you can hook up basically any controller through steam. but honestly i find that stardew has nice keyboard controls. due to the camera itself and how its played i only need awsd and the escape buttons. then the mouse does the rest.

I'm super new to the game, but for the first like 14 days all I did was fish. this allowed me to get the fiber pole then the iridium pole for best value fish... once I got a lot of cash I'd go to mines to get materials for sprinklers. then I will farm... meanwhile I'm doing minor farming for farm level 2. to unlock sprinklers. is this method decent?

you can actually catch iridium quality fish with the bamboo rod. the training rod is the only one you can't.

what i do is fish till day 13 get 14k
2k for backpack
2k for copper pickaxe
10k on strawberry seeds.
then i water in the mornings and mine in the afternoons. this lets me get to level 6 farming for quality sprinklers. which are superior to sprinklers in every way. sprinkler only do four tiles total. which are the two to the sides, one up top, one on bottom. quality sprinklers water all eight squares around them.

but your idea is a good one.

thanks for the info. I've seen the go around where you place a sprinkler and go like 1 spot up and 2 to the right if you continue this pattern, every plant will be watered. no empty plants. this doesn't allow for scarecrows tho... I'm still learning there haha
