As for the eggs, the higher friendship you are with your chickens, the better products you get. Soon they'll be giving you large eggs that when processed turn into gold quality mayo (the quality of the egg itself isn't really important)
As for the fish, the higher your fishing level, the further into the water you can cast your rod, reaching higher fishing zones. At the max fishing zone fish are gold quality by default, and if you get a perfect catch it will bump up their quality to iridium

then I make a few more chests and my general organization system is:

• tools and resources (wood, stone, etc)
• fishing
• mining
• chest for each season (usually two chests actually since I start to run out of space - usually one for farming and one for foraging)
• misc chest for artifacts, museum rewards, decor, etc
• chest for quest items - community center donations, things for the fair, things for character quests

So what's the best way to handle fruit trees? As far as I can tell the wiki says that when they start producing starred fruits they'll drop a sapling with the same star... and those grow faster/produce better fruit faster?

Does that mean I should replace the trees every year until they drop me iridium saplings?

I guess. Quality doesn't matter if you just plan to process them (wine/jelly/dehydrator) though.

Quality saplings have a growth acceleration boost so they get back to grown faster

But it’s only worth it for silver as otherwise you just lose out on time due to the decreased time until iridium when you’re already at gold
