Hey guys just about to start my first ever farm. I can't really decide between the standard farm and the four corners one. Ik the latter one has geods right on the farm.

And the hardwood stump means you can start getting pieces of hardwood at copper axe instead of steel

Yeah, the only part I prefer of the standard one is the open space for design, without the walls between each corner.

But the stone place seems really helpful in the 4 corner one. So I can't decide for now.

to start, it can be. try the training rod from willy's shop to raise your level to get a bigger bar. then use the normal rod or fiberglass

The biggest problem I see with people when they complain about mining is that they always:
1.mine rocks when enemies are behind them
2.Not hit enemies into walls (to make killing slimes easier)
3. Not use bombs
4. Not bring food into mine
5. Not being as efficient as possible when breaking rocks (to break rocks efficiently, hit rocks that are in groups to minimize time between hits)

Meadowlands can be good because it starts you off with a free coop, 2 chickens, and access to blue grass.
Riverlands gives you access to a Fish Smoker, which is good because fishing is always good money early on.
Standard offers the most tiles and is pretty straight in terms of no obstacles for building.
