Yes, there is a correlation between perfect catches and the quality of the fish in Stardew Valley — and that includes Iridium-quality fish.

Here's how it works:
The quality of fish you catch in Stardew Valley (i.e., Normal, Silver, Gold, Iridium) depends on a few factors:

1. Fishing Skill Level
   Higher fishing levels increase your chances of catching better quality fish.

2. Distance from Shore
   The farther you cast your line from the shore, the better chance you have at higher quality fish.

3. Perfect Catch Bonus
   A perfect catch guarantees at least one quality level higher than it would have been otherwise.

They're dirt cheap tho, quality sprinklers espeically

1 iron bar is like one go at floor 41, 1 gold bar is one go at floor 81 and refined quartz can easily be gotten with a few crab pots and with the quartz you already have

Basic Sprinklers (level 2 farming) are stupid cheap, but most people don't really like their layout style.
Quality sprinklers (level 6 farming) are pretty easy to farm, and a lot of players will usually skip Basics for them instead.

Personally, I'm a Basic Sprinkler advocate, especially for new players. Since level 6, and floor 80 can take awhile for new players.

My personal tactic every new farm is to grind out 40 Basic sprinklers before Strawberry time. Since all it takes is level 2 farming (which is like...20 crops), and floor 40 to start farming them. So it gives me more time to fish, and I don't feel as much of a time crunch for my big first Strawberry buy.
