I suggest that you craft sprinklers with it first, (more energy at the start of the day), and then farm crafting materials for bombs with your gold pickaxe, I mostly do it at lvl40 mines. staircase and bombs will get you through the dessert mines, I forgot what it's called

The best thing to do when you start playing is really just farm! The mines open up on day 5 so if you get bored you can do that, the best money within the first couple of days would be fishing which i think unlocks on day 2
