There are new types of cats and dogs, tickets are a reward for ticket machines in mayors house, there are jellies you can fish up in rivers, caves, and oceans. You can till different spots from twig spots for carrot, summer squash, broccoli, or melon seeds, and you can drink mayo

to be honest I don't know what 1.6 update did to change it, just know that getting 1 heart a week is pretty difficult vanilla. I remember having to talk to them every day and give them their favorite gifts twice a week.
