ultimately it wont matter because its not like stuff is time gated but its good practice to level your axes and pickaxes to make better use of your time

starting animals early is fine, good to get animal hearts for community center products but most of your cash will likely come from farming crops or fishing

theyre better for fun and utility than for money compared to agriculture

if you wanna get into the secret woods without gold tools theres a trick but idk if i should be talking about it in this channel lol
secret woods arent super useful until you get a gold axe anyway

you can always grow hardwood trees though and there are better methods for accumulating hardwood as you progress

axe upgrades help a lot in efficiency because individual trees take forever to chop, a pickaxe can at least be substituted for with bombs

bombs can damage trees too but its a bit more expensive than its worth until your time matters more than your money

i didnt use the day I lost it it is first day fall so I was using a hoe and watering can and I have 5 chests with different colors

You can exit without saving and you will lose all progress of the day you lost the axe

And start over after restarting the game

it isss very overwhelming, there’s not really a “tutorial” and any guides you watch are gonna be packed full of information, i’d honestly just explore each aspect of the game on your own term and pull up the wiki for any questions you may have.

I waited a few years to touch the community center, while I focused on making friends. in THIS save, that is. In my first save I neglected my neighbors ,did the CC, and made money. it wasn't very satisfying
