1. Leave space between functional areas. Put trees, grass and furniture/decorations there.
2. Use paths heavily, thickly, and vary them up for fun.
3. Put machines and storage inside buildings.
4. Maybe you don't strictly NEED to fence up the animal area(s), but it looks really good.

from what i've read if u have 10 hearts (or 8 with a romanceable villager) the decay stops so u dont have to talk to them anymore or gift them, the hearts don't decrease. if u marry someone the decay never stops tho so keep interacting with ur spouse lol
