Standard Farm is the... standard pick. It's the farm with the most tile space to build on.
Riverland comes with a free Fish Smoker, which is great because fishing is a great source of income early on. As a downside, it's also got half as much tile space as the Standard Farm.
Meadowlands comes with a free chicken coop, 2 chickens, and early access to Blue Grass.
I've also heard Four Corners and Hill-Top farm is good, but I wouldn't know anything about that.

Best tip i can give you is dont go in underprepared, that place is no joke

iron pick is fine, gold would be better, but you mostly wanna use bombs etc anyway because time is your biggest constraint

bring lots of food like cheese or salad, buffs like spicy eel, lucky lunch or pumpkin soup, coffee or TSE, slingshot with explosive ammo if you know how to use it, staircases, good rings, good boots etc

Immunity is much better. A single point of Def reduces a single point of dmg from enemies, food makes you unkillable anyway so thats redundant. Immunity is unique, nothing else can prevent debuffs like that and some of them are very annoying or even dangerous

let the animals graze outside. if there are no more grass outside, buy a grass starter. lots of it. and spread 'em out and let them spread out. make sure to put up a fence around the barn/coop so that the animals won't spread out. once the animals come back inside the barn/coop, don't forget to close it before going to bed or else you'll find the animals the next day already grazing outside and it'll be a bit hard to take care of them...especially the chickens and ducks since they'll be difficult to locate in the grass.

for Leah, i think my reason was because her house was close to the farm and because she liked art. It was hard tho, especially since she was hard to locate and I can't enter the house before I got close to her. with Abigail, I just wanted to try getting a goth one haha. her hair is unique too haha
