but you don't need to worry about trying to get the max popup - I don't believe it's ever actually better than being close

(since what matters is the tile you fish into)

if it's the minigame itself that's a problem, clicking the left mouse button makes the green bar rise, you try to keep the green bar on the fish as it moves up and down to make the gauge on the other side fill up. Fish is caught when the bar is full.
There's no pressure sensitivity ofc so you just have to click rapidly to keep your bar from moving too fast.. it takes time but you get a feel for it after a while
