.

iirc there is some super super technical way to predict a general area where the ladder will spawn without a predictor tool/mod based on a bunch of factors and previous ladder spawns but its like beyond complicated

There’s no need to complete the vault/repair the bus, or complete any of the community center bundles, to be able to find coal. It can be found in the regular mines

Once you do the cutscene where Lewis shows you the community center, it will trigger a quest line to begin repairing the rooms in the community center, which rewards you with things in the community (repairing the bus, repairing the minecarts for faster travel, etc). Open your inventory and there's a slot for boots. As for other items that boost stats permanently, the most common are books that you read and give a permanent buff. Youll find them as toy go alond
