How to get the Prismatic Jelly

In order to find a prismatic slime, you must search for one in the mines to kill in order to obtain prismatic jelly. The most recommended method (single player only) would be to use the elevator between floors 0 & 5, or any other preferred floor, 5 is just easiest, to reset the mines until it spawns. Just use your hoe on anything that can be. Places off the farm will be reset the next day so you can do that over and over again

its copper, steel does 5 tiles in a row

and, as mentioned, clay is best gathered by tilling tiles, your farm, the mines or the beach work well for that. Keep an eye out for worm spots as well

Btw Im trying to have a decent start with money on my first farm, I chose Meadowlands. What are the best ways to make money early on before I manage to get enough mayo machines or pigs?

fishing makes great cash early on and works well as it's self sufficient in energy and you very quickly can get more and more money per day as you progress

having a small crop field on the side is also really helpful, ideally with some sprinklers (basic are still very good for cost), but without is fine

basically everywhere is, just avoid the river most of the time, it's generally only good when you can catch catfish

50 is a good number yeah, then in summer something like blueberries is great, maybe 100-150 of those (as you get more energy efficient with your tools as you level up farming)

harvesting crops will give you xp from crops, and yes petting chickens and picking up their eggs

stardew on anything is pretty great, switch as a platform is less so if you want to have any access to files, to moving files, to modding

still a good pickup if it's going to be your primary platform

@gaunt gale Btw one last thing, I keep getting worried about achieving enough before certain events or dates like Birthdays or Festivals. Is there something that's kind of a time limit I should keep my mind on? Or can I just allow to ignore the set ups for festivals and time based events?

there's basically nothing with a time limit so you can avoid festivals for years or just completely skip stuff you don't want to do now

there's also no time limit to playing, at least not one within the realm of practicality so you're all good on that front

the only real limits are

• if you wanna dance with someone at the first flower festival, thats hard yr 1 without trying pretty hard
• the grange display at the stardew valley fair
  those are both just for fun tho and dont really cause a major impact on play, so you can completely skip them and be fine

you only need 10 clay, you'll probably get it just tilling a field for crops
