I'd only really scythe it as you need it so long as it isn't in the way.
If you run out of hay, scythe a little grass. Otherwise just leave it to spread for animals/future hay unless you want to use the space for something.

If you're struggling try getting the training rod. It helps with learning and getting used to the minigame as well as getting some levels up which makes fishing easier

That's pretty much it. Cheese and Mayo sells pretty well, and you can get it daily. Once happy they'll give Large Versions of egg and milk, which makes Gold Qualiy Mayo and Cheese

high friendship and i think you can use cheese on the artisan bundle

The chance goes up the more friendship points you have. Eventually they'll only give large products as long as you keep petting them.

89 Cheese is overkill. Having like 15-20 sitting around for energy/healing is fine, but you're never gonna need 90 of them at once.
