Moss spawns on trees, the older the tree, the more likely moss will spawn on it. If you aren't deforsting the map, you'll usually start seeing it more on trees that are a Month+ old. Tapper Farms are pretty good for moss, since you won't be cutting those trees down.

IN summer, One day (random) will be a green rain event, which will spawn a lot of large weeds which give moss, as well as cover most trees in moss.

I started a week after launch in 2016 but then didn't play a long time and just recently got back into it and now I'm playing on switch mainly (year 8 rn) to finish my vanilla playthrough and do the whole story and endgame content ^^

Ticking a single check takes Gold, and grants the supposed room reward overnight.

Maybe use deluxe speed grow the first time you make it to get it grown faster but after it doesn’t matter as a keg can only produce once every 6.5 days and acient fruit grows every 7 days
