I mean if you're not gonna use the space yet, there's no practical reason to clear out the farm. Pigs are also optional and the fact you already have a barn is already good progress. Y1 is still pretty early too. If this is your first playthrough, you're making decent progress and you can apply what you've learned to the next year.

Coop and barn are great because they give you passive income with eggs and milk every day. Horse helps you get around quicker. House is only needed for cooking (there's an item for this) and marriage.

Hey everyone! Since I know nothing about the game mind as well ask here. Why is this game so good and what makes it so good? My GF was in love with SDV when we were stuck at home during the pandemic and she played every day for hours. She stopped since work became busy and in between I had her try out a few games in similar genre whether it’s pixel 2d or 3d. They lasted at most 2 weeks. Now after a few years she’s back, again being crazy about it (especially after I helped install modded new content) so I can’t help but to wonder. Maybe some of you have played other similar games too and would know. Just curious lol

Before I learned about SDV, I was originally looking for a game with just long hours of playtime.
I then saw YouTubers playing this game and they made look boring because all they showed in their playthroughs was just them fishing everyday for money.
Even so I still felt interested in the game because of what people on this discord server were saying about the game when I first joined.
